If i am correct, there was in the 1990's or earlier, some one like David Brooks, who made a special 4 cylinder 8 Valve head for 2000 CC ohc pinto, and capable to 240 HP Another i wish i had bought long ago, was a Holbay pinto. A two valve / cylinder. With special cooling system running through head. Was an Oval hotrod engine back then.
no, I cant see how the origonal piper twin cam conversion gave any more power as it didnt change the ports or combustion chamber. Having Raced against cars with them fitted i know the Connaught/warrier heads work really well
Hello graham, what bhp would you expect with the big inlet head , but with a 10.5 cr , same exhaust, carbs ,also what size inlets was it running thanks.
which cam we talking about? either way the drop in CR would probably loose 7-10 bhp. burton head in this test has 45.5mm valves, but 44mm can make really good power, its more about shape the valve size
Thanks for all the work u put in to give us this information
Brilliant comparison tests - a good head is the basis of everything. Thanks 👍🏻
Like the science. Clear and straightforward advice - thanks!
very interesting
Great r & d as usual. Thank you tons!
Wow, that's amazing. Thanks
That's a really good comparison test 👏 get yourself a decent cylinder head and go from there 👌 .

troube was back then everyone claimed silly big bhp figures, so who knows what really made what
Great results that 👍 I’d like to see balls out max from a pinto
thanks! awesome!
Graham have you ever tested any of the twin cam conversations for the pinto head?

@@PenguinMotors Then also a lot of cash involved.
Cheers
What's the max compression ratio, full race 2.0 you have tested? What were the results?
Thanks!

@@PenguinMotors OK, a similar head to the big inlet head , fr30 , 10.5 cr , 45s and Ashley, what are you guessing bhp.
🛠🛠🛠🛠🛠
What was the CR with both the heads Graham?
Same on both heads 11.3
@@PenguinMotors probably not much deck surface left to get another ratio+ out of it for the gts3?
very interesting
