Nothing like a blower with both pulleys. Absolutely woke up my SC’s midrange and power up top - pulls very hard. That Kong is a great setup - wish I could get it on my Toyota with an RPM fuel system/tune.
I was just about to say Fran's going to say he misses his ZR1. Low and behold that's exactly what happens. He will absolutely need a 2650 on his new build. That thing will be a monster. It will need to be renamed the Kraken because it will only come out when absolutely necessary.

@@biggiesmalls7939 Even though the C6 ZR1 is “more car”, I think the C6 ZO6 is a “better” car. Once the valve issue is taken care of it’s much more Fun to drive being so lightweight! Gotta love them Both!

It's all in the tune,tuning becomes so important at these levels along with plenty of fuel!!!

It’s a stock bottom end which happens to have a 20% stronger aluminum block and everything else is forged. So yes stock for the LS9 but very robust.
Whatever happened to the blue cts-v with the 2650?? No dyno #'s?

Bra,I dont mean to sound arrogant but why would a NA Z06 making 600+ hp to the rear tires surprise you? These LS motors are pretty much race engines from the factory, they respond really well to the slightest modification!!!

I'm curious why the KONG 2650 system isn''t compatiable to install on a c6 Gran sport?
They are only made for LSA and LS9
So basically the same engine with the exact same blower will get almost twice the power if properly built and tuned?
Cam, pulleys, 20+ lbs boost, meth, e85, intake, tune, you get the idea

Guys what spark plug for a head cam c6 z06? I tried tr6 and felt down on power from the tr5. Thinking spark tables are off or something

Feel like the high flow cats add torque to these cars instead of straight pipes with 20 less wtq and they make the same whp some how

Okay, I've got to ask. It seems at least half of the C6s I see on the channel have those C6 ZR1 wheels in the graphite finish (whether they're a ZR1, Z06 or whatever). I live in Florida where, it seems, every third car is a Corvette and I've NEVER seen those wheels down here. I don't even see them on cars on other channels. Are you guys giving them away with the purchase of heads and cam, or what? ;-)
They're GM wheels, the color is competition gray. Most 20 spokes you see are chrome, with silver and comp gray being less common. The Z06 w/ Z07 package came with the comp grays too
@@cornfed_zed7327 I had competition gray wheels on my second Z06 but they were almost flat black. My current one is Cyber Gray Metallic so I've got Gloss Black wheels on it. Down here in Florida C6 and C7 Corvettes go: 5% polished or chrome wheels, 95% black wheels. Pretty much never see silver or gray paint. Maybe a regional thing? Cheers.

I'll take a c6 Corvette over the c8 and c7 any damn day of the week. Just a simpler car than the new ones.
Brian spangler i had the c6 z06 and decided to move up to the c7. I like all the extra tech and power but yeah it was a simpler car.
C6's are great looking, more fun to drive, more comfortable (C7,C8 are cramped), more reliable and have ROUND TAIL LIGHTS!!!
@@prom8332 Yeah the c7 taillights are definitely a little out there, the c8s are the same. The c6 taillights look more realistic, like an actual production car taillight and not incomplete concept.
@@kiddt1999 I'm not saying the c7s are ugly cars because they're not. If I could afford to have 6th and 7th generation corvette I would. But if given choice between the 2 I'll take a c6.
I have no car rnow because I totaled my 5.0 so I'm debating on getting a c6 vette or c7 but cant decide because I can get a ls3 vette for 17k or a c7 for 35k. Ughh
With the driver mod? 9.20-9.30 @150-155.....
The blue devil Zr1 went 9.5 @ 150 with 820whp - this should be much faster with a driver.

He didn’t know if the heads were milled some customer opt to not have them milled so then not needing different length pushrods

For a heads cam C6 Z yes stock bolts are fine, for the Zr1 no it got heads studs.

We only install head studs if our customer wants to run over 15+ psi. It’s little insurance for us I case they do something stupid
