We are all about raising and training our horses, the Missouri Foxtrotter. Our goal is to bring awareness to this breed and showcase just how wonderful they are! We also raise and train our working border collie dogs. And don’t forget the homesteads sheep, goats and mini cattle!!! We also go to occasional auctions and recently have gotten into regenerative farming/agriculture. We are all about learning how to improve our fields/soil.

I will never be able to thank you enough for saving dear Oliver. I got teary-eyed when I saw the conditions in which our boy has been living, and sobbed when I heard about the mare expiring while you were there and the other horse being down. Oliver has a chance now. Even if he has some health issues, he will, at least, be loved and well taken care of. I love how much care went into fixing up his new stall. Very sweet. Oliver has managed to capture a great many hearts in a short period of time. God bless him and you and your lovely family.

Just read your note. Horrified that Mare expired. Saw the horse on the ground. Believe in God. But also believe in Karma. For those people, who did that to wonderful animals. Hope Karma gets them. Big time.

For anyone reading this. I got the opportunity to meet these nice people and see Oliver and person today at the vet clinic. So great that after everything, he is getting the best care possible. Look forward to updates.

Those poor horses!!!! My heart hurts for them all, I can't believe anyone could do that to such wonderful animals! I am glad the authorities know of this, and that you have been able to save Oliver from such a fate!!! Now I pray that all of them can be saved, and that oliver will be able to recover and thrive!!!! 🙏🙏🙏
I doubt very seriously that it's intentional. They are most likely financially overwhelmed, just trying to feed and care for so many of them. I know thats not fair for the horses, but what do you do? There's unfortunately way more needy animals out there, than there are people to take them in. I'm sure they are doing the best they can with what they have available to them. I know what it costs to feed just one horse and its astronomical. So I cant imagine what it costs to feed and provide healthcare for dozens of them.
@@1980bwc She would not have been overwhelmed if she was selling the horses at a fair price. Demanding top dollar for horses in extremely poor health is why she is sitting on a hundred horses she can't take care of properly.

Let me not let my thoughts be out loud on that evil women which well for the good of all of Oliver's friends left behind they all of them need to be removed & never ever let her evilness be upon any animals again especially horses which have died on her property. Oliver's court proof of them being animal abusers. And Medical vet x-ray evidence is proof of those horses even the babies have what Oliver has. F***, those poor horses. 🤬👿👺Glad you got Oliver out of there. Hey all let's start a Help Oliver's Friends go fund them account. It is difficult to find the right words to express how heavy my heart is when I see the dire conditions that people put animals in. I am thankful that Oliver is now in your care, his life is about to change for the better. I am also glad that all of you made it home safely and I can’t wait to watch his transformation. I don’t know very much about horses, so watching his transformation will be an educational experience for me. Thank you 💖❤️❤️

To think the previous owner no saled him at that auction just to drag him back to Texas to his impending doom. Thank god for this timely intervention.

Well done for saving Oliver. I worked with horses for over 30 years and have saved a few myself. I taught riding for most of those years. My best save was an Arab who was going to be shot at 3 years old because he was deemed uncontrollable. Had him for over 20 years. RIP Bootman xxx

These awful people passed Oliver out of the Missouri sale because they did not get enough money for him. They took him to an auction in Texas. to get more. That is why J.R had to drive all the way to Texas to get him. Thank GOD for J.R and all of you wonderful people who saved his life.
I sit here watching this video with tears in my eyes and sorrow on my heart. I hope and pray that Oliver will be ok and can live a good healthy life. Thank you for rescuing him! I don’t wish bad for the people you rescued him from, I just pray things are handled and dealt with appropriately for the horses and animals they are suppose to be caring for. It's nine months later and Oliver is night and day better, he's become a strong beautiful boy all thanks to JR and his incredible care. Thank you JR for saving Oliver from certain death.

I’m sitting here almost in tears, watching you unload Oliver at his new home. I know if anybody can nurse him back to health you can. Praying there’s no permanent issues with his back end. He just looks so sad and confused but i know that all that will go away soon. He’s home and safe. God bless you.
JR, what you and your daughter did last weekend was nothing short of heroic! It was very, very well done! I live in England and I can't imagine driving such a long way in a day! I think that might be like driving from London to Athens, Greece! You can't get much further as there's no more land left in Europe!
But Oliver is worth all that driving; what a truly sweet horse! You got him out of a terrible situation, and I am sure that he really could not be in better hands. I shall pray lots that the Lord will continue to lay His hands on Oliver and give him healing, and that his tests and vet visit will go well. Thank you for saving him. It grieved me to see the state of him at the auction, and to see how he and the other horses were treated at the place in Texas. But with all that love around him from you and your family, a beautiful clean stable all his own, really good quality food and water and as much as he needs, and professional vet care, you will see him go from strength to strength day by day. God willing, within a few months he will be so much stronger and enjoying life.

I agree, it made me very sick to my heart and stomach to see those farm conditions and poor Oliver's worse condition. Just unbelievable. At least he has been rescued and will receive all the love and care he deserves and needs. It's worth every penny for him, Sweet Sad Oliver. Don’t Know who Needs to see this, Oliver is in the Finest Care that any Animal could ever be. I’ve known Jr Rosa and his wife (Emori) and kids for sometime now and he and his Family are Awesome Folks I even sold them the Black Lab you will see in some of his Videos I am the Owner of Doolittle Diesel Repair and Tire here in Missouri about 10 miles from the Rosa Farm.. Gonna be Real Honest I don’t even like horses and Oliver’s Journey to The Rosa Farm has Really Touched me Enough that I’m Gonna go See him this weekend I can Assure you anything y’all donate to this Fine Family will Go to what it is Meant For to help Oliver if anyone ever gets in this area of Central Missouri y’all Really Need to Meet the Entire Rosa Family, I’m so Proud of what Jr is doing and has Accomplished over the last Few Years.

I hope Oliver gets better soon and his condition with the hind legs can be improved. It’s really shocking to see how much weight he lost since you saw him at the auction. I wished there would have been a way to rescue him without paying the seller so much money and supporting their business. But I understand that wasn’t possible.

Bad News-No actual surprises at the vet regarding Oliver's blood test results & his additional health issues. But we expected these things. However, I believe Oliver is in the best hands he could be in.
Good News-I have no doubt that Oliver will now receive the best veterinary care he can get in the time frame that he needs to have his medications, supplements, feed, constant care, monitoring, etc.
Oliver has so many people praying for him. He really does have the best chance for a better, healthier life now where he will be loved & in his new 'Fur-ever Home'!
We all are praying for his recovery!
Oliver coming out of the trailer into the barn.. the look in his eyes. The way he looked around at everything.. it was like a sigh of relieve for him. His look in his eyes for me was, FINALLY I am home. I was not here when the donations were being taken. I have just found you today and I am watching from the beginning. It makes me sick seeing how badly these horses were and their conditions. These people shouldn’t be keeping horses if they don’t take care of them. So glad you were able to save Oliver. Such a sweet boy. I love Clydesdales. So sweet and graceful.

Man, the back story of what you encountered at the seller's property is just heartbreaking. I hope those who are profiting off these horses while keeping them in miserable conditions, deserve nothing more than a jail cell & hefty fines. You are so thoughtful to think of how the rough roads would cause poor Oliver who is already in pain, more discomfort. After making sure you were not just a flipper who cares nothing about the horses, I just subscribed. It's obvious from this video how much you care about the animals.

Poor Oliver looks like he's had an awful life up to now. Didn't even know what a treat was! Its so good to know he's with you now and that you only have his best interests at heart. I'll be waiting eagerly for each new video to see how he's getting along.

I must say I totally respect ur professionalism when dealing with Oliver's previous owners.
It must have been hard..but he had to get Oliver out of there and if that owner had been peed off with jr then they wouldn't have been able to bring him away from that godawful place.. I used to go out and collect cats that people said they couldn't cope with anymore..well some of the 💩 holes I went in and the condition of the cats were diabolical..but I had to smile and be polite to get those cats out of there to safety.. then once in my car I could breathe out ..when we couldn't get all of the cats because they wanted to keep certain ones i tried convincing them..if that didn't work then we took what we could and give them a ring weekly to check up..otherwise we had friends who work for RSPCA and Cats Protection.. they used to then follow up and confiscate the cat..obviously only if the house wasn't suitable or the cat was ill or at risk.
So you have to be nice to get the animal..then you can alert authorities..just like Oliver's case..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👍👏👏🐎🐾🐾🐈
He's starting to think that he died and went to heaven...The look of sadness and rejection is disappearing from his face....

A memory, your daughter will never forget or yourself what better way to bond with your daughter than over a horse someday if you keep him and if he comes your forever project shipping the grand children to ride him . Somethings are forever projects that we fall in love with God’s blessings.

Very Sad - Your the only voice these POOR Horses have
An animal does not need to have a job to feel fulfillment. Their purpose is not to serve you. The weren't created for you. Wild horses are happiest with no human contact. The most caring horse rescue I have seen was when a guy refused to ride his horse. His horse's love towards this man is the greatest bond I have seen in a horse and a person.
I’m so glad that you were able to get to him so fast. Praying for good news from the vet and he turns around quickly. It makes me sick to think about all of the horses in bad situations. I wish that we could save them all.

I am catching up on your past videos and was shocked to see the conditions that poor Oliver was living in. Of course I’ve witnessed dogs and cats being in horrible conditions and hate that. Somehow you don’t incision it with horses, but evidently I was naive. Thanks for rescuing young, gorgeous Oliver💕

My heart is so full, right now. Glad that Oliver is home, and his recovery begins; desolate that all those other horses have to endure that abuse, even to the point of the mare who suffered to her last breath. Even though we cannot know God's plans, I know that His eye sees all. If He meant for you to rescue even one other horse on that day, your heart would have seen that. If your clarion calls attention to the other horses, it will be for others to act as His instrument, on their behalf.
I will continue to pray for Oliver's recovery, and for the Rosa family and farm.

I was raised in a large town in England, living near the docks. Merchant ships arrived daily, the only horses I ever saw, were draught horses, pulling loaded carts to the docks. This was in the 40s, during the second world war. I tried to stroke a horse when I was 7, it tried to bite me. I've been scared of horses ever since. I have however, always seen them as beautiful animals. I've just found your channel, and find your story about Oliver, sad, and very touching. I will follow Oliver's journey, hoping he makes a full revovery.Thank you for what you do.
Rewatching this video in Dec '23. 10 months later and hindsight just confirms how lucky Oliver was that he caught your eye at the auction. It has been an absolute journey over the last year to get Oliver healthy. Loved every step of the TH-cam journey.
