    In today's video, I wanted to share my tips for getting the most natural looking application with root touch up sprays and powders. This is how I cover up my grey root regrowth in between permanent coloring, hopefully this method will also work for you!
    I used to apply in one spot, pretty heavily to get full grey coverage, but is always ended up looking a bit heavy and was obvious I had product in my hair. This new routine lets me be much more flexible and I think looks natural.
    Let me know what you think!

    I spent a small fortune on rubbish hair dyes, henna, temporary hair sprays etc to cover grey roots on my thick Afro hair. Even used mascara as an emergency root touch up! Keratin KATIVA kit restored my very damaged, thick Afro hair and henna wax. Ladies, protect your hair! Waste of money, but live and learn! Uk

    I have been looking for a grey-hair coverage powder formulation for in-between colorings and I am definitely trying the products you suggested. You've never steered me wrong, Molly! Also, you are looking gorgeous as always xoxo.

    I don't need it just yet but this is a technique I will def try bc the result is so becoming! Ppl rock white & silver but it's great to be able to cover gray this way. If others decide to wear gray… you do you, but for me… this look is soft & naturally beautiful. Thank you❣️ 🧡 💛

    I just wanna say thank you for sharing this
    As I got greys in really young age, I feel insecure about it a lot, and going for root touch ups every other month is not practical let’s be real. My hair color is almost light brown (colored) and my real hair color is black and when roots starts to show up, I become tricolor 😢 I hate it. But you gave me confidence actually now I feel less stressful about it
    Lots of love from India ✨🎈

    Wow! Going to try this! My salon charges $75 (with tip $90). I usually need to go every 6 weeks but usually stretch it out to 8 bc of the price. This is so needed for my wallet!!

    Brilliant. I bought a similar powder from Amazon. The iherb one didn’t have dark or even medium brown. The one I ordered from Amazon had like 12 shades. I hope it works as well. The reviews were good.

    Love this video! I've been using WOW powder between my coloring appointments. My hair color is very similar to yours. You mentioned you color your hair yourself. Would you mind sharing your formula? I get mine done at the salon every 4 weeks @ $110 each time. It would be nice to do it myself. I've had bad luck in the past with any box color. The shades are generally off somehow. Thank you kindly❤

    I’m 50 now. I am 2 years 9 months into growing my natural silver. I am thrilled with the results! A lady stopped me in the grocery store last night to tell me how gorgeous it was. She was shocked it was natural.
    Going natural has been one of my best decisions. I still keep a longer younger style and keep up my skin care. Silver doesn’t mean old!
    I see ladies in their 70s/80s with dark hair and think they look ridiculous. They still look old. It’s not the hair. :)

    • @girlgetglamorous
      @girlgetglamorous  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think a lot of hair colors are about personal preference/self-expression and not people trying to look younger. I think that might be a common misperception with hair color and makeup. I look at it all as a form of art, that is meant to be enjoyed!

    • @CreamyJalapeno
      @CreamyJalapeno ปีที่แล้ว

      @@girlgetglamorous yes it definitely is for some. I am in a few “going gray” groups and the vast majority are terrified of looking old. My natural color has so much dimension now…more than I ever got from the salon. I got tired of going in every three weeks and dealing with unreliable stylists.
      I’m not saying everyone needs to go silver. But we do need to normalize it. Either women don’t want to look old, or they are scared of what family and friends will say. I’ve seen some horrible comments people get from those closest to them. I bet my mom would have something negative to say if she were still alive. My grandmother was dark brown until she died at 84. It was a huge no-no!
      Regarding touch up sprays and powders: I have used a silver Colorista spray on my part at times to make my hair look thicker

    Do you recommend another powder that has similar sponges applicator?

    Wish we redheads had more root touch up color options! I purchased a makeup sponge to use with the Clairol powder touch up because it allows you to just dab in those areas needed to cover those pesky grays! The brush that comes with it is useless.

      Hi! My favorite is the Christophe Robin in Chic Copper, you can use code: MOLLY25 for 25% off | go.shopmy.us/p-728285
      I also like the Kera color conditioner in Copper, although it leans more reddish, vs the Strawberry Blonde of the CR. I use both! | amzn.to/3gQtvWg

      @@girlgetglamorous Thank you so much! I will try the CR next! I actually bought Color Lux in copper from Sally’s. The color is ok but leaning too red. Haven’t washed yet so I can’t speak on it’s staying power but I understand red is hard to get rid of….I don’t know who would want to!!🤣 👩🏻‍🦰

    Thx for sharing. But lets be honest: why are we doing this to us? Everyone gets grey hair. That’s life. I get rid of this grey hairline: full balayage was the first step, then less balayage, and at the end no more coloring and cutting the end of the colored hair off. Now it looks like i have grey highlights. With washed hair it looks good and natural. Have more courage! ❤

    • @girlgetglamorous
      @girlgetglamorous  ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Hi! Thank you for watching, however, I do think choosing your hair color has more to do with personal preference and self-expression and is not about "courage." Wanting to have and maintain a certain hair color is something people should be able to choose for themselves without any shaming. I hope this makes sense!
