1,2,3. My mom also had a button can that we played with as children. Even as a adult, when I would visit her, I would dig through it to see if she added anything new. She passed away 8 yrs ago the only thing all of us siblings wanted was her button can. ❤ So glad you are feeling better and that quilt is stunning.

Thank you for your motivation and encouragement in all your Flosstube videos. I have never been able to stick to a schedule for anything in my whole life until now where I have stitched for 26 nights in a row the WIP’s that I have designated in my planner ❤ I’ve also found having multiple projects keeps me stitching as it’s exciting seeing multiple projects come to life.

Nichol, Very glad you are doing so much better and hope you fully recover very quickly. I am continually amazed at how much you accomplish even when you are not feeling well. Your finished quilt is just beautiful. I am working on a 52 x 65" Halloween quilt called 'Hocus Pocus' designed by Margo Languedoc put out by the Pattern Basket. The very pretty [and not at all scary] fabric is by Moda called 'Hallow's Eve'. I bought the kit about 3 years ago but had to put it aside because we moved across country and since then my husband has been in and out of the hospital. I finally started it recently and have all 20 of the black, gray, and orange pumpkin bodies finished and am ready to do the leaves and stems. Like you, I always have many projects going at the same time and I finish them as I can! Blessings.
I’ve enjoyed spending Sunday night watching you. First stamping then this Flosstube. You have inspired me to start xstitch and finish a quilt that I hadn’t touched in several years. The button box got me right in the feels ❤ My mom had a button box for us kids, and my kids, nieces & nephews played with them as well. Always makes me smile even though she's been gone 20 years in November. Buttons always make me remember her.
I inherited my mom’s and grandma’s button tins. Also have a slew of trims and vintage zippers from when they used to deconstruct clothing and use the fabric for other things.

#1, #2, #3. Hi Nichol, I was so excited to see your Flosstube 18 this morning and stopped everything to watch! I would love to be considered for your wonderful give-aways! I have kitted up several counted cross stitch patterns and barely started on them. You did inspire me to get it all out again and introduced me to Fat Quarter Shop where I have gotten a bunch of things! I am also a card maker and have followed Stamptember must to the dismay of my Visa!!! My orders are slowly coming in and, of course, I have Reserve items so have to wait longer. I am making Halloween cards based on the cute pumpkin with the witch hat for my grandchildren and am also making bookmarks for the 2nd graders that I help with reading skills!! Thanks for introducing me to Shannon Christine’s patterns! I absolutely love them! I had fallen out of Cross stitch and knitting when I got more into Cricut and card making. I started stitching on cards recently and started knitting again. That old fashioned pattern has pulled me back in to Cross stitch! I ordered it and all is calm. I also wanted baking spirits bright but there is no way I’ll finish all three. Lol

I had to laugh when I saw the thumbnail for this video (and I realize I'm a little late to the party) --- I immediately recognized the quilt behind you because it was how I became introduced to you as a creative designer! So the back story is: I am primarily a quilter and decided to decorate in Red & White for Christmas 2022. One of the projects I picked for that was Fat Quarter Shop's "Jelly snowflake". I loved all the different color variations everyone did for it but the two that caught my eye (given my priorities at the time) was one made by the FQS staff (Red, White and Grey) and yours in Red, White, Grey and Pink. Since I already had a red and Grey quilt in the works, I thought yours was a great twist on that. In the end, I did a further twist in that where you used pink, I wound up using Strawberry Reds. My quilt didn't get "fully finished' until after the New Year but it hung in my home until recently (time for the RWB swap outs)! I had learned through the FQS SAL posts -- which linked to your Instagram -- that you are primarily a paper crafter and card maker so imagine my surprise when this month I discovered you had Floss Tube videos! Perfect because I had also started cross stitching last year (definitely influenced by FQS and Pat Sloan and then viewing of a range of Floss Tubes in general). So I've watched a bunch of your Floss tubes over the last week or so and as I said when I started this (I know, too long) comment, saw this one pop up and had to put it on the "Watch Later" list. I'm enjoying the ride and I guess I can say I am now officially sucked into the CS world!!

Great WIP parade. You could approach the WIPS like low-hanging fruit ... work first on the ones with the least stitching left to do, and work your way up to those that need lots of time to be finished.

I have been collecting buttons for years; I like to keep my in jars, I have different sewing gadgets from my Mom and her sewing days. I love all your fabrics and the way you have it arranged is beautiful. 1, 2.

#1, #2, #3. Hi Nichol, I was so excited to see your Flosstube 18 this morning and stopped everything to watch! I would love to be considered for your wonderful give-aways! I have kitted up several counted cross stitch patterns and barely started on them. You did inspire me to get it all out again and introduced me to Fat Quarter Shop where I have gotten a bunch of things! I am also a card maker and have followed Stamptember must to the dismay of my Visa!!! My orders are slowly coming in and, of course, I have Reserve items so have to wait longer. I am making Halloween cards based on the cute pumpkin with the witch hat for my grandchildren and am also making bookmarks for the 2nd graders that I help with reading skills!! Thanks for introducing me to Shannon Christine’s patterns! I absolutely love them! I had fallen out of Cross stitch and knitting when I got more into Cricut and card making. I started stitching on cards recently and started knitting again. That old fashioned pattern has pulled me back in to Cross stitch! I ordered it and all is calm. I also wanted baking spirits bright but there is no way I’ll finish all three. Lol

Your production of videos for September was beyond impressive. So many beautifully designed cards - wow! I have purchased so many patterns for fall and winter. Hope I can get lots completed. I had to laugh when I saw the thumbnail for this video (and I realize I'm a little late to the party) --- I immediately recognized the quilt behind you because it was how I became introduced to you as a creative designer!
So the back story is: I am primarily a quilter and decided to decorate in Red & White for Christmas 2022. One of the projects I picked for that was Fat Quarter Shop's "Jelly snowflake". I loved all the different color variations everyone did for it but the two that caught my eye (given my priorities at the time) was one made by the FQS staff (Red, White and Grey) and yours in Red, White, Grey and Pink. Since I already had a red and Grey quilt in the works, I thought yours was a great twist on that. In the end, I did a further twist in that where you used pink, I wound up using Strawberry Reds. My quilt didn't get "fully finished' until after the New Year but it hung in my home until recently (time for the RWB swap outs)!
I had learned through the FQS SAL posts -- which linked to your Instagram -- that you are primarily a paper crafter and card maker so imagine my surprise when this month I discovered you had Floss Tube videos! Perfect because I had also started cross stitching last year (definitely influenced by FQS and Pat Sloan and then viewing of a range of Floss Tubes in general). So I've watched a bunch of your Floss tubes over the last week or so and as I said when I started this (I know, too long) comment, saw this one pop up and had to put it on the "Watch Later" list. I'm enjoying the ride and I guess I can say I am now officially sucked into the CS world!!

Great WIP parade. You could approach the WIPS like low-hanging fruit ... work first on the ones with the least stitching left to do, and work your way up to those that need lots of time to be finished.
