Nichol, So enjoyed this video--you really make me smile as you spread so much joy. I love Christmas. We moved 2 years ago from a large house in SC where we lived for for15 years. I decorated about 10 Christmas trees [1 tree in almost every common room--living room, family room, library, dining room, etc.]. My mother lived with my husband and me for 18 years after my dad died and her rooms were upstairs. She had had a stroke in 2009 and did not try to walk downstairs very often but every year during her later years when I finished decorating the whole house I would lead her downstairs and show her each tree and each room all decorated. She would light up in delight like a child as she took in each room and all the decorations some of which had been in our home as I was growing up. That memory of sharing Christmas decorations with her is why Christmas decorating is my favorite thing.

I am an Aida stitcher and love stash fabric. My favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving is my grandmother’s corn bread dressing which I have been making for years. My favorite Christmas tradition is my grandchildren taking turns reading the Luke 2 birth of Christ and then we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus with cake and candles before we open gifts. So sweet and special. Each grandchild really looks forward to their turn each year. Love love love the holidays! 1 2 3 4 5 6 7. Thank you so much Nichol for a wonderful flosstube. I look so forward to each and every one.

I love your positivity! And, kudos to you and your ex for getting together for holidays, etc with the kids! Everyone truly benefits in the long run when that can occur. And, it's work to get to that place. I'm heading to my ex's place for Thanksgiving this year, and we usually are at his sister's every year. Our kid is 23 and I know he appreciates having his entire family together for a lot of family events. Even when our son was in school, many didn't even know we were divorced because we volunteered together for track, running the long jump pit for years, and stood together during soccer matches. Family first, and all that it entails...we chose our friends, not our family. :-)

Thank you so much for sharing your life with us! I always enjoy your videos 🥰. As far as holidays, I don't really have a favorite. I guess it's because my holiday dinners have changed a lot over the years/phases of life. One year I was deployed and somehow they brought in steak and lobster! Not the best I'd ever had but MAN what a treat to have something different than the typical chow hall food 😊. My favorite part of the holidays is watching the kids with their excitement. We read the book of Luke every year and the kids get excited as they remember more and more on their own 🥰. 1, 4

Just recently found your channel and I enjoy your flosstube videos! My favorite tradition is hosting both my family and my husband's family for Thanksgiving at our house. It is a ton of work, but we'll worth the effort. I also enjoy making and eating my great grandmother's recipe for homemade egg noodles. It's like she is there with me each time I make them. Thank you so much for all you do! Your old fashioned hot Cocoa piece is beautiful! 1, 2, 3, 5.

1 Happy happy birthday! 🎊🎁🎂 Have an amazing week!
2 I’m so excited to see the Old Fashioned FFO. 😊 I’m also feeling it with Autumn Love. I’ve decided to start stitching it in spring, because it’s so colorful, I’m sure I’ll love it. 💗
3 My all time favorite Thanksgiving treat is pumpkin pie. I didn’t like it when I was little but it was a reason to eat whipped cream. 😂 Now I love it. 🥧🥧🥧
4 Christmas has changed so much through the years. Last year we started playing family games in the afternoon with everyone, and it’s a new favorite for us all. ❤ Also, I’m a gingerbread girl. I love when we have time to make houses. 🤗

Just found your channel and love it. I’m new to finishing so definitely going back to watch those and looking forward to your future ones. I stitched in the 60’s, switched to quilting and having to pick one craft for retirement, I chose quilting. Well, last year my youngest sister got me back to stitching and discovering how much everything has changed…I am now doing both quilting and stitching. I would love to be the recipient of 1 and/or 4. My first chart was a birthday gift from said sister done on linen. No pressure. Finished it and it is beautiful. However, being 80, I prefer to stitch on Aida because I can stitch faster and, like every stitcher, I have too many charts and quilts to finish and not the abundance of free time I was planning on in retirement. See you next video…I’m hooked.

I make ham with brown sugar, honey and pecan glaze. My kids fight over the left overs which makes my heart happy. My granddaughter is getting into cross stitching big time and I’m starting her on Aida for now so I’d love 1, 2, 3, 4. I cannot wait to see what Chantelle and you have come up with for the Old Fashioned finish! I’m counting down the days when I get my cast off and can do all the things again. Make good choices, haha. Hugs and blessings, see you at the SAL on Tuesday.

I laughed when you almost said, “Make good choices.” I would always say that to my son when he went off to school. One of my favorite Thanksgiving sides is a creamed onions dish. We usually had an adult table and a kids table. Most of us were in our late 20s still sitting at the kids table. No one wanted the creamed onions dish, so usually it just stayed wherever it was originally placed on the thanksgiving table. Because we didn’t want to offend the elderly relative you always made two dishes (one for the adult and one for the kids) we always “messed it up a bit” so she thought we ate some. Years later, it was my (now) husband’s first thanksgiving dinner with the family. He asked about the dish that no one was passing. We all kind of looked at each other and half laughed as we passed it to him. He liked it (hey Mikey, he liked it). Now more than 20 years later, we all love creamed onions. 6, 7

    3. I also love singing Silent Night at the Candle light Service at Church. Unfortunately, our Church doesn't do it any longer but I will always cherish the memories.

Oh you have a horizon I want one so bad. Have small janome, a ancient bernina and a juki f600 which I do like for quilting. A little bigger throat. Thank you taking the time to answer. I appreciate that. Blessings, Pea

OMG I am also having FOMO about the autumn love pattern! It's on my wish list at FQS, but trying to wait for the PDF to come out (I'm in Canada, so I like the PDFs when I can). I told you on your live last week that I received a payment notification for Big City... It wasn't Big City, it was my month-to-month Let's ride a bike series. Didn't read it til the next day 🤦‍♀. Oops, sorry about that! Thanks for the videos - I enjoy unwinding and watching them as I either cross stitch or make cards. See you Tuesday!

I come from a musical family and we always would listen to my mom play the guitar and sing. My brothers play guitar and I would play my uncle’s albums. I still have the album that my uncle signed for me! My uncle was killed by a drunk driver when he was 33 years old that was probably 50 years ago, he was on his way to becoming a star his voice was very similar to Elvis Presley. He was my favorite uncle! 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and I use only Aida so it doesn’t matter the count 😊
