Mr Voorhorst, you are the most underrated guitarist in the world. You are just as good as all the other big names in classical guitar. I have your recordings of the Bach Flute Partitas and they are absolutely brilliant, as is the rest of the CD. Thank you!
Allemachting Enno, alles wat ik van je heb gehoord klinkt bovennatuurlijk mooi...absolute wereldklasse, met absoluut de mooiste 'feel' die ik ooit bij de meesters der klassiek gitaar heb gehoord...
Not only is this a beautiful piece of music, but Mr. Voorhorsts rendition is an excellent example of the minimum movement principle as applied to both the left and right hands. Mr. Voorhorst is, indeed, a very fine guitarist and I can recommend his CDs which offer muchbeautiful music
Dear Areg, it was a Ramirez 1963. Recently I obtained a Simplicio 1927 copy, beautifully made by Federico Sheappard. It was the guitar that Barrios played. This is my favourite now! Best wishes, Enno Voorhorst
Enno, you are the best classical gitarist I have ever seen and heard, you have inspired me to start playing classical again, put my Gibson Les Paul aside for now and take out my Jose Ramirez 1976 model! Requerdos here I come!
My favourite performance and piece of classical guitar at the moment! Fabulous arrangement and interpretation Enno. I have sent fot the Cd!! Frankmccoy
Dear Alicia, my teacher was Hein Sanderink and he studied with Ida Presti and Alexandre Lagoya, I love their duo playing! Recently I've read the biography of Ida Presti by her daughter Elisabeth and Anne Marillia, Her life, her art. She was an exeptional woman and I'm sorry that I've never met her.
O.M.G. Did i hear what i've just heard? this guy is absolute world class.. i love Scott Tennant and i thought, shurely he must be the best in the world..not anymore..i now think, this guy here, is...What a supreme artist and player..in a video over 6 minutes long, he played a very diffucult piece without putting a foot, (well, a finger) wrong..every note was played with sublime artistry...very, very impressed..well done..best regards..Sergio
the interpretation of Mr. Voorhorst is sublime in this piece where the style is authentic and the interpretation genius surpasses all refinement in the aesthetic one of the art of the guitar.
Golly gosh, what an unexpected pleasure to find you playing the Handel here. I have your CD of this and think its rather fabulous (loved the Telemann). Wonderful.
I'm steel watching this video and always I'm totally impressed and amazed. No words. There is no guitar piece, that I so love as this one. Sincere thanks for this arrangement Mr Voorhorst and for the scores / notes from September 2010. On the 18th of January 2011 I'll be playing this during my exam in secondary music school :)
Absolutely captivating! - magnificent , a huge pleasure to listen to. I could go on...! Thank you very much indeed for sharing your wonderful performance! Respect and best wishes, Maria
Brilliant transcription and performance. I'm working on a transcription of this piece, along with a couple of other Händel keyboard pieces, for two electric guitars. Should be interesting...
@segoavi Dear Maestro Enno, very extraordinary interpretation, I love this clear, beautiful, powerful, sound . Haendel’s Ciaccona is one of mine preferred song. I’m amateur guitarist, but I would want to try to play this piece. This transcription is it available? Thank you in advance for replying. Aldo
Absolutely fabulous performance! That's a Ramirez 1a isn't it? What year? You know there's a lot of criticism of these guitars, but hearing a sound like this from one makes the critics seem very silly. Of course, you have to know how to play a Ramirez or you just won't get its full sound!! ;)
Hey Mr Enno, first of all, congratulations on your performance, that's not only a great arrangement but also beautiful playing. I was wondering if there's any sheet music available on the market. If yes, could you please send me the link. Thanks for your attention and have a nice week. Regards, Gustavo Beroth.
Dear Enno, this is a superb work indeed. Thank you for uploading both prats of it. I read from some of the comments below that you were working on publishing this transcription about 9 months ago. Is it available now? I know this will be a major job to learn but worth to do it. Thank you in advance for replying. Miloslav.
I was impressed also - some of it very much reminds me of the Presti/Lagoya duo version, as Antony (Gitanoz) says - particularly the slow variation at the beginning of your part 2, and of course the trills and the really lovely sound you get. I am curious if you feel a strong influence from Ida Presti. Bravo and Best wishes, Alice Artzt
+segoavi You really took it out in the snow! :-) Sounds really nice, I don't hear so much the typical Ramirez sound, sounds rather a bit Hauseresque. Very well arranged and played.
Wonderful arrangement (I especially like that barre is only used when it is absolutely necessary), Handel suits the guitar really well. Is it a Ramirez guitar? I like the top of it, what wood is it made from? Do you use soft strings, or is it you who make it sound so soft? Sorry, too many questions, respect, Gergely
Dear Enno, this is one of the most magnificent and clear performances that I have seen. Thoroughly enjoyed it. By the way, what kind of guitar are you using? It sounds absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. Areg
Dear Miloslav, it seems quiet hard to get this music published. If you mail me using my site I'll send you a copy for your own use. Best wishes, Enno Voorhorst.
John Williams can play some pieces very well but yes its a shame that players like this are not as well known... David Russell also should be better known... few though have the depth and range od Bream

Jesus that guitar sounds like heaven. Enno you did such an amazing job, it's excellent. Magnificent, brilliant.
Enno, what a magnificent surprise! Thank you for doing what you are doing. Your sound is unique, soothing, clear, musical, beautiful.
Allemachting Enno, alles wat ik van je heb gehoord klinkt bovennatuurlijk mooi...absolute wereldklasse, met absoluut de mooiste 'feel' die ik ooit bij de meesters der klassiek gitaar heb gehoord...
beautiful lines, perfect baroque technique. This is how we all want to sound playing the guitar.
words cant express this kind of brilliance and beauty. Bravo Enno...

Wat een schitterende uitvoering, elke toon kristalhelder en subtiel gespeeld zonder zich te verliezen in stijlbrekend gemijmer: Mijn complimenten!
Dear Areg, it was a Ramirez 1963. Recently I obtained a Simplicio 1927 copy, beautifully made by Federico Sheappard. It was the guitar that Barrios played. This is my favourite now!
Best wishes,

I am speechless !
Could not be better played like this!

Hi Gergely, It is indeed a Ramirez guitar 1963 with a pine top. I use normal tension D'addario strings..
Gorgeous Solo!!!!
Thank you for the inspiration ;)!
@Y2H This is a Ramirez with the initials of FM (felix manzanero) from 1963. No model name was used by then.
This man is a fucking GOD!!
Superbe interprétation!
D'addario Carbon Composite? Beautiful playing by the way! I have your Barrios CD and I look forward to purchasing this one as well!
*¡¡MAESTRO!!*

Yes it is a good guitar, made in 1963...
+segoavi You really took it out in the snow! :-) Sounds really nice, I don't hear so much the typical Ramirez sound, sounds rather a bit Hauseresque. Very well arranged and played.
Well arranged is an understatement. This guy is Godlike.

Hi Enno, I found this performance of this piece wonderful.Where might I find this arrangement?
You will have to e-mail him on his website. ;)
BTW: it's a pretty damned hard transcription to play.
Where can I get the music sheet arrangement?
Great version! Even my uncle Lagoya would appreciate your version compared to the duo version that he did with Ida Presti.
he crushed that
Dear Miloslav, it seems quiet hard to get this music published. If you mail me using my site I'll send you a copy for your own use. Best wishes, Enno Voorhorst.
