He seems like the best candidate so far. Beto has kinda dived in my opinion. He lost to Cruz who is kind of unpopular and lost to trump convincingly in the primaries. Just because the wall is a dumb idea, having an open border policy isn’t correct either. Mayor Pete seems rational. I think being openly gay and young might be good for the identity political crowd, and having common sense views on policy and stuff should appeal to the undecided.
Sloppy Toons He Lost 2 Ted Cruz in a Republican Solid State by only 2 points you Clown .. He didn't lose 2 Trump .. if anything Trump lost 2 Ted Cruz by 20 points in 2016 Texas primary .. Beto Will Crush Nazi Trump Nation Wide in 2020 😎🇺🇸
Well, a point in favor of Beto, he lost to Cruz by only 2 points in a state where Hillary lost to Trump by 8 points and Obama lost to Romney by 16 points. That said, Buttigieg's resume so far is just better overall, with things like being a Harvard graduate and military service being firm points in his favor. His views on policy so far seem good, but he hasn't quite gotten into the nuts and bolts yet.
Julian Birch in Mayor Pete’s defence neither has Trump gotten to thenjts and bolts of his policies and he is almost 3 years in as president. Though I agree that Texas is a red state, Houston and especially Austin are proving otherwise, and the feeling from a far I’m getting is that it’s getting more progressive, also if CNN and other non Fox channels are to be believed he was super unpopular. So to me losing to Cruz is still a big deal especially since he was openly supported by Trump this time who should be unpopular. Also when he held that rally when Trump was in his hometown his crowd was really small and his speech was not very clear, and just opposite to Trump for the sake of being opposite, and kind of lost me. He wanted to take down the fence and literally have an open walk in and out border. You need border control. A wall might be a stupid idea, but you should have border control.
@@sloppynyuszi That's also a point against Beto. He can get a little overblown in his rhetoric a times, which muddies his message and throws off a lot of people that might have otherwise supported him. As someone who lives in Texas (and not in the hippie shareville portion of the state) I think he did a great thing in reaching out to the places in the state that haven't seen any statewide or national candidate in DECADES. We need more of that at the national level. And it's true that while very few people seem to actually, genuinely LIKE Ted Cruz, a lot of Texans have been conditioned to pull the red lever regardless of who's at the top of the ticket because they don't want godless commies running the show, raising their taxes, stealing their guns, and letting the illegals in to take their jobs and murder their babies. I think Pete combines some very important qualities that voters are looking for in this election (I am going to watch the video and see if our illustrious host will agree with me) x- Is a newcomer to mainstream politics x- Doesn't have any big controversies to his name x- Friendly to progressives x- Neither too young nor too old to serve He also has some big extra bonus factors which may help him win swing voters once past the Primary stage: x- Is a veteran x- Would be the first LGBT president x- Has a memorable name and style x- Is a genuinely nice guy Compare this to other major candidates. Elizabeth Warren has unfortunately become stained with scandal due to mishandling the Native American DNA business and Biden is struggling with his treatment of women - Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden are both rather long in the tooth, and voters may be worried about electing another elder-statesman to supreme office - Beto O'Rourke has burned his Progressive-friendly street cred with a pro-Conservative voting history. Now, don't get me wrong, if Pete loses and one of these other major candidates beats him, I think Democrats would be well-advised to vote for them anyway - unseating Trump HAS to be the name of the game if Americans are to have decent healthcare and an environment that's not simultaneously choked with pollution and trapped in a runaway greenhouse effect.
Beto Will Crush Nazi Trump Nation Wide in 2020 😎🇺🇸
Bernie is the front runner
Mayor Pete may not manage to reach these people, but he's likely to have a better chance at it than just about every other candidate in the field.

x- Is a veteran
x- Would be the first LGBT president
x- Has a memorable name and style
x- Is a genuinely nice guy
Compare this to other major candidates.
This guy is so unknown his mother doesn't even know who he is.
Wow a Democrat that isn't a lost cause
Color me surprised
Where are the policy positions? And saying that the Democrats agree on policy at the end. How do you have a job Chris?
Ooooh! A candidate that speaks 7 lenaguages as opposed to one who claims his catalogue bought bride speaks 5??? 10 POINTS!!!! (I challenge anyone to show me evidence she speaks anything but Slovenian. I'll be impressed if she speaks German. Austria is a neighboring country. But she doesn't speak English, italian or French. That we have video proof of.)
Butt itches
He seems very damn promising.
Jodi Lynn So... what policy positions does he hold that make you like him?
Heterosexual men won't vote for homosexual president.
If Bernie doesn't win, I would be happy with a smart, experienced, and articulate candidate like Buttigieg.
