Til you realize the shady meetings he's been having with the establishment corporate centrist democrats about how to screw over Bernie Sanders. I did NOT see that coming from this dude and I'm shocked that he fooled me man. They need to stop attacking Bernie and seeing him as some "problem" and let the damn primary play out with no shenanigans this time or ppl will be PISSED.

Seeing a lot of people claiming Buttigieg is some sort of corporate shill based on...what? I've yet to see any source that claims any of these theories. Until such a time that those sources are given, the lot of you just seem to be antagonistic towards the guy because he's not Bernie Sanders; who also doesn't actually have any plan to get any of his polices through Congress aside from brute force, which has never worked, ever.

      What's his message?

    • @ClarenceC101762
      @ClarenceC101762 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

To me, his message is that there is more that brings us together as Americans than could ever divide us; that freedom doesn’t just mean freedom from things (like freedom from paying your fair share of taxes, freedom from regulation on businesses that serve the public, freedom from sensible regulation of firearms, freedom from government regulation of church matters, etc.), it means freedom to...ti love who you love and have the government respect your legal bond, freedom to fight for your country no matter your sexual orientation and/or gender identity, freedom to have nothing to do with any religion if that’s what works for you, freedom to expect your government is doing all it can to save our environment, freedom to expect that a person working a full-time job doesn’t have to be part of the “working poor”.
He lives everyday his message that religion doesn’t have to be used to cut and hurt people who don’t believe just like you. He makes his message loud and crystal clear that his generation may wind up being the first generation to not have done better than the generation before him. His message includes the fact that it’s never too early or too late to do the right thing for the generation of Americans that we may never see or know ourselves. And maybe the most important message is about how deadly apathy can be.
His messages are striking a chord with lots of Americans who prefer to look forward to find solutions to our problems instead of harking back to and constantly yearning for the dead-and-gone bad old days that were never really all that good anyway, unless you were the correct gender, had the socially-acceptable color of skin and you were romantically attracted to the opposite gender.
Not much to miss from those days, IMHO.
At least those are the messages I get from him when I listen to him and read about him.
      Your results may differ. 😉

It will be a nice read if I could find complete copy of the essay about Bernie Sanders. Very interesting

Seth? I love you but you can do better than that. This interview didn't do Pete justice. He's got way more to offer, he's intelligent, experienced, and honest. I read a lot of comments where people are saying he's full of platitudes, or inexperienced, don't judge him by this interview. Watch his other interviews, hear him speak. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine this would be my candidate but he is for many good reasons. Do your research people please. He can win this.

He is being propped up by the msm for good reason....bcuz they know that he will play ball and pretend to want progressive change, but will not fight for it the way Bernie or Tulsi would. Pete B takes big $ from Goldman Sachs bundlers.

The Parks and Rec reference made me realize that Mayor Pete is basically a gay, male Leslie Knope with an Ivy League education and military experience.

Bernie and Pete, what a combo. Wisdom experience, all that Bernie brings and youth, sexual diversity, intelligence and openness from both of them.

Not one policy-related question. Just focus on these cute little stories and ignore the fact he's a corporate sellout just like the rest of the establishment candidates.

Why did Seth try to corner Bernie Sanders with «how are you going to pay for it», when he doesn’t ask Pete about any policies?

I have watched few of his interviews, and haven’t heard anything on his policies. It seems Americans are easily fascinated by charm and do not really care about actual policy positions. Sigh!
Many have commented he is a breath of fresh air. He seems to be air, nothing concrete.

mju34 , isn’t that a matter of concern that people don’t seem critical? Btw, do you know where he stands on policies? I for one haven’t heard anything concrete regarding his policies.
