Your probably romnichal and if you are your people don’t even really speak romaness I’ve been around hundreds of romnichals and none of them really speak romaness and the few words they say are are not right for example the word for money is lovay and there word is wonga
@@gypsyjoanertv3906 if you’re here to invalidate me then I’ll tell you I think that’s common knowledge. Because the language is so secretive and so scattered it obviously wasn’t completely passed on. But if you’re here to actually compare notes then I’ll tell you that we say vonger with a V there. None of us have ever seen any of the words written down, and there’s no grammar whatsoever. For example we say shun for hear, and we will say I shunned that or I’m shunning that. We’ve got no pronouns or articles and we use a lot of approximated phrases to describe things. I don't know if this is a coincidence or relevance but 'Trusul' as a word i.e a cross, could be very similar to 'Trishul' in Hindi, Gujrati, Marwadi and etc. Which is a weapon in Indian mythology held by Lord Shiva and many other gods and goddesses. 'Tri' means three, Trishul is a weapon with 3 pikes on it. Since the cross looks pretty much like a Trishul they started calling it as Trushul?

Flamenco originated because of the Christian oppression of the Muslim Andalusians, it was an Arabic word for an oppressed farmer "Fallah Menkoub" which later on became Fla menco through the centuries.
Christian oppression? You mean when islam came to india and took over slaved us killed us ! We gypsies became a homeless race of ppl bcuz islam ! .. now the acaint arabic music is sound similar to flamenco its not the same just similar so as the acaint indian music sounds much more similar to flamenco music.. it came from acaint india . After islam came in not only took over they adopted our music as well . Get your facts right .. flamenco music dance was inspired by gypsies.. .theres no question about it ...

Hello GypsyKid and dad. I'm a Gypsy in Florida. My great grandfather was Nelson Smith and there are Maces, Smalls, and Boswells in my family. My grandfather doesn't believe in telling people about our language and he doesn't trust even us with a lot of things. It's good to see you keeping Romaness alive. Kushter bak.
I am blind, but I know that my family has darker skin and my mom says that they have certain features that are specific to Romanichels.
My grandpa is the full Romney Of the family and I don’t know how much he doesn’t know and how much he just won’t/hasn’t told us. That’s why I haven’t really studied the language much, because I don’t know if it would really be the same thing as what he knows. Most of my first generation Romanichel relatives have either died or are dead to my grandpa for one reason or another.
It’s really interesting though and strange that you felt the need to argue with how I identify. It’s not like I would gain anything from posing as my particular race, I just don’t want our culture to die out as each generation knows a little bit less about it and my uncles not teaching his kids about it at all.
@@mozzarellakrunccy5655 I’m not tryin to argue with you I was just saying that romnichals don’t really speak romaness I’ve worked with a bunch of them and they don’t understand almost anything in romaness and the language is not that secretive how do almost all real gypsys speak the language but the romnichals don’t and I’m not trying to invalidate you either calm down I didn’t say anything that serious and I forgot to say how tf are you reading this and watching the video if your blind and wtf does that have to do with anything
I lost most of my words, my Anneanne still speaks sometimes but we all need this. Thank u so very much!!!!
Are you Turkish? Anneanne is a Turkish word for grandmother so I was wondering if Romani use it as a loanword?
Love from India ❤️
This is why TH-cam should exist.
I am gypsy, and when he talked I could’ve understand what he says, but when he started with separate words i didn’t know those words.
I’m Romani I come from the tribe of kalderash trushal means truth cross with a number 3 trinity which is also all 1 so when we say trushal it also represents holy trinity truth cross it’s hard to explain because there is not enough Romani ppl to explain information about are language
Just found out that North West Indians around 1000-2000 years ago travelled to Europe which are now known as Romani people.
It's really amazing to see the similarities in our languages.

@@Christophers_intuition We don't speak romani(gypsy language), we speak ROMANIAN. I am romanian.

The Romanian Language has 3 layers. The Dacian substrate, the Latin strate and the Slavic superstrate.
Our vocabulary is 71,66% LATIN and 14,17% SLAV. Romanians speak a LATIN language and not a SLAVIC one, but we have a lot of slavic influences as well as turkish influences.
Trishool in hindi means trident .. usually associated with lord Shiva's weapon.

Thankyou from New Zealand for helping our family to learn the language of our ancestors. Opre Roma!
@Ebk Rohan Yes. Even more in Australia.
@Ebk Rohan muchas gracias mi amigo. We have not forgotten you guys either. Aroha mai i a Aotearoa ( Love from New Zealand)
@Ebk Rohan No. We have a very diverse society. There is some racism towards people of colour, but the majority of citizens are not racists. More often people are curious about a persons background. Most Roma in NZ are integrated into society. The racism in Europe towards Roma is deplorable. An indictment on European society.
@Ebk Rohan most people with Roma blood here can pass as half Polynesian or Maori or Indian. Often Indian people ask if we're Indian.

My Grandparents came here to the US in 1930 from Germany. I found out from Ellis Island records. Grandma was in a head scarf and everything. People would take pictures of others getting off the boats and sell them. I love digging up the history. They came because Hitler was rounding up Roma people (yes before the Jews) and so the left everything behind for a safe place to live. They ended up settling in Pennsylvania. My father would not speak to me in Roma, in fact they lied and said they were Italian ( I guess they were embarrassed?)

I have always wanted to learn Romani,,,I love the Gypsy joy of life and indomitable spirit,,,also the Flamenco and the great genius gypsy Jazz musicians like Django Reinhardt and Birelli,,,,Thanks guys,,,please teach us,,,,
Flamenco originated because of the Christian oppression of the Muslim Andalusians, it was an Arabic word for an oppressed farmer "Fallah Menkoub" which later on became Fla menco through the centuries.
