My bedroom is small. I really like the idea of placing curtain panels along a window wall, this gives me an option of placing my bed, not just only one wall. The headboard covers are genius 🤗🤗🤗
I have a brass bed that I was going to get rid of but in this home the only place for the bed is in front of a window. I wanted an upholstered frame but thought it would close off that window. So I kept the bed for now and I took your idea & made the drapes go to ceiling & about a foot past each bed post. I think it looks beautiful. I also got rid of the large mirror that came with the dresser. I put up a large, gold framed round mirror. What a difference!

We put our bed in front of a window and we hung a quilt rack with a shelf and it looks balanced, in a 11x10 bedroom and have a California King bed.The quilt has tropical colors.It fits our taste . We have to end tables that are our chest for clothes.They are perfect size for California King.We did driftwood and we have a matching chest at foot of our bed for quilt storage.We also both have 2 each drawers under our bed.Since our room is so small we made do with a lot of your suggestion.Thx

I like that you mention a shelf for the bedside table. I realized the only thing I used my bedside table for was my phone charging station. Everything inside was just catching dust..so I got rid of it and installed a small shelf (my bedside light is a sconce).
I'm incredibly low on storage and I already have under the bed drawers- but I've been considering putting one of my dressers in my walk in closet, this is my sign to organize my closet next week and give it a try. I feel like a statement tree would be much more appealing in that spot because I've already got a sideboard under my low pitched ceiling/skylight and another dresser on a different wall. Feels like too much!

Kristen great video and Brookline promo. I use an Italian and Sheets from Portugal naps they are pure cotton. Etc etc .. breathable , crisp , fresh and light. I will look into the Brook linen sheets for back up sheets
I love the ideas, but I am not too fond of the hotel style, I want it to be home, hygge.. I am Scandinavian, and we love to use wallpaper, especially in bedrooms. Could you show some examples on Scandi style bedrooms? 🌸
I agree..... I don't get why the " Hotel Bedroom " look is such a big thing... (?) Sure there are some high-end Hotel bedrooms that look absolutely stunning.... but I don't want my home to look like that . I want my home to be a reflection of the things that are me.... the things that I enjoy ...the things that represent who I am and the Decor reflects that.

I am trying to find a good palette for my bedroom, it's chopping and changing all the time and I am struggling to find something cohesive, that was until I saw this video. I want something stylish, neutral and warm, think I just found my answer. Never thought of those colours at all, the back wall you painted is a beautiful colour, though a little dark for my tiny bedroom. However I am sure a lighter shade would be perfect! Thank you for the inspiration.
I need a rug!!! Hardwood floors are not cozy in a bedroom, and they creak when I walk. Unfortunately, we have a king size bed so I need to save up for a while to get a large enough rug. Thanks for the great video!
....As far as bed placement, it is helpful to know your good Feng Shui Directions since this is important. I've had to place my bed angled, in the corner a few times , because of the room layout, and it was the best Direction for me. So it comes down to more than trying to center the bed . 🙂😊 Of course, simple bedding is elegant, classy for everyday .... and can be " dressed up " for Holidays, etc.

If you have really plush carpet in your bedroom and a platform bed, would you still do an area rug? I'm imagining the weight of the bed and softness of the carpet are going to create sunken effect that the area rug will just highlight? Thoughts?

Yeah, we bought that very popular Ikea trundle bed. So amazing in theory. The problem is the mattress . . . in theory you have some sort of mattress that you can store when you pull it out, or you have twin mattress on top and pull out and fill with a foam mattress when you want a double . . . but we had no storage for that. So it just became an awkward double bed. Which was fine when she was 13 but the when it became an adult bed, it was actually too short for adults to stretch out on. So the whole concept was a fail. Anyone want a free trundle bed with the foot side chopped off?
You told us about the sheets which is wonderful However...what is making the duvet cover look scrumptious..is the light & airy comforter inside THAT IS THE SCENE STEALER!!! Tell us please.. WHAT COMFORTER IS INSIDE THAT DUVET?

Corner headboard work great for double or queen size beds against the wall. you can DYI them pretty easily.
