Congrats on getting your comment "pinned" to the top of the comments for everyone else to read. Out of all the comments I had today, (47 new comments and 27 replies) yours was the absolute dumbest fuckin comment I had.
I’m changing spark plugs & wires on my 2007 Softail Deluxe and love the way you give detail on tools to use and how & why they are important. The zip tie to hold the wire in place is genius. Thank you.
We installed a set of fat wires (HD) because the local dealers couldn’t supply a set of factory leads. But kudos to HD . They included all the wire loom or loops in the box. Milwaukee 8’s have an interesting set of attachment to guide the wires
Steve I got to tell you I love your videos and the fact that you actually respond to comments on here and not just want people to like & subscribe Maybe if your going to be at Daytona spring rally I would love to buy you a beer and chat some I hope you and your family have a great thanksgiving !
Hey Steven thank for the kind words my friend. We are indeed shooting for spring Daytona with a meet and greet at Ciro3d's tent and another at the advanblack tent. But if you see us out and about between them make sure to say hey for sure man. Take care and ride safe! Have a happy thanksgiving!
I have a 1998 Harley-Davidson road king classic, and when I accelerated hard it would miss. I got some Moroso spark plug wires and the wire for the front cylinder was too long.I took that wire off and shortened it to fit. On the part of the wire I didn't use I noticed nick in the wire. This cured my missing issue, today was finally 60+° today, so I took it out for a shakedown. It's running better than ever.
Thank you Sir...ran a lot of fuel like that down an open rail and it was a cleaninstall..figured it would work about anywhere. Thanks for checking it out. Be safe take care and have a happy thanksgiving!
2005 FLSTFSE Very helpful. Had a problem I’ve been chasing for a year. The bikes speedo and odometer would stop working 10 miles into a ride and the bike would sputter when coming to a stop. Even shut off in low idle turns. Harley forums and some Harley shops said it was the Speedo or speed sensor that needed a change out. Bike has 20k miles. Ran into someone that said to change out my Steel braided lines that was cause the issue you talked about. I went with the wires you mentioned in your video. Bike runs great now. Great video you shared.
Yes sir..I have those on the Street glide...Went back to order them again and they dont have them now...but I agree very good look! Take care and ride safe! Have a happy thanksgiving!
Are the se phat wires and se plugs matched for the ion technology.. I would think so but not sure . I have an 03 heritage it has this technology. It is a se 95 ci now .. thanks
Upgrading your spark plug wires are an easy upgrade complimenting your bike's appeal. You did a really good review explaining the process of replacing spark plug wires on a HD. It was clear and concise going over everything step by step. Great job!
Heck yeah they are nice for the price...my original amazon set lasted well over 5 years and was still working when I too them off to replace them with Ciros Shock and awe...albeit a little more expensive than the amazon ones though.
I shot it today..I'll be editing in my downtime and I'll release it this Saturday at noon ...I didn't have any M8s that needed a plug change but I went through all of the steps showing how to do it. Watch for it on Saturday.
I'm went with the SE Phat 10mm wires, and I LOVE the zip tie tip! 👍 I was told not to use anti-seize on the plugs because it interferes with the torque setting (over tightening). Have you ran into this issue? Thanks again.
Thank you Toby. If the gap is too big simply push the electrode down. If you have a spark plug gapper like the tool I used in the video you can use that. Use the side of it and press in. If its too small use the hole in the tool to pry up and spread it.
Good Morning, I live in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) and I'm new to the channel. I have a 2011 Fat Boy with 15K miles. My motorcycle has the following problem (I ask you because no one has yet discovered what happens). When I maintain a constant speed, (easier to notice at low speeds) the engine chokes. Another point is that the exhaust, original, backfires a lot whenever we release the accelerator. Spark plugs are new (Screeming Eagle). Would you or someone else on the channel have a tip to solve this problem? Thank you and I wish you all a Merry Christmas.
I love your building a heritage. Your videos are so helpful with my 2017 heritage build . I installed the same inner primary cover and I was wondering would I be able to install cobra true dual exhaust system or would the primary cover be in the way?
Not sure on that one...I would have to call Cobra to ask if I was installing it..im sure thats not the first time someone has asked and they should know for sure. Have a happy thanksgiving!
Its the same as these wires...they are not necessary at all. You will notice no notable difference if you run Screamin Eagle plugs on a stock or even stage 1 tuned fuel injected bike. If you start getting into higher stages and you find yourself having a hard time tuning the bike, then you may look into better plugs but really only for longevity. The rest of what you read about "better" plugs is all hype. If your bike is running fine with oem plugs, keep using them and save giving harley an additional 15 bucks.
Put it around the edges of the boot...it will help eliminate arching and give it a good water tight seal. Later it will help remove the wires when needed.
@@crazylouie68 really no need to pull the fuse or torque the plugs...I usually just do it hand tight..but the first time I dont use a torque wrench ill have a buch of comments on it lol
Sweet video love watching. So do spark plug wires just go bad over time like the plugs do and should be changed ever so often Steve even if the wires still look good on the outside?
Thanks Chad! I've seen plug wires that have zero visible damage be bad so yes, for the price its not a bad idea to change them out. Take care and ride safe! Have a happy thanksgiving!
You are awesome and another awesome video. i wish i could subscribe more than just the once lol. Im new to Harley (sort of), came off an Indian and got rid of it and love my 21 SGS and between the multiple Ciro3D videos you have saved me a lot of money. Going to be ordering some lowers in River Rock Gray very soon along with those lights in the lowers from Advanblack (because of you). you make things seem easy and for someone like me who has no mechanical skills (im an investment banker) you have given me the confidence to do things myself. That being said, i still have no interest in doing 3 hole oil changes, that i will leave to the dealer. :) Love the orange Phat wire just not sure how it will look with River Rock Gray paint
Thank you for the kind words my friend. Youll have those lowers an lights on in no time...and if you run into a snag just call me on the advan tech line and ill help you there. Completely understandable on the oil change. Once you get more comfortable wrenching on it then give it a try, itll save you tons of cash. Take care and ride safe! Have a happy thanksgiving!
Wow never paid $350 for a service manual. Every Harley i owned purchased a service manual from Harley for $55-$85. Would really like to have a down loadable genuine Harley Shop Manual

Thank you for checking it out and really glad it helped!
I always like to take air and blow around the plug before removing just incase there is any trash around then so nothing falls in the cylinder
Excellent and I forgot about it since I had just detailed the bike..great point though! Take care and ride safe! Have a happy thanksgiving!

Yes especially the details on removing the fuel tank, TY
shooting it today! Should be uploaded this weekend.
Love the idea of the plug wires. My plugs are hidden under the Ciro3D Spark Plug Hut and that's a pretty slick look.

Really? How stupid are people? They need help changing plug wires? Do they also need help tying there shoes?
LOL, The subtle mention of "see the screaming eagle, that we paid extra money for"
😂😂 The truth right lol Take care and ride safe! Have a happy thanksgiving!
I was on a ground rolling too , when I heard that
Need the best way to replace spark plug wires on a 2003 ultra
Great upgrade, I want to add those to my 21 RGS!

Have you created a 4 sprk plug install on a touring bike and removing the fuel tank to do it? Ty Great videos
Hey ron..I happen to have a M8 Road Glide St in here now..so that is a video I can shoot for you. I've had a few questions on the same thing.
Great video. Love ur channel!
Thank you William!

Heck yeah its nice upgrade..thanks for checking out the video and have a happy thanksgiving!
Like the videos but no one ever shows a videos on a 95 1200 sportster
thanks benny...in order for us to do videos on a particular year and model I would need to have one here. If I did I would surely do them.
I'm went with the SE Phat 10mm wires, and I LOVE the zip tie tip! 👍 I was told not to use anti-seize on the plugs because it interferes with the torque setting (over tightening). Have you ran into this issue? Thanks again.
Ive got 2 bikes with it and 3 bikes without it ...I dont think it really matters
I've been using a touch of copper coat on my plug threads for years. Torque to spec and all will be fine. Copper is a great conductor.
If the spacing on a spark plug is "off" how do you adjust it? EXCELLENT video!!!! Thank you!!!
Thank you Toby. If the gap is too big simply push the electrode down. If you have a spark plug gapper like the tool I used in the video you can use that. Use the side of it and press in. If its too small use the hole in the tool to pry up and spread it.

Bike looks sick as it is !
Thank you! Take care and ride safe! Have a happy thanksgiving!
like the zip tie conecter
Yes sir! Thanks for checking it out!
I adjusted my clutch it seems like it releases pretty far out how do I get it to engage closer to the grips? Maybe I need some new clutch plates
Hey Travis sounds like the cable needs adjusted and here is a great video from JP Cycles that may help you th-cam.com/video/4p_vjd0GtCk/w-d-xo.html
Dig the zip tie tip. Thanks
Pretty clean just takes a little bit longer to do..just looks way better. Thanks for checking it out. Have a happy thanksgiving!
Do you have the ohms values for the stock spark plug wires ???? Tc88
twin cam 88 has 5,000 - 11,666 ohm
Another great video sir
Thanks again my friend!
You never mentioned what spark plug you recommend??? Does a stock or stage one matter on spark plugs????

You can also use a zip tie to “burp” your plug wire boot so that it’s correctly sealed to avoid corrosion. Good video though.
Nice...I always used a paper clip if it needed burped but to be honest ive never had that issue with HD wires and plugs.
Bravo pour ta vidéo.
thank you!

Absolutly ...they can pull up plugs for the bikes too and much cheaper im sure than HD
