- Hey guys! We found these RC tanks at our local Kohl's and figured they would be fun to try and mod to shoot fireworks! I made an A7V tank skin for them so that the rockets could pierce the skin and hopefully explode the tanks!

I've been building a 1::40-ish scale RC OTOMATIC. The OTO Main Anti-Aircraft Tank for Intercept and Combat is an Italian test SPAAG armed with a 76mm Naval cannon that can take AP, APIT, HEF, HEP, and APHE rounds, for destruction of Air targets, and defence against hostile ground vehicles. The project is coming along great, and motivation is high!
Very interesting idea to make a RC tank to shoot with fireworks. In this way you can simulate a real tank battle :))

Chipmunk Channel Maxim machine guns you mean, the Vickers were British made Maxim Guns, and the Maxim was German. But both are pretty similar to each other.

why didn't the esc blow up when you shorted it with nichrome wire?
Christian Wang Nichrome wire has a VERY high resistance, even more than tungsten I believe, so when a current is applied from the esc, electrically speaking, it is similar to attaching a resistor with a high resistance or a motor. The effect of this high resistance is heat given off so it glows and also starts fires :p
