A cool side engine I found was Nadir servant with 1 branded in high spirits. It's a starter by itself, an extender and can be used if you get ashed. Basically it allows you to send sprind to search albaz, endphase summon springans kitt, add branded in high spirit, use high spirits discard albaz and send albion add merc. Use albion set branded in red. Opp's next turn use in red target albaz fuse with kit and albaz make mirrorjade. (Use lubellion fusing albion from grave and albaz) You then have a negate with merc, live mirrorjade a 3000 def monster, mirrorjade pop and in the Enphase you get branded fusion + high spirits is added back to hand. Also a cool extender as it always gets you an albion to grave and a merc without using mirrorjade.
@@justinfournier2521ya I don’t think this is possible or at least not in master duel… Nadir servant is amazing but during the end phase with Sprind you can special summon a kitt and the pull a BIHS for cost of another card in hand shuffle back to deck however you can’t activate it 😅… it’s quick spell so perhaps the coding is messed up with master duel?! Honestly I love Nadir either way cause if it get ashed I can send a fusion either way and put an Albaz on the field & either use cartesia, branded in red, banishment, or super poly… honestly I think there are some glitches with master duel cause it’s very hard to run Branded without Super Poply or some other insane board breakers or hand traps

Invoked Shaddoll Dogmatika is absolutely insane. Summon 5 monsters turn one severely consistently, as well as top tier floodgating. It also summons Winda on top of it.

Excellent series my man, I've been playing branded for a while on master duel and I've been looking to make the deck and take it to locals. This series has helped out a bunch with understanding all the lines and interactions that I wasn't familiar with, so thank you very much :)
Also found that super poly and despian comedy are great counter for evenly matched so you can ensure your Granguigol gets to the graveyard while you still keep your best card out
Bystial engine is nowadays, July 2023, it's the most expensive. Lubellon is averagely USD$80. The same for, let's say 3 copies of secret ash blossom. Thank you for yyour videos! I'm starting the TCG and this helps me so bad!!!
I have been doing some research and trying different builds of branded despia also. I am loving your videos, they are very informative and great guidance on combo lines. Right now I am playing the keeper/predaplant line. It is really good in my opinion. Instant fusion is such a good searchable starter with keeper. Also keeper is so versatile adding most of the fusion card in your deck. Not only keeper, but also searching with darlingtonia cobra at the end of the predaplant line for another fusion spell. The advantage gained with this engine is strong and all before you attempt to activate branded fusion. Also making super poly is great in this build as well.
Having tested High spirits. I can see the hype because some hands gave me so much advantage, but running it at a locals felt so bad vs allure 45 deck or a strict 40 deck with Burial and Sarcophagus. I’d also add you have to run kit if you are playing HS. It’s the only searchable card that gets you to BF
Depending on how you pivot your Predaplant build, the package is actually tiny, 4 cards in fact, 1 Ambulomelides, 1 Bufolicula, 1 Cobra and 1 Instant Fusion, the entire engine is carried by Keeper of Dragon Magic which IMO is one of the best cards to be using in Branded right now, being able to add Branded Fusion, Instant Fusion OR Fusion Deployment depending on your situational needs is busted, very very strong card indeed. EDIT: One thing I do want to add, the biggest weakness with the Predaplant build is if you open the Cobra in your starting hand, the engine loses a loooot of power immediately, it's not dead, but its for sure not ideal, Cobra is a 1 of so the chances are low, but we all know how opening the 1 ofs goes sometimes lol.
Ya I tried dragon of keeper magic before but that 1 card cost is too much!… would rather use a 1 card cost for Super Poly so I can break my opponent’s board while I get out a good card if I have to go second…
High spirits is another route to branded fusion if you add Kitt. But it's really suboptimal as you go -2 in hand. Also, you can't use it under macro cosmos/arise-heart, etc. I would only play it as part of the nadir servant package (which also dies to arise-heart). Keeper of dragon magic is a really good card, but my experience is if it gets ash'd or impermed, you are screwed as you are now -2 in hand with no follow up.
Wonderful video. My current build is running three of these; deployment, bystials, and handtraps, though my bystial package is small, mainly to facilitate searching backrow with Lubellion. Kinda tempted to try Predaplant though, it seems interesting.
Great video. I play a combo of fusion deployment, hand trap, and Kaiju interrupted Slumber. I choose to go second almost always. Break the board and go for OTK, 43 in the main. I’m trying to get it down to 41,42 for better consistency but idk what to cut 🤷🏽♂️
I ran a large Kaiju package at YCS LA with two triple tactic thrust and 1x slumber, I was attempting to go first. Just wondering if you could explain how you usually go for OTK, if you have a common line you usually do or anything
@@xBrayJay I run the dark and light Kaiju. Give them the 3300. Go for Dragoon. Burn them for 3300 and most times that plus Dragoon with another monster it’s usually dusk dragon and that’s 8800

It would like to add to the discussion of some packages. High spirits does not need Construct, it is just the option for despians to be used as a bridge. However, just for fun, using Construct can let you make winda. If you add a main deck shaddoll for utility, you go for something Spicy like using expulsion to summon albaz and said shaddoll and make winda on your opponents turn. You can send Merc and Rind to set up disruption and a possible search with merc. Saronir and High spirits let you combo real nice, and end in fun boards like double masquerade with other things. If you really need to, you can use dragoon with eclessia/cartesia. And if you really do not want to run dark magician in the main, you could have the dragon fusion that treats its name as dark magician and bridge with it. Very janky, but possible. Another important thing, it lets you search without using your normal if you send an albaz fusion and search for Kitt (as you can then special kitt). Lastly, at worst it is discard fodder that will add to your hand and enable follow up .
Another thing, Fusion Deployment has Another application. You can side Aqua Neos and the dolphin. Then, you never worry about Ash as dolphin will kill it. There is also the ultra jank Last warrior from another planet and the negate the second material has. If you run dragoon, you can get Dark Magician. Can be a pseudo super poly with Albaz too.
Branded Expulsion would also be a package. Why? First of all, it kills evenly. If you run Cartesia and her fusion, and run diferent albaz fusions, you can get a lot of things in the GY. You can run Jinzo to win against traps, invadir of darkness to kill runick, Krysta for fun stuff, or a main deck shaddoll to set up a winda with albaz. Since it can take things from any GY or banish, you can steal monsters or use it to disruption targeted GY effects (like branded in red). Since you can special both to your side, if you have 2 albaz fusions on the field and merc in GY, you can summon albaz and merc to your side to gain a negate and a super poly in albaz. At worst, going minus for sprindd The package only requieres expulsion, but you can side stuff to win some games. Lastly, yes, you can run a lock, but it does much more.
Lastly, a small chaos package might be fun. Chaos Valkyria and Chaos Space. Chaos space searches Lubelion or Valkyria. Valkyria is basically a bystial with an effect when banished. It being a light target, it allows for a mill like cartesia's fusion, a more genereous one. Something of note, it blocks activated effects of the cards... but say, Something like jinzo would work :) Then, your Gold Sarc can be a Foolish too (as all your monsters are dark or light), and you can extend with it more than a bystial on all lines. The extra foolish is just nice.
You know I’m part of the FB branded deck group and they really just hate their own deck no one ever wants to try new things and when the deck loses they say cuz it’s a bad deck so I love your videos
I also like to throw around "Branded is bad" to non Branded players because A: Less people playing it means I don't have to deal with mirror match because it's rather boring B: For people to stop complaining Branded is degenerate or op or something, it actually doesn't do that much, it just one of the few good design deck C: Pray to god they won't hit Branded Despia stuff so I can keep playing it 🙃🙃
@PhantomsYGO Awesome video man very well put together. I'd definitely recommend testing out BIHS a bit more. BIHS+Saronir is full combo & can help bait interruptions. Also gives you another line/way to get to BF which can be beneficial if you need to use your Aluber search for Lost. If BF gets Ash'd you can use BIHS to get you set up for Red & MJ summon on their turn 😎
You can play a tearlaments as well to use as fusion material for the lubellion fusion and get free fusion summon off of the tears effect. Also if used as a material from the hand it's 2 masquerades
What about Shaddoll? It is a 3 Card Engine (1x the trapp, 2x Extra Deck). Since most decks play nadir you can easily play these cards. Also you play Granguignol that can start this play. I prefer to play Masked Hero Dark Law with three masked spells. So if you normal summon Aluber and something is chained to negate the search you can just activate yout quick spell to summon dark law and still search. It was great. Got second place with the dark law build. No one excpected something like this!
I immediately see some utility in Branded in High Spirits if you are playing Branded as part of a larger deck, such as Predaplant or Shaddoll. But in the pure build, it seems pretty mid.
I think In this format and every deck list I’ve seen, they just run one lubellion and 1 saronir. I think next play set we might need more bystials with the synchro plays
I played a bit of a spicy tech in Branded at YCS LA that I haven’t seen anyone else try, and I managed to go 6-3 my first time playing in a YCS. Almost made day 2 but my opponent drew the 2-of Ash both games (game 2 he drew both). Big respect to all my opponents tho especially the ones that beat me (except for the fossil dyna stun player who won by die roll against me round 1). High Spirits engine was REALLY good last format when we were playing 9-15 Bystials.
I was also at LA, dropped at 4-3. I was on a 45 card build, my techs were 2 magnamhut, 2 Saronir, 2 thrust 1 talent 1 Kaiju slumber and 5 light kaijus. Kaijus overperformed, bystials when I saw them had either super high impact or super low impact.
This engine does tend to brick and takes up needed extra deck spots due to Kashtira. I’ve tried it and once I drew the Cobra back to back games I was all set lol
The kaiju engine is literally way higher nat beast and arise heart are everywhere add in super poly and now decks that had non light dark just became super poly targets also fusion and allure food
I've been doing deployment, 6 bystials and 3nib 1 ash. I'm pretty happy with it. Honestly if I was dropping my bystial count I'd keep 2 saronir or even just do 3 saronir. Branded in high spirits + saronir is just nutty
I have had alot of success running ash and nibiru main then siding out nib for kaijus in games 2/3, tends to always catch people off guard. Love the idea of allure as a concept and want it to work, but it feels like a dead card when your hand is already good because you never want to activate it. I have tried high spirits, both before PHHY and in early CYAC testing, and it is lackluster with the stuff we have right now. 3 is definitely incorrect. Branded in high spirits suffers the same problem as opening where you want to see it but never in multiples. The card doesn't need construct post CYAC and becomes a very cool combo piece at 1 copy, similar to what happened with branded in white. Alot of OCG lists run 1 copy now and I definitely see it seeing play next set
Revzcards ran the predaplant for the ycs and I think he made it day 2 what are your thoughts on his build? And what are your thoughts going into cyberacess for what you will run?
@@phantomsygo I can say that after ycs a lot of ppl at least on the Fb group for the deck are selling their decks, I won’t lie I wanna play manadome but I think to sell you deck just cuz it didn’t do well in a 17+ rounds I mean everyone knew ash was a issue for the deck. If Kash gets hit it may have a chance but it comes down to are you playing to become super competitive or just locals/regional
is it insane to run baronne if you play ash and ghost ogre/moonlit? i feel like i can often go into baronne before mirrorjade and have more interruptions on board Edit: Yes
@@brockfg However if you do want to play Baronne, the upcoming Cyberstorm Access pack have some Branded support including a really strong starter, Guiding Quem, the Virtuous and a Branded trap that allow you to Synchro summon, Branded Etude, not a lot of Branded players actually like it but rather shit on it alot but it did help when I fought my brother and he drop Dimensional Barrier on me, can't fusion? Synchro into Baronne.
Info on predaplant package. 1× insta fusion 1x ready fusion 1x predaplant ambulances 1x predaplant dragonstapelia 1x predaplant darlington cobra 1x predaplant bofulica 1x Alvin essense of veinty Can go into literal full play with keeper of magic or just a insta fusion. @orochisamuraiygo9732 true. It's a 1 off though if you got instant fusion hand which I'd nice. Either theatre or cartesia for fusions that turn to get some more haha. To me the predaplant package is mainly fusion support. I just happen to notice once I was going through it that with cobra if you kept going and didn't lock yourself into just fusion you can go into ready fusion and then summon the tuner bird into baron. With baron next to likes of dragoon, mirrorjade, or masquerade is scary in my opinion

i personally reallyl likc the patchwork engine and everyone hates on it so im glad to see it here
I think the Predaplant play is just 3 keepers and those other two on the main deck and then 1 in the extra deck.

I'd definitely recommend testing out BIHS a bit more.
BIHS+Saronir is full combo & can help bait interruptions.
Also gives you another line/way to get to BF which can be beneficial if you need to use your Aluber search for Lost.
If BF gets Ash'd you can use BIHS to get you set up for Red & MJ summon on their turn 😎
Yeah i think it's better when playing a big bystial count, which isn't good this format unfortunately
You can play a tearlaments as well to use as fusion material for the lubellion fusion and get free fusion summon off of the tears effect. Also if used as a material from the hand it's 2 masquerades
What about Shaddoll? It is a 3 Card Engine (1x the trapp, 2x Extra Deck). Since most decks play nadir you can easily play these cards. Also you play Granguignol that can start this play. I prefer to play Masked Hero Dark Law with three masked spells. So if you normal summon Aluber and something is chained to negate the search you can just activate yout quick spell to summon dark law and still search. It was great. Got second place with the dark law build. No one excpected something like this!
I immediately see some utility in Branded in High Spirits if you are playing Branded as part of a larger deck, such as Predaplant or Shaddoll. But in the pure build, it seems pretty mid.
I think In this format and every deck list I’ve seen, they just run one lubellion and 1 saronir. I think next play set we might need more bystials with the synchro plays

Oh boy i havent seen branded darklord since like, pre structure deck. Really couldnt tell you, dunno how good it wpuld be
I played a bit of a spicy tech in Branded at YCS LA that I haven’t seen anyone else try, and I managed to go 6-3 my first time playing in a YCS. Almost made day 2 but my opponent drew the 2-of Ash both games (game 2 he drew both). Big respect to all my opponents tho especially the ones that beat me (except for the fossil dyna stun player who won by die roll against me round 1).
High Spirits engine was REALLY good last format when we were playing 9-15 Bystials.
What were your spicy techs?
I was also at LA, dropped at 4-3. I was on a 45 card build, my techs were 2 magnamhut, 2 Saronir, 2 thrust 1 talent 1 Kaiju slumber and 5 light kaijus. Kaijus overperformed, bystials when I saw them had either super high impact or super low impact.

I’m trying a small Predaplant package
Predaplants give you extra fusioning options and easy Dragoon. I already had Dragoon anyway and the Predaplant cards are fairly cheap
This engine does tend to brick and takes up needed extra deck spots due to Kashtira. I’ve tried it and once I drew the Cobra back to back games I was all set lol

The kaiju engine is literally way higher nat beast and arise heart are everywhere add in super poly and now decks that had non light dark just became super poly targets also fusion and allure food
Tear engine isn’t bad it helps with recursion

I've been doing deployment, 6 bystials and 3nib 1 ash. I'm pretty happy with it. Honestly if I was dropping my bystial count I'd keep 2 saronir or even just do 3 saronir. Branded in high spirits + saronir is just nutty
I have had alot of success running ash and nibiru main then siding out nib for kaijus in games 2/3, tends to always catch people off guard. Love the idea of allure as a concept and want it to work, but it feels like a dead card when your hand is already good because you never want to activate it.
I have tried high spirits, both before PHHY and in early CYAC testing, and it is lackluster with the stuff we have right now. 3 is definitely incorrect. Branded in high spirits suffers the same problem as opening where you want to see it but never in multiples. The card doesn't need construct post CYAC and becomes a very cool combo piece at 1 copy, similar to what happened with branded in white. Alot of OCG lists run 1 copy now and I definitely see it seeing play next set

Revzcards ran the predaplant for the ycs and I think he made it day 2 what are your thoughts on his build? And what are your thoughts going into cyberacess for what you will run?

@@phantomsygo I can say that after ycs a lot of ppl at least on the Fb group for the deck are selling their decks, I won’t lie I wanna play manadome but I think to sell you deck just cuz it didn’t do well in a 17+ rounds I mean everyone knew ash was a issue for the deck. If Kash gets hit it may have a chance but it comes down to are you playing to become super competitive or just locals/regional
@@88switchblade people are cutting ash now which means next time around branded will come back up. it's a cycle

I think it's got potential! Winda is always good, especially next format (except against Kashtira which deals with Winda easily unfortunately)

no i havent seen a list with chaos space but that's interesting
I do think Branded is one of the only decks that can benefit from a Tear splash these days.
is it insane to run baronne if you play ash and ghost ogre/moonlit? i feel like i can often go into baronne before mirrorjade and have more interruptions on board

Branded fusion can't be activated the turn you synchro summon, has a heavier restriction than stuff like fusion destiny

@@brockfg However if you do want to play Baronne, the upcoming Cyberstorm Access pack have some Branded support including a really strong starter, Guiding Quem, the Virtuous and a Branded trap that allow you to Synchro summon, Branded Etude, not a lot of Branded players actually like it but rather shit on it alot but it did help when I fought my brother and he drop Dimensional Barrier on me, can't fusion? Synchro into Baronne.

@Broskander Unless they meant full Branded Dark Magician deck which ironically can perform pretty well, Dragoon is a strong boss monster.

Can go into literal full play with keeper of magic or just a insta fusion. Also leads to baron de fleur via ready fusion plus instant fusion combo
Keep in mind if you go into Barone, you cannot activate Branded Fusion at all that turn.
@orochisamuraiygo9732 true. It's a 1 off though if you got instant fusion hand which I'd nice. Either theatre or cartesia for fusions that turn to get some more haha. To me the predaplant package is mainly fusion support. I just happen to notice once I was going through it that with cobra if you kept going and didn't lock yourself into just fusion you can go into ready fusion and then summon the tuner bird into baron. With baron next to likes of dragoon, mirrorjade, or masquerade is scary in my opinion
