I think Branded is still a meta contender. If other Branded dummies would stop relying on puppet, and playing mid range control, it would be better of a top cut representation. Chimera is good deck, highly slept on. Built mine 2 weeks ago, love it as much as Branded 😊😊

The branded player who went into Masq dragon game 3 and then checked his GY 5 times only to get the round extended and get OTK by the snake eyes opponent was pretty funny. Got banned from chat for saying "Konami needs to sell those tins boys" which was interesting. I felt like there was a lot more people on feature "slow playing" but didnt get the round extended. Funnily enough if the branded player just did puppet lock like he had the previous game he would have won rather than just burning for time with Masq

Just hit puppet lock and give us 1 or 2 support cards, id be so happy. Recently started playing branded and i dont play puppet with friends or at locals so yeah i dont mind banning puppet or sanctifier.

Rota and fuwa is just a little over a week away + this ycs was in europe and europe is known for being quite diverse. So if we're being honest its very likely this changes quite a bit, especially in regards to brand vs chimera, chimera can run more non engine but iirc its anti fuwa plan isnt great, whilst branded can still set up a decent board to play on opps turn with giving 2 draws at most iirc. But either way rota format is gonna be alot more interesting in general.

Love kurikara in Vanquish Souls

You're thinking far too linearly. Assuming maker doesn't get rewritten that is easily the strongest cards in the set. It doesn't target mimighoul for it's summoning. It's any flip which forcing the enemy to flip a card is pretty easy. It has a fairly high ftk deck out capability. mimighoul dragon and worm victory makes a field wipe nearly certain and in case of negates it can play through fairly well. With even a half alright hand it will eat through negates and still have enough steam to do whatever you want. charm is fun to play with but that shit is getting negated most of the time. When it doesn't you can end up with a field of strong cards. The archtype is pretty flexible and doesn't require 15-20 crutch cards to be playable. It's pretty nice.

Therions are so fun even now, one of my favourite decks ive cooked up for locals is a 60 card Horus/Therion/P.U.N.K list. Regulus is probably my favourite card from the modern era

Dipsea is really neat, but it has a few small flaws that add up. Not a "Plunder" card. Doesn't keep its attribute on the opponent's turn. It's the second card we give the opponent for free. I do think it can be slightly better when paired with Adventure, because you can bounce it after making use of its Attribute, but Dipsea not being searchable makes it tough to use between 2 archetypes. I hope Plunder can get their own SPYRAL Double Agent. If I had full control over the card's design, I'd say something like.. *Purplebeard,* *the* *Plunder* *Patroll* *Stowaway* WATER Level 4 Fiend/Effect You can reveal 2 "Plunder Patroll" monsters in your Extra Deck; send 1 of the revealed cards to your opponent's GY, then you can Special Summon this card to your opponent's field with the Attribute of the other revealed card (but it cannot be Tributed, nor be used as material for a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Summon), also return it to your hand at the end of your opponent's next turn. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: This card's owner can discard 1 card. If this card is sent from the hand or Monster Zone to the GY: You can add 1 "Plunder Patroll" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Purplebeard, the Plunder Patroll Stowaway". You can only use each effect of "Purplebeard, the Plunder Patroll Stowaway" once per turn. 1000/1500 The search might be a little overboard, but sometimes I feel like Plunder lacks hand advantage despite having 5 searches, 2 draw cards, and 1 salvager.

Magician souls was actually a meta card on release, being used primarily in lunalight but also amazing in SPYRAL. If illusion had been released the same time it might have actually been format defining in that time. When first released it was a $80+ card.

Definitely miss Regulus and the Therion cards. I played PUNK Therion back at 2022 Nationals and absolutely loved how it played with both engines.

Kurikara is still possibly my favorite card of all time. Still love my kurikara playmat

Pleeeeasseee with just a snake eye engine!! This looks kinda good! But i need to get explanation of the snake eye combos! I started with mimighul after 1,5 years of pause with yugioh. But after i read everything all of the level 1 snake eye cards can maybe synergy with this deck

I kinda have to disagree, even without puppet locking, branded is still a very viable deck. Maybe not top of the meta, but far from rogue. The boards you are able to make are still very hard to play through, especially now with light and Darkness dragonlord. You can have 3 Omninegates, 1 monster negate, a non target banish, follow-up and maybe even more Interruptions with a good hand. Maybe not enough to top a YCS but surely it's powerful enough to crush a lokal.

Amazing deck profile, also test out and running Yubel pure with Spirit of Neos , Neos fusion and Favorite Contact into Neos Kluger as a back up plan. It finally completes it as a Jaden deck and it's really fun way to keep the deck cool and amazing. I had a lot of fun testing and running Yubel Kluger, it be interesting if you could make a deck profile of it. 🔥💯

Branded is one of if not my single favorite deck, but the only reason I still love it so much is in spite of puppet. Like you, I am not having fun doing the puppet lock so I don't play it. Simple as that, ad lib is the goat. If I puppet lock it is no longer the deck I fell in love with anyway.

Thanks for this and now I understand what you mean about branded being an archetype that uses lock mechanics to close out games most of the time. On the other hand, some boards and interactions between decks such as Yubel Vs Branded/Despia are not known. Therefore a video idea that I could suggest could be like 2-3 min videos where you talk about meta decks and their specific cards and knowing how to out a certain card with a branded combo etc. YOu can not only do this with branded but other decks and clearly state if their are not outs in video. Thanks for this video, I wasn't expecting you to make a discussion on this subject/my comment. Also although there are other branded TH-camrs the film aesthetic, explanation, and style aren't up to my standard, and that's the reason I find your branded content or any of your content most of the time better to look at.

It actually hurts how much Branded became bastardized over these few years. It was a great budget option because of the structure decks but it took way too long for Quem and Sanctifire to become affordable so I never got to actually use them. Now, the deck is about either getting the lock or losing to handtrap oblivion. It also sucks that the Branded community has this heavy underdog mentality that keeps their deck ideas stagnant.

Alright, so you can recycle an old branded tutorial video BUT you do it while working out. This’ll give you an edge over the other Branded creators 🤷🏻‍♀️ they just don’t have the physique to compete- thoughts?

Not Branded related, but what's your thoughts on running swap frog + mirror mage+freezing chains to make toad in plunder? Thought process was that all the plunders are water and toad can even add back a plunder to hand for ammo after it hits the gy.

I've never cared about puppet.As a a matter of fact I recently removed my Albion The Sanctifife dragon ffom the exyra deck. You've done more than enough in terms of easing new players into the deck

Harmonic Synchro Fusion Branded. I've been theorycrafting a list for a while now, but haven't gotten to test too much. I was finally able to get my Quems because of the tin reprints. I might actually post a quick video decklist on it myself just to get the ideas out into the world, but it's such a funky card that I want to brew with.
