Dear Brett - Thanks for the video and product demo. It happened right in the middle of my quest to simplify my life and my playing by finding one guitar and one amp to “rule them all.”
I have the guitar. It’s a parts guitar that I have just assembled from Warmoth Guitars. It’s a T shape with P-90 pickups. The amp is going to be the Ethos Overdrive. As I studied the video what I really enjoyed was watching you toggle through all the settings that you were using. Then you listed them right there on the video for all of us to follow. No smoke and mirrors. Just simple information. Thanks again. My experience was the same as yours with Robbie Hall and Sue Harry at Custom Tones. They were top shelf. Sue answered all my questions and made it super easy to help me get exactly what I wanted. So I sold some gear, broke open the piggy bank and bought the pedal. Also, when I was hung up in Paypal limbo Sue helped there too. I should have my pedal at the end of May or early June. Color me stoked I can’t wait!! Your Roots Rockin’ Pal from Virginia, Billy F. Otis PS - Like Custom Tones, You, your playing and product demos are at the top of the heap.
Always being tempted here on this channel to buy,buy buy. Great demo. This pedal delivered a lot of great tones. Some more subtle than others but great none the less. Thanks Brett. Best to your family.
Nice improvisation. The sound is great. I don't know this pedal but I can say that it is a huge fantastic analog preamp. What a pity that is not selling in France. All my best. Phil from Dunkirk
Lol, I keep thinking the same thing. It's definitely his playing, but also a great ear so he can get great tones from all the gear. My ears get confused when I have heaps of parameters and selections because I tune in a good tone and find the next days it's not so great. I suppose ear fatigue would be a more appropriate tearm.... cheers.
Haha. I always thought our name was the most boring name ever! It's simple: I have a sound in my head and I try to coax it out of any given box regardless of whether its value is $60 or $600. I work with it to try to understand the builder's mindset and then try to present it in its best possible light according to what I want from it. And that's it, really. Some are a LOT better than others, of course...
Unimaginable Burgs...if I may...why you don't have 1M+ followers. If I want a "serious and solid" review of a product...this is where I come. EVERYONE MAKE SURE TO HIT THE LIKE BUTTON!!!!!
Ha! Thanks, DK. I guess I got in too early, am too old, I don't beg people to hit the like or subscribe buttons, and I'm generally just a do-what-the-hell-I-want sort of affair. But I'm glad you like what I do and I appreciate greatly your kind comment. Thank you! 🙏🏻
I'll probably never get to try one of these out. This and the Van Weelden Royal Overdrive are probably the best Dumble-esque pedals out there. I have something that might be the next best thing: a Tonehunter Blue Line Overdrive.
Brent, the pedals is killer and so is your playing. Do I hear a little Larry Carlton influence? Love the P90 Gibson. I just got into a Gibby Rick Beato les Paul and loving the P90 sound.
I love that thing! I'm still not sure which way to go. It's either this pedal (expensive and versatile, but hard to obtain), or the Crazy Tube Circuits Unobtanium (cheaper, in a live situation just as versatile, easily obtainable). My heart tells me to go for this. But my heart has failed me before. Hard...
The Unobtainium is great (apparently - I haven't tried it yet) but it's really a dual overdrive. One side Klon clone, one side their version of an ODS and SSS front end. No speaker sim output (that's important to me); no HRM EQ, no jazz/rock switching; no modern/classic switching, no hi-cut filter, no TLE... Are you with me? :D
Your Improv skills are through the roof Brett, that pedal has 100 personalities, well maybe not 100 😎

I can't tell if... every pedal you get to demo is gold...or it's your amazing playing. You never fail to inspire Brett ...and the coolest name ever!

I'd sit in a room and pay to watch Brett ( just noodle-around ) with This Pedal. OMG = "Sick Tones" my friend = absolutely killer tones & playing.
Умеете раскрыть, показать девайс в полной мере. Браво Brett. 👍👏

I just got an Ethos Overdrive in the mail today. :)
Sounds great man!

I'm just a 70's kid, Greg. That's all. Enjoy the new Gibbo!

@@BrettKingman : I’m with you. And not unimportant…, I do prefer the sound of the Ethos as well. 😬
How close can you come to that on your Axe-FX?
Very. Cliff at Fractal owns examples of the real thing. They've all been accurately modelled and are in the Firmware including the cabs.
Sweeeeeeeet! ❤
