Great! Through my own endeavors i’ve found that twig and stick method has gotten the water hotter and faster than my mini pocket stove. Taking into consideration time to gather, process, and ignite tinder I really like the twig and stick method! Great video!
I have several "twig" stoves. A large and medium Solo Stoves and a firebox. The Solo Stoves are Gasification stoves. But all three can also utilize spirit burners. Which is always a good "just in case" contingency should weather conditions prevent prevent the availability of dry fuel. Wood also imparts flavor to food prepare on it. All three are also good to use when wild fire conditions are high.
Boonedockery Due to these videos there will be a solid fuel stove added to my pack, prior to i never saw a need because i always had my pocket stove and a fresh tank to use but the solid fuel stoves just seem much more adaptable to many different situations.

Excellent video. Few people realize the value of charcoal as a fuel. I personally like to use the Matchlight briquets which light easily on their own.

HAHAHAHAAAAA BUWAHAAHAAHAA HAHAHAAAAA!!!!!!!!!😅😆😅😆😅😂😀
That totally depends on what stove and what your using it with. Likely yes, but not guaranteed to work with any and every possible stove and/or pot.
Very True! On behalf of any of the readers of this comment, thank you for adding this insight!
