    what a better way to watch a sophisticated video by having a British Person doing it . Just something about our Fav British Friends doing videos like this. Could You imagine anyone else doing Blue Planet but Sir Attenborough I think not. Maybe Huddison

    Great video! Great aircraft!
    I fly the Vision Jet on Xbox X with a Navigraph subscription. I plan my IFR flights on SimBrief and import the flight plan (FP) directly into the Vision Jet (there are how to videos on YT for this). The FP loads up automatically after import. It's very slick.
    Another thing you can do, along with setting altitude crossing restrictions for VNAV, is set speed restrictions at fixes for Auto Throttle (AT). If you have the AT turned on, the autopilot will automatically slow the Vision Jet to the restricted speed just before reaching the fix. This is ideal for getting to flaps speed. Also under AT, deploying flaps will cause the aircraft to slow to approach speed--145 kts for flaps 50% and 125 kts for flaps 100%. Lowering the landing gear will cause the AT to slow the aircraft to 105 kts. I like to turn off the AT about three miles from the runway so I can better manage the speed on short final.

      Very glad to read a confirmation that it works well on Xbox series X! I have a series S and not having good luck with the vision jet at all. The G3000 keeps going to black screens and I lose all navigation and instruments. I tried reducing map detail to the lowest setting and it helped extend the time before going blank by a few minutes but still makes this plane unusable for me. I have not even attempted to connect to Navigraph or Simbrief. Based on your comments I plan to buy a series X this afternoon and hope to get it up and running by tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

      Quick update for anyone else interested. After upgrading my setup from an Xbox Series S to X, the Vision Jet works perfectly for me! The G3000 in the TMB930 always worked on Series S so I guess it must be the additional memory load of the Vision other features that blew out the S. BTW, I also imported a Simbrief flight plan, used Simlink made extensive use of Navigraph charts with no problems at all on X. To boot, the amount of environmental detail that razzes up in the distance is night and day from S to X. Wish I had known that a long time ago..

    You mentioned that a livestream is what made you purchase this aircraft. Well, this video made me purchase it lol...and I bought the VelocityOne Flightstick because of your review video I watched back in December. Getting the Turtle Beach Flight Yoke as well this week. You're making me spend money Huddison! Lol, well worth it though. Been watching a lot of your videos lately, and you have the best tutorials in my opinion. Im from across the pond and thinking about doing a flight to the beautiful UK in this beautiful aircraft lol

    If you look at the approach chart for Manchester you will see that the final approach fix need to be at or above a specific altitude to assure correct capture range/alt combination to coincide with the glideslope altitude at that point, You can of course do what you like but it could make things tricky for you. Also what is the point of going to the expense of having the use of Navigraph Charts if you don't observe what they specifiy. I would sugges that people should try to adhere to the prescribed VNAV altitudes if possible,

    Always great videos and thanks. Despite being relatively comfortable with the look, feel and usage of the G3000 in the Vision Jet, there is always something new to learn - or re-learn!! Question....does one need to load the Navigraph Avionics Plugin G3000/G5000 from the Navigraph HUB when flying the Vision Jet? Does it supersede the G3000 in the Vision Jet and offer additional features and functionality? I have run through this video a few times, but don’t recall if you made mention of this!? I know (at least believe) I have seen this asked and answered in the past, but for the life of me I can't remember where and / or what the answer to that question was. Suffering from old man brain :-) By the way, I do have a Navigraph subscription (wouldn’t be without it).

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not 100% of this when running Navigraph on PC. I have the plugin installed, so it won't hurt to have it yourself ;)

    • @ArtG-49
      @ArtG-49 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have been running without it, but just did a flight with it and really didn't see anything different. If it was it was subtle and didn't appear to change what I was used to when NOT running it. Another one of lives little mysteries!

    Quick question. I use the Velocity One Yoke and peddles with Xbox X and encounter a very minor issue only with the Vision Jet. After starting the engine manually or starting with it already ready to go on the runway, the CHT/EGT red warning light comes on the V1F panel. I can't find anything wrong and see no warnings on the sim screens. Anyone know what that means or if there is a way to remedy it? No problems noticed in flight. Just that annoying red warning light.

    Another great video! I was wondering if you have ever thought about making a video on MSFS's weaknesses. I know it's never fun to dwell on the negative, but lately I've been pulling my hair out over things that I know should work but that aren't. For example, in the G1000 lately my ALTS (desired altitude settings) have failed to capture the desired altitude, flying welll over the setting in various scenarios including VNAV. This problem is not constant. Sometimes the plane flies just the way I want it to, then it completely fails. At other times the aircraft loses my GPS heading and the magenta heading indicator defaults to show a simple north-south orientation. What do you make of the many inconsistencies in Microsoft Flight Simulator?

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If I make any more detrimental videos on MSFS, Asobo will paint a big red target on my back 😁
      I will no doubt be doing so, in the future though.

      You can set custom views to get to the G3000 screens or use Left 'Ctrl' and the 1-0 keys on a keyboard to get to those views.

    The reason you weren't able to capture the localiser properly is because you did not have NAV mode selected when in heading mode, As soon as the FMS has captured the Locator you can press APR, no need to wait until the green diamond starts dropping, it will do it automatically

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can actually select approach mode, prior to capturing the localizer; it's just my own preference to wait until LOC is captured before activating APR mode.

      Hi @@Huddison , I don't own this product, yet, and was just wondering if it has Synthetic Vision option on the PFD because it doesn't in your video (great vid, btw! ). From watching a couple other videos featuring this FlightFX Vision Jet I see that it looks like it is available. Most, if not all by now, real world SF50s are running the Synthetic Vision just as we see all new(newer) Cirrus SR22s have. take care
