Notice how Difficulty 9.0 is extremely hard and devilish but the stage music (until Master things/Cruel Smash comes along) is still nice and cheerful.

I honestly found that 9.0 isn't too hard. (at least, once you get more accustomed to dealing with the AI of your opponents). But to do it with only ONE LIFE? This, is a vein-bulging furniture-punching, controller-smashing, profanity-screaming experience.
I can agree. Plus the amount of stage and item butt fuckery that cpus can unleash just because is so god damn infuriating.

ashton houran I mostly disagree. I think it's 80% luck due to how many things can go wrong just by chance. For example: Bad stage and fighter scenarios (a stage with too many hazards or a small stage with too many fighters on it or team battles where your ai teammates die), the ai perfect guarding too much, good items spawning next to ai, boss moves have tiny warning attack animations and don't have a set pattern.
Falshion i 100% agree. Luck luck luck. THE 1 V 1 parts take skill ill give the game that, but honestly, forced into a 8 free for all at luigis mansion... and they just will not fucking die and keep bouncing 200%hp inside the mansion and will not fly out the sides. Or 8 players on fucking animal crossing stage. I am so frustrated with this challenge I already broke my game pad screen. I force myself to not smash my wii. I dont know why I care so much about this stupid challenge but I swear I have come so close just to fail. Whenever I make it to master hand I get the worst attack patterns too and I choke so hard it makes me want to kill myself.

Yes, it involves luck, but come on. A unskilled player wouldn't be able to play 9.0 and beat it even with all the luck in the world. We say its luck because we are good enough ourselves, so the rest is luck

Tabuu was the OG Amiibo Collector before anybody ever was, his boss fight was so intense, dodging his off waves felt so satisfying and accomplishing
Brandon Williams ill always remember the first time i faced him, doing the campaign with my cousin, we fougth him and we were like what the hell this thing is imposible,too much health and hits too hard and those waves are imposible to avoid. But then i grew up and managed to solo kill him in legendary losing only one life and i was like meh this was harder when i was young. Still, hes one of the best final bosses ever

That's only possible if you use TAS because there is no way a human player can go unscathed in 9.0 Nothing Harder.
My easiest contender of lightweight in 3DS Classic 9.0 is Kirby with no customs; and i raised my score from 699k points to 764k points, i could've gotten a higher score but i lost a life on stage 5 vs Fighting Mii Team.

Clorox Bleach Nah cloud sucks on 3DS. But Bayonetta fucking is op because you can combo on the 3DS with her way easier. Cloud is too slow to combo.

I can’t commend you enough for accomplishing this, brother.👏🏽I only managed to beat Classic Mode at 9.0 difficulty in the 3DS version with Ike, and while the AI is a lot harder in the 3DS version, it’s a LOT more annoying and difficult to deal with in the WiiU version. Plus, you don’t have a giant fortress of death and despair to traverse through.

Well, Marth isn't "better". Lucina and Marth are around the same. Thing is, tipper is very unreliable, you can get a tipper even if you didn't want to, or miss a tipper when you clearly got a tipper. Lucina, in my opinion is better, because her consistent damage is stronger (I believe) than Marth's non-tipper.

OMG. This was SOOOOOOOOOO funny. I can't stop LAUGHING each time I see this video, especially how you sent Villager to the hospital like that, quite literally, lol! A VERY SIMILAR thing just happened to me with my brand new main for 2021, Sephiroth, lol in Palutena's Temple in its Omega Form this morning in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! I was up against Pokemon Trainer {female} and she sent out Squirtle. I struck him with a POWERFUL Smash Attack, sending him quite literally, into the coliseum! =D Okay, I was NOT expecting THAT to happen, but that's probably the most funniest thing I've ever done, especially with a DLC newcomer to date, lol! Yes, I have Ultimate and my new main is Sephiroth, the one-winged angel who I unlocked early on Sunday, December 20th, 2020 after I completed the Sephiroth Challenge on three difficulties backwards, starting at Very Hard, then Normal and finally Easy. I ditched Persona 5's Joker for him in five seconds flat as soon as the one-winged angel dropped and I haven't even TOUCHED my other ex-mains, Dark Pit, Falco or Blue Yoshi ever since the legendary angelic antagonist dropped and took this world by storm AND the spotlight away from Joker thanks to his EPIC Ultimate reveal trailer with that AWESOME red carpet debut! Sephiroth is also the ONLY newcomer to date who's gotten me 3002 Meteor Smashes, compared to Joker's puny 536.
When it was New Years' Eve and New Years' Day for 2021, I played the heck out of Sephiroth in both Smash Mode and Tourney Mode, celebrating his EPIC December 2020 release. Also, thanks to your video, it has GREATLY encouraged me to do Ultimate's 9.9. route, which I completed way back on Friday, August 2019 with my ex-main, Dark Pit, so I THANK YOU SO MUCH for putting this up and encouraging me to do my best! As a last note, I also listened to Crush 40's Knight of the Wind BEFORE attempting 9.9., taking a deep breath and calming myself down and having faith that I could do it and Knight of the Wind helped me pull through 9.9., even if I lost NUMEROUS tries and lost tons of money! But it was ALL worth it in the end! Thanks to your video, I've now gained the courage to attempt very difficult challenges, even if they're CRAZY HARD like the Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wi U's 9.0. challenge that you just attempted. GREAT JOB, BTW! This video was the VERY reason I attempted the 9.9. Challenge in Ultimate for the first time EVER even if I was afraid of completing the 9.0. challenge back in 3DS/Wii U, which NEVER happened, unfortunately. It's also thanks to this video that I completed the December 2020 Sephiroth Challenge with Bowser in all three difficulties for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!

I remember beating this challenge with Ganondorf with vampire and KO healing. Any other time, I would try to avoid Master Core's final attack, but after all the crap it took just to get to that point, the last thing I want to do is try to flex by dodge rolling through three insta-kill rings!

INTERESTING having high defense makes u heavy and less likely to b launched (master core fight) plus still healing so no problem, GOOD JOB i can finally beat that dang challenge thx :D

I like using the Fire Shot (good for mid-range damage), Dash Slash (good for horizontal recovery+taking out several Miis in 1 hit), Flying Fortress (good for recovery), and Bowser Bomb (good for hitting multiple opponents when you're stuck fighting 5-7 opponents.) I've used Auto-Healer and two Diamond Shells as my equipment for a long time, but I think I'm going to switch to using much more Attack and only a little Defense because Bowser is so heavy already, he won't be launched easily. The difference the equipment makes is often negligible because if the computer gets Dragoon or a Golden Hammer, you're screwed no matter what. But if you have more Attack power, you could end up finishing matches much quicker, before the RNG can screw you over. Plus, you really shouldn't be getting hit by any of the Master Core forms, but you need to do as much damage as you can to it quickly. My problem is even GETTING to Master Hand. Once I do, I'm pretty confident I can beat it without losing a life.

For me getting through the tournament is a peace of cake beating Master fortress it self is difficult
And this ladies and gentlemen is the luckiest play I have ever seen
I was scared that at the final battle during Master Core it was spawning so hard.
I remember the new kid Icarus for 3ds it was tough as heck on hard mode BUT preeetty rewarding if you did certain deals weapons and such where better too

I always lose at the master fortress part... then I win when there's no master fortress involved which is like losing 2 times if your difficulty is all the way to 9.0

Just a suggestion, stop depending so much on using Bowser's Side B to take out opponents because it makes you look inexperienced by just spamming that special attack and not relying on other moves. Sure that special attack is effective but my point is you have to be versatile.

Yeah, it's hard to get special moves. I'm slowly getting them. I usually do Target Blast,All-Star,Master Orders and maybe classic. IF your lucky in All-Star, you will get at least 1 new special move for the character you were using.
I could never beat that challenge, and while I do enjoy the scale of difficulty in this version of classic mode, the worst part about it is that you only get 2 lives no matter the difficulty and if the difficulty goes down by half after you lose all your lives, there is no way to make it go back up. I feel like they should've made an option where you could pay a little extra coins to make the difficulty go back up and keep your rewards. Seriously, what were the developers thinking?
