You answered my question!!! For the Sub I was thinking chocolate face and bezel with a stainless steel oyster bracelet similar to the Hulk. Love the old rootbeer but I already have the new one. I'll keep my fingers crossed 🤞
Thanks for asking. The chocolate dials we've seen have all been paired with warm precious metals so it would seem unlikely that Rolex would pair that colour with the cool tones of stainless steel. They did use brown ceramic for the bezel of the platinum Daytona, so anything is possible. 🤞
Wahey. You featured one of my comments 😍❤. Love you guys. Just asked an AD for a black sub. Moving to Dubai soon. If I buy I'd like to buy off you. I'll be in touch in the future.
Rolex fanboy to the core but I still found room for the Santos in my collection, "non-screws" notwithstanding. I don't have OCD tics. It would be a sad world for me if I didn't buy with my heart sometimes, Good Q and A, thanks!!
On the subject of unreleased watch combinations a Senna Formula one in full black ceramic with a 18k bezel (Lotus colours) would be perfection, the Oysterquartz reintroduced and a Submariner in 37mm “bluesy”
I have a 2021 Rolex OP Tiffany 41mm, full set inc original receipt. Am thinking of letting it go, how much would I expect to get for it now in current market?
@@bradderz179 just gotta get used to them but I do know what you mean, the way h aesthetic has changed massively. I've got an 80s Santos and a 60s Polerouter, modern watches feel 5 times bigger
@@bradderz179- 🤷🏻♂️ I own a few vintage watches and wear a couple of them, both Omega, daily. One is from the 1940s and the other from 1970 and there is no issue with wearing them, they often attract positive comments and as both have stories behind them they feel extra special. The other one that I don't wear is so insanely rare and valuable that I only wear it in the house and when it's not on my wrist it's in my safe!
ADs are crazy. I used to buy new Hulk 2014 James Cameron 2018 and non-date sub 2019 no issues from the Rolex shop. I think this AD false-created scarcity will kill the brand. Wait till the coming crash so many people will sell their rolexes cheap to pay a mortgage or a car
I think it’s quite crazy to think ADs will even “create” scarcity. Doesn’t make sense. They would want to sell as many as they can for money. So the only logical reason would be Rolex just isn’t producing as many as we think they are or the demand is still really strong.
@@singaporewatchcollector6262 considering most if not all ADs in the UK now also sell pre owned watches, it's not that crazy to think they are artificially limiting supply. Even before they sold pre owned. It was in their interet to limit supply so you had to increase your spend with them to get the watch you wanted.
If youre still paying off debts a rolex is probably not a great idea. Just my two chiquitas. Anyway cheaper after market for those who can afford it I guess
I’ve a 2002 GMT 2 master, 16710 , black bezel, oyster bracelet just had second approved roles service, should I keep it? I’ve been looking at a steel submariner date, ceramic. What do you think? Ive had it from new and have inner and outer boxes and all the contents it came with except stickers
Keep it, 5 digit Rolex sports models are becoming classics as the new 6 digit ones look and feel very different. As much as I like the new Subs with better bracelet and clasp, wouldn't be enough to sway me if I have the 16710.
Rolex often changes design details of their watches just for the sake of changing the design, and some of these changes are not as good as others. So you have to judge for yourself which designs are actually the better designs.
Question. Why does the SD 4K 116600 get so little attention when it’s better than a Sub. And do you think it will increase in value as it only had a 3 year production run. Love your videos. ❤
Demand keeps plummeting, Rolex is finally catching up to pandemic demand, and they have new factories getting completed so supply will increase dramatically. Not for all models however. Primarily precious metal and DJs.
Hulk doesn’t look that great when you wear it. Looks good the first time and then after that it’s too green and doesn’t really go with any clothing outfits particularly well…

I rocked up to the AD in Dubai airport 6 months ago and got a sky dweller. Last month they had 5 or 6 Rolex for sale - datejust and explorers.
Which Sky-Dweller did you get and how has it been so far?
Hulk is the most iconic submariner ever offered imo.

Thanks for tuning in and hitting us with your questions. Appreciate it 👊
If one is after a two tone piece, you have to go for the 126233 surely! It’s the epitome of what a Rolex or any watch for that matter should be.
Too small and far less desirable that a Submariner.
I like this Q&A style especially on giving honest ops on the different watches preferences.
Appreciate the feedback

Those suggestions sound more likely to come from Tudor than Rolex but that’s just a thought. Interesting ideas, thanks for sharing

I am interested if you are willing to sell
With the second hand market slowing down, i can see vintage watches becoming more and more desirable... and costly
Vintage watches are nice to own but not great to wear…

It’s crazy to think that AD’s used to struggle to sell the Hulk early on.

If to choose between gmt master 2 sprite with jubilee & submariner green ( Kermit ) - which one is more flashy & prestigious ?????
sprite 100%
I got a 23 bluesy sub , do you think i should swap it up for a 23 rootbeer or hold?

That’s a great question… but I think you can see the prices are already climbing… not too many SD4Ks available anymore …
Hes so happy about the Recession coming in, like hes super excited to be witnessing it.
Hey lads no mention of Gordon's goal last night?
Is Hendo still on the lash 🍻 🍻
Great show once again
That one happened after we filmed this one. Hendo’s whereabouts is strictly classified 🍻 Toon Toon!
Run the b-angle at a close up. The two angles Are the same.
Appreciate the feedback - we’ll look into it
I live in Dubai and it’s nearly impossible to get a sport Rolex from the AD including submariner. For GMT and Daytonas it’s Zero chance
The hulk - it’s more more interesting
It’s not an easy choice 🤔
I would totally trust purchasing a watch with your store, anyone here that wants a model and doesn’t want to wait….. call these blokes!
We appreciate the kind words
Thanks!
The more I learn about the Cartier Santos, the more I understand how many corners Richemont cut.
15 fousand for a root beer. That’s nuts…
Great video, good Q&A. Are there any current microbrands that you think may become the next big thing in the future??
Good question, we’ll have to answer this in the next one 👌
A grey market watch dealer telling people you won’t ever be able to talk into a Rolex store and buy whatever you want… What are the odds
😅😅😅
Enjoyable video guys
Glad to hear it Simon
Do all discontinued Rolex watches go up in value? 🤔
A lot of the professional models do. Not every discontinued watch that Rolex made will increase.
Majority

Rolex are smart and move carefully. I think you’re right, they have to strike the balance between availability and exclusivity for their customers.

How can there, there’s way more hulks then Pepsi
