Hi, I enjoyed your review, but the most important thing I didn't get to hear. When it compared to other bikes, the audio was poor. And you are very right, only adults drive Hayabusa. 😄😄😄😄. I am almost 50 years old, but the pleasure is great. My shocks are on hard because I want to feel the road. I'm also on the track very often. Save driving. Greetings Dido.

I rode my gen 1 hayabusa from Dublin to Sardinia Italy pretty much non stop and found it extremely comfortable no back ache. Feb 2010. Only fault i found was weak front break. Did everything but replace the caliper. Gen1 does need an upgrade if you are a medium to hard rider. I am mid 50's now and about to buy a gen2. I will buy many more hayabusa's all gens over the next few years
Found a new unused gen one 2003 with 102km on clock in a suzuki dealer.

They're great bikes, surprisingly agile with an immense engine, power and torque everywhere, and incredibly resilient to hard riding.

Thanks for the feedback. It takes a fair bit of time and effort to get the camera, microphone and external audio recorder setup, synchronised and editing all the footage on the PC. The wind noise will take a few more trial and error runs, you can hardly hear my voice.
Great to have the footage up on TH-cam, and will serve as fond memories in years to come.

Good bikes Gen 2's, Quite a rare colour your bike too!
I have owned a 2017 in all Black with the ABS and factory Brembo's, Also had a 4-2-1 Titanium system weighing 15KG less than standard and the bike was also remapped and de-restricted. Quick bike indeed.

22:11 that's where the Suzuki supplied toolkit is stored and that elastic is standard for holding it in place. BTW, what a road! I'll have to research that on mine lol. I actually live on the A68 at Toft Hill so will have a blast up there to do that A7 / A68 loop. Watching the speed cameras of course.

    Great review mate.
You seem quite knowledgable of the machine and how it works for somebody without much experience.
I also enjoyed the ride and how you don't give a fuck about hiding speeds, it makes for a much more fun viewing experience.
You now have another subscriber, ride safe and keep the content coming 👍

7 owners?? Nice! I’m trying to get a 2nd gen Hayabusa myself, and it’s great to see how well they can hold up when properly cared for. Shame most of the ones on the used market around here are so beat up and/or overpriced.

I've been re-watching this video over and over again for the past few days. You give such an immersive experience to the bike. Thank you.
I have a couple of questions.
Did you buy this bike new?
I think I heard you say this bike has been owned by seven different owners before? But for some reason I can't find that part anymore so I may have heard it all wrong.
I love this bike but I'll never be able to afford it brand new so do you have any guide on what to look for in buying a used Hayabusa?

    Dear Sir,
Many thanks for taking the time to upload your review: I really enjoyed watching it.
I'm seriously considering buying a used, low-mileage, 'nearly new', gen 2 Hyabusa - maybe on a 2014 plate onwards.
I want my purchase to last me a few years (unless, of course, I win the Lottery!), and will use it for long-distance tours around Europe maybe two or three times a year (so it will be doing 300 - 500 miles a day, between various towns and cities, at fast highway speeds, for three weeks at-a- time).
I'm a conscientious owner, and will make sure that it is regularly serviced.
Do you have any good advice for me when I'm looking at and sizing up used Hyabusas? Things I should ask the dealer about, etc..
Also, is there a limit on mileage that would put you off a used bike? For example, would a Hyabusa with 20,000 miles on the clock be a no-goer with you, or are the engines seriously that good?
Many thanks, and I hope to hear from you soon.
    Safe riding!
    Neil. :)

Seriously debating getting 2nd Gen. I generally commute to work and some touring. I know you can tour on anything, but what's your views on long distance tours with this bad boy?

    • @hayabusauk735
      @hayabusauk735  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

This spring/summer, I usually did around 250 miles per day (1 or 2 rides per week) i would be quite fatigued by the end of the day and always thought 'I wish the bars weren't so far away'.
The seat was comfy, footpegs a little high but nothing too drastic.
A hayabusa definitely wouldn't be my first choice for long distance touring but it is more comfortable than a full on sports bike. I tend to remember tolerating a few aches and pains, especially at slow speed around town, above 60mph the wind hits your chest and its less painful.

You will get tired very fast on those bikes: fatigue in your arms, hands and the neck, but your fatigue will be compensated by exhilarating moments ^_^ At the end of the day, you'll probably say "i want more" lol Also once you ride a Hayabusa, you probably will never want to ride anything else.

hey, i have exactly the same bike same coluour and everything, with like 12k miles on it, its a great machine. But one thing can't slip my mind is that when the engine is cold and i start it up then after like 30 seconds or so there is a rattling nois of Cam chain, and after another 30 sec to minute or so it goes away, and sounds normal again, is that normal? thx in advance.

Saying that this bike is uncomfortable for a longer journeys is a straight up lie. If YOUR wrists get hurt thats your problem and probably you have other health issues aswell. That bike is a great tourer for most people.
