Great question. You have to play on open areas. Use mobs density information to tell you where players have and haven’t been. Shooting fighters down via range and run when they get close enough to sprint. If you deal enough damage to them before they get close enough to sprint, they will run away. If they continue to charge , you all in them with your bow damage. They should only kill you if they catch you by surprise or if you miss your shots.
Cleric knows what’s up, i’ve had multiple moments with ranger where it turns from a fight to a shakedown LMAO. PDR fighter i was literally chasing through the whole map finds himself in a corner after tanking like 11 recurve shots and says “man you win. just kill me i won’t fight back anymore” and drops all his stuff . I told him gg and I let him keep his stuff, after taking blue i spectated him for a second and he just died to a spike trap anyway lmao
Can we get a ranger video in the Red Zone? I am trying to understand better this class and would apreciate some tips. You are a master, no one can teach better than you😎 7:09
It depends who your duo is. If you have a tank (Barb, Fighter, Cleric) then you want to go a build that hits hard (like this) because your weakness is movement speed and melee. If you have a duo who isn't a tank, you will need more movement speed to avoid dying to melee players that rush you down. (Which would look more like the build from the video that I posted yesterday about solo ranger goblin caves)
I don’t see a point to the spear over an arming sword? It seems to suck - like almost every time you use the spear you miss and would have done it way faster with a sword.
Spear is great with pve. Easily the best mob weapon. I used to like the arming sword but i’ve been playing the rapier a lot more now and prefer that over all of the others.
@@n3wgroundm0nkey I played the first few play tests as rogue and i’ve played a good amount of barb but I have the most fun playing Ranger. Whether it’s strong or not doesn’t matter to me. 😁

Update: so I played a few games of ranger, I'm up to wanderer 3 and I have decent kit and hitting my shots so I'll definitely play more of ranger

to ignore the utility of hunting traps is criminal as a ranger hehe
The amount of times my teammates have stepped in my traps and caused us to lose the fight has made me SWEAR them off. I’ll never use one again.
