If you wanna unlock the true potential of this build try taking a windlass as well, they're quite cheap. You put it in 1st weapon slot. You shoot it, switch to normal crossbow, shoot again, and then either reload if far or got to inventory & right click on spear to replace windlass. Also if you use true shot with this build you can greatly increase chance of hitting and can hit across a room with 100% accuracy (for stationary enemies). This is what I ran past month or so, it's super fun but does have drawbacks.
i dont understand this build. The crossbow is just a worse longbow, why not just run that? same damage drop off range, same damage, but the bow has more forgiveness
I don't get it, are people impressed by you killing nakeds? @5:20 you roll a grey kit and laugh. So amazing with BIS kit. Like do you really think this is good gameplay? Post again when you kill a gold kit barb or something jesus.
This video is about a different build. It highlights the versatility of the class and shows alternate builds that people have not used. It’s duos. Lobbies don’t fill with gold kits like trios. Also, are you conveniently forgetting the warlock wizard team? Or the Barb wizard team? They were both super kitted.

Well, the crossbow has armor pen, so it's better against fighters and clerics, but more importantly, it's different :)
And you don’t have to draw the crossbow for the initial shot as long as you don’t miss
Crossbow has no draw time either. Makes for easy 180 flicks
