I'm so new to this game, so this was great for me. It was funny, informative, and you two had good chemistry. I learned a lot and I didn't feel like it was a school lecture.

I haven't seen your other vids, incl. the fighter one, but this seems like a great video format so would be cool to see similar ones of the other classes. It's really valuable to see what the "top 10" demigods prioritize in their builds, and why.
Thanks! I think maybe I cut out the normal games and just ask about the class while in menu and then get into the HR game with the good player to teach me. Effectively cutting the video from 45 min to 20 min. What do you think?
I personally vibed with the norms but I understand wanting to make the videos shorter.
I think it depends on if you want the videos to become entirely informative/educational, or a mix of that and casual, high level gameplay.
The non-HR games weren't just a distraction either, as they also showed how you guys deal with PvP in a casual environment, which I'm sure could be useful to some.@@thedarkharvester

Well I’m glad I watched this for sure, your ranger guide tbh was aimed towards duo an trio. I played your style an was finding myself getting caught out by everything but pdr fighter. Ty this helped me re stat prior an skills for solo.
I’m excited to try out solos more. I’ve only played a handful of games. You’re definitely right, I should’ve been more clear about having most of my time in duos!

I think length is not a problem at all especially for what youre trying to do. I like your approach in asking a great player to break down his game style ect

Good content. I also play an agi ranger. I usually bring in survial bow or recurve in solos, it's nice to see the comparison between the builds.
How have your survival bow games gone? I just don’t see how it’s good. I feel like it TICKLES
Haha it does if you don't stack phys. I actually prefer survival bow in solos because you draw so fast you don't need Dex. STR and AGI are the only stats i build with SB, Its very much of a kiting strat where you need space. Also part of my strategy with this build is lots of traps, I have what I call are "reset points" which is essentially a place I can back up to if I'm being chased that people wouldnt usually check if its trapped. I like how he broke down the true phys Stat, this will help me build my next set. The major drawbacks to my survival bow build is multiple threats and spawn rushes are your biggest weaknesses. I'd love to go into more detail about my specific playstyle if you have the time.

Nice man. I like your build for team fights, and his for solo. I know that's what you guys agree on, but yeah that's my vote as well.
Great video, cant wait for the next one. Would be great if you can test how much further you can hear with the ear perk exactly. I play a lot of commons (white gear) with friends, find the fights more fair and I can still accomplish all quests. Would be great if you could show how would you kit for a whites only lobby. I play 40 dmg longbow and arming sword, orc + riveted + padded to reach 15 strength and hit harder, and combine with lightfoot boots and loose trousers for some speed, and vigor headpiece. I guess you would go for 17 STR with boots and +2 dex with pants instead?
Great ideas. I have thought about testing the hearing perk with a teammate and seeing the distance difference with and without it but I haven’t thought of doing a normals kit video. I’ll get on that!

Shotgun is insane when it hits, with the servers the way they are at the moment I feel like I can't run it in BiS, may as well pull the spear, if a little lag delays it coming out and its to the right or left of a rogue for example you miss every shot and wont have time to pull a melee or anything. I wish the cone was a little tighter personally.
Yeah, the rubber banding is annoying. I haven't been playing HR much because of making this content. I am like 2 games from demigod. I don't even know exactly what kit I want to use for these last games.
I recently went from Longbow/Spear
Now I use Recurve and Arming sword. No dual wield.
Stack agility and movement speed.
Can side strafe and step back out of so many attacks because of movement speed.
That’s awesome! Cant wait to try out the play style more myself. I was running so much spear but only for chessing in hell. It’s so good with pve. Probably not worth running though because you just won’t use it often in pvp

I didn't even notice. I wonder if it's a skin or color settings. I know that wardens in the discord get green torch skins. Great question.

15:09 for perks. He runs recurve bow, movespeed build, quickfire, quickshot.

@@rainbowdashIBP Loose trousers and ranger hood for agility. Lightfoots for max move speed. doublet for dex. Rawhide gloves for hp. dex cape and agi rings with additional or true dmg 😁

Not trying to knock on it too much. I appreciate this as a ranger player I suck. But it reminds me of my friends in league trying to say well this or that is broken and I roll my eyes and say sure, mainly because they don't know how to play or counter lol

In game volume too loud. Also you keep asking him questions, then you ask him another question before he has finished answering the first. "Do you have a stat prio?". "So I get 305 movespeed first....". Next question, very annoying
You’re right! I just don’t know the optimal length of these videos and with all of the cutting and editing, it still came out to an hour. That’s my fault. I will do better with allowing them to answer fully. Thanks for bringing it up.
In game volume was great. Good organic questions being asked... could tell you both got along great so nothing was awkward in my own opinion. Good work.

Im more surprised that anyone could be surprised at the very obvious ranger meta. Im not quite sure how anyone could think aggressive longbow is a thing. Every class is pretty much trying to max the same stat as well... But hey at least you're not one of the ultra braindead field ration users lol.

@@thedarkharvester Honestly i think ranger is viable with most setups. The class is too broken in solo. but there is a big difference from "viable" and Meta. Agressive longbow is pretty weak comparably. Defensive longbow is not even that good. Recurve is king, and survival is really strong if you know how to kite unlike 95% of ranger players.
Barbarian was/is stupidly op in general. Pre patch at least i didnt play for a few days. But going slow, and hard hitting barb works, but its not nearly as op as MS stacking barb, with viking sword + felling and a bunch of franciscas. There's meta, and there is viable :)
@@Pvt-Lenny I actually bring longbow and survival bow. It allows me to deal with a multitude of situations while utilizing my perks with both weapons. I run shotgun and quick shot. I still play hyper aggressive. Around 302 move speed, hitting 130 dmg on longbow and bringing crippling shot for survival bow. I have been very successful in high level play. And recurve Rangers hardest counter is longbow. Especially on ruins which is where the majority of PvP is currently.
@@thedarkharvester Yea bringing a longbow along can be viable, i just cant be bothered if i get rushed by a rogue and i have the wrong bow out.
The MS i usually hit on my ranger builds is 339-340 with the hands out. Really speed focused. WIth quickfire + quickshot oneshot combo. Its just superior.
@@Pvt-Lenny I one shot rogues with shotgun. I also run tracking for that reason. However, it sounds like you are only referring to solo play. Your build is great in solos. But it’s not the optimal build for duos and certainly not trios. You want to hit like a truck. Bringing a windlass along with your primary and secondly is the play. Initiate with 196 damage headshot, swap weapons before reloading and win the team fight. Out of curiosity, how many games played do you have and what’s your k/d?

Solo Ranger requires a lot of skill. You should watch vincent play. he will pvp the entire lobby and fight teamers.
