There used to be a Sbarro at the Woodbridge mall, but I think it's gone. At least, I don't remember seeing it last time I was there.
Then again, all of the restaurants were either gone, temporarily shut down, or only offering take-out, so it might still be there but just currently under lockdown until indoor dining is available again. If it makes you feel better, Roman Pizza looked like it was shut down as well.

Yeah, that was me. I got Perfect Weapon as part of a bundle of games my cousin got for me for both my birthday and Christmas. Thankfully, everything else she included was worth the pain, but it was all (many years) later stolen by my father's recent ex girlfriend.
I'm just happy Vinny got farther than I did.

Yeah that purple section ought to be the opposite mirror's reflection but its just colored in like the wall. Perhaps it conceals her true form.
Vinny talking about the garbage games that kids could have gotten for Christmas just reminded me of a few disappointing holidays.
My family had a knack for acquiring last-gen gaming consoles from family members and we would often inherit their [small] library of games, because none of us had much money.
Anyway.
My mom would never buy one big game for us. She would always go to the gamestop bargain bin and buy 5$ demo discs and things none of us had ever heard of. Half of them didn't work and the other half just played like garbage. On the off-chance you found a game you liked, it was on a demo disk, so you couldn't. Do anything.
I think she assumed all demo discs were like the Zelda Collection that came out for Gamecube (the 4 other games + the Wind Waker demo). Which. They aren't.
So imagine having a game library but the game library is 90% demo discs that don't work and games that are generally bad.
There were a lot of good demo discs for the PS1 though. My experience was that for every actual full game my friends had, they had 3 demo discs.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio I'm sure there were, but most of the demos we got didn't match the minimal library we had, and it's kind of a disappointing Christmas when you open up a box to find it full of videogames, but literally every disc is a demo disc, and nothing else.
So, again, I'm sure there were good ones, but my experience was a lot of bad stuff and a lot of not getting a full experience anyway.
Thats why i just used to ask my parents what i wanted for christmas
@@vishaal1232 Not everyone is able to afford what they want all the time. They probably bought a bunch of cheap used demo discs because they didn't have the money for very many full-priced games.

Man PS1 Games and their polygonal graphics and choppy animations have a certain special charm that takes you back to the late 90s and early 2000s I hope we get more of these bad/curioso packs also I love Vinny’s Voice so much!❤️

People give Nintendo flak for shovelware but PS1 and PS2 had their fair share, being cheaper and easier to develop for.

Miracle Space Race was formerly Merlin Racing on Nuon, to give you some idea of its dismal pedigree and why the levels are corridors. Nuon couldn't render much more onscreen than that. Merlin Racing did have more varied tracks though, wonder why they were cut.

OH GOD what the hell. I HAVE the Mary kate and ashley PS1 game sitting in my closet somewhere. It became an inside joke between me and my friends, everytime we'd see it we'd laugh our asses off. Needless to say we lost our shit when we saw this stream.
Maybe I'm just tired but the music on that first track in Miracle Space Race actually sounded pretty good.

I played that Mortal Kombat Special Forces game a lot as a kid, and remember having very fond memories of it, despite only barely ever making it past the first boss and not getting much further. Maybe I'll get it again for my PS2 eventually to see if it still holds up to my childhood nostalgia.
OH MY GOSH, I'm not kidding when I say that I've been trying to figure out the name of Killing Zone for years because my brother and I loved playing it as kids, and I just randomly thought about it one day but couldn't find it. As soon as I saw the werewolf, I realized that this was our childhood game! It was a pretty rinse and repeat game, but we had a lot of fun with it. I'm really happy to see it again, even if it's on the awful PS1 games showcase.
I don't see why Nickelodeon looked at a character designed specifically to be an easily hateable brat and said "Hey, that's marketable, let's push that."

There should be a name for whatever genre games like Perfect Weapon and Quite Soulless fall into. The unique approach to camera design, the meandering, directionless levels and the way everything seems to be a sick parody stitched together from pieces of our reality. Have you ever had a nightmare about a video game where you're stuck on one level, not because it's too hard but because it just doesn't end and no matter how far you go it all looks the same? That's basically what they are.
I propose the name nightgamares, because they're essentially nightmares made real but with a small amount of game mashed into the middle.

The PlayStation version apparently isn't awful, but I had the PC port and I think it was broken. There's one place where the path in the... overworld? ...branches in two and both halves turned out to be dead ends, even after completing every level in both.
I didn't know they released PS1 games as late as 2003. I figured that ship had sailed around the end of 2001 at the latest...
EDIT: I say this as I own a copy of C-12 Final Resistance, which was from 2002 😄
Software releases don't just stop once the new console comes out, especially since it takes time for people to buy the new console. The PS3 got releases for several years after the PS4 was out.
@@Cyber_Akuma Oh, I know. I just never really thought about it back in the day. I definitely started to take notice during the PS2's later years, though.
@@Cyber_Akuma That's because no one was buying the PS4 (and XBox One) because almost all the games were garbage. During that time most developers had a "graphics over gameplay" mentality. Seriously, it took almost three years for those consoles to get a decent library of good games.
@@markhenderson9507 The PS4/Xbone launch lineups are considered some of the best. This wasn't exclusive to the PS3, just about all consoles keep getting releases a few years into the next gen. Most people don't just instantly buy the new console, and there are still millions who have the older console.
@@Cyber_Akuma Almost all the time, game dev support for a console stops almost immediately when a new one comes out unless it's backwards compatible.
As for the PS4 and XBox One launch titles, which ones were good? I've never heard anyone raving about any of them.

Fun fact that Rugrats game was originally on the Game Boy Color (2000) but the PlayStation version of the game followed in 2001. As far as I can tell (from what I remember growing up w that being my favorite game) the games are the exact same and the only change is about the fact its 3D character models :p

Vinny mentioning Michael Jackson when during the Killing Zone segment of the video was pretty interesting. Michael Jackson's name also appears at the credits of Twisted Metal 2 as the director of one of the developer teams. Either it's an odd joke or there exists another human that shares the exact name of the man himself.
I'm sure there are some other people that share the same name as the guy, though they will never be as famous as the one everyone calls the King of Pop.

I have sadly beaten Perfect weapon and honestly, it's not that bad when you get the controls and combos down. The most annoying thing about it is that there's areas that spawn infinite amount of enemies in certain levels but you just have to speedrun through them
I remember playing Miracle Space Race when I was a kid because I had nothing else to play. It was the worst PS1 racing game I've ever played. Not only it has no special mechanism and boring design, It has the clunkiest control of all racing games I kept banging myself into the wall.
