Absolutely loving this new Cunard ship! A fresh diversion but still incredibly rich looking with nods to the past .. the vintage martini bar looking chart room is exceptional. The commodore club is outstanding and can’t wait to spend time in there. Having sailed on Cunard 4 times now our 5th coming up we are so excited to experience this new look.
Thank you for this! We are getting married on her in December and this is the first time I’ve seen the room we’re getting married in and it’s made me very emotional! Great video and very excited!
She looks much better than the artist impressions, I think the ship still has that Cunard style but, with a modern twist. Can’t until our cruise on her next year.
Thank You for this wonderful and amazing video! Beautiful photography and gorgeous colours!👍 I’m booked to be on Queen Anne’s Transatlantic Maiden Voyage in January 2025. It will be the culmination of a dream l had since being a young boy . Transatlantic maiden voyage on Cunard. That only happens rarely. About a dozen times since 1907 ? I’ve traveled on the other three Queens and love the classic Cunard “ Art Deco “ style and sophistication! The new modern decor of Queen Anne , is definitely shocking and more of a “ Celebrity “ vibe as you point out!! I’m still going on my Maiden Voyage and will have a fantastic experience. BUT after that, I think I will be sticking with the Mary , Victoria and Elizabeth in the future !!! MikeW.
Thanks for your kind comment Michael. She is an incredible ship! Whilst onboard, we managed to have a chat with our friend, Stephen Payne who was the naval architect of Queen Mary 2. Whilst he recognised big differences with the other Cunard sisters, he was generally very impressed with the finish of her interiors and what she can offer cruises. Difference is not always a bad thing :) We hope you enjoy her as much as we did!
Lovely footage, guys. We got a real sense of the layout and space of Queen Anne. Thanks for the tour. We are having our first taste of Cunard this month on QM2. This video has whetted our appetite!
Let's see how much sense of space there is when fully occupied.... There are 1000+ extra passengers. This will not be helped by a lot of space taken by speciality venues......
On the day after my birthday in June I will be sailing on her. My first Cunard trip since crossing the Atlantic in 1983 aboard QE2. Just over 5 weeks to wait....
Wow amazing 🙌🙌🙌 well done for getting such a fantastic & information guide to Cunard’s Queen Anne. Even more impressive that it is of such high quality and the ship hasn’t even been launched yet, you must have worked very hard to publish it so quickly. Many thanks 🙏
Hi Gents, the other B here. Stunning tour and the music was so dramatic at the end I felt like I’d just watched a spectacular film! ❤ I can’t wait to get onboard and the pavilion cafe looks a bit of me (maybe not Tom) 😂 I do have a question for you, did you notice if the gym had a free weights section at all? She's looking absolutely beautiful - it's just so great to see how Cunard have brought such consistency to this new ship. I'd been worried a brand new ship wouldn't feel like Cunard, but it looks like they've done a wonderful job of this ship!
Thanks for the video, as you say, she's absolutely stunning. Every space looks amazing, but the Grills Terrace and new Commodore Club will probably be my favourite places to visit when I get on board...not to mention the Golden Lion Pub!
Excellent ship tour, very comprehensive and stunning images. Packed full of useful information and some context to where the Cunard brand is headed. The ship itself is beyond beautiful, very luxurious and elegant. We have never cruised with Cunard before, perhaps unconsciously steering away from it thinking it is old fashioned but after seeing this video we are definitely going to sail on Queen Anne in the future. Thank you 👏
Thanks for watching. An incredible ship. We think that it's a good thing that she's a little different to the other Cunard sisters, while still feeling like a Cunard Queen.
@@sailawaymag I recently watched Carol & Paul's room tour are thought it looked really dated for a brand new ship, but the interior ship design looks pretty timeless, and classy. Hope you two are treated to a few cocktails from Cunard for such a great promotion!
Absolute Kudos to you guys 👏for putting this together, and posting it out so rapidly AND still maintaining high production values in filming, editing, and music track 🎬👏 You mention that it evokes/emulates Celebrity cruises in style/design/features, but we also got a Holland America vibe from what you showed us. In either case, QA will certainly be attracting a booking from us in the future.
Thanks for watching and for you lovely comment! It certainly has some Holland America vibes, but we find HAL ships a bit understated in their decor and elegance, whereas Celebrity are a bit more glitzy and appealing to a younger crowd. But both are smashing cruise lines, and we think that QA is a cracking ship! Time will tell if Cunard loyalists agree ;)

Dear @adoody28ify I agree with you 100% !! I’ve been a huge Cunard fan for decades. Sailed on Mary,Victoria and Elizabeth ! Each is pure Cunard classic class ! Beautiful warm wood panelling, etched glass and polished metals. Grand paintings and majestic lighting fixtures! Queen Anne has none of these qualities. The furniture ( tables and chairs) look like 1970’s food court. Tacky! The Queen’s Room is hideous! The round ball lights hanging from the ceiling look like their out of a 1980’s Disco. Where’s John Travolta when you need him ? Colours all clash. No harmony. Purple and Pumpkin Orange chairs side by side ?? Really Cunard? Compared to the carpets on Queen Victoria and Elizabeth, the carpets used on Anne are strangely busy and strange. And to all those that will undoubtedly troll this message with “ You’ve got to keep up with the future tastes and appeal to the young people “ yada yada yada !!🙄 All I can say is the youngsters can joyfully keep this tacky garbage ,🤷♂️ Give me class , beauty , elegance and style every time!! Here I come Mary,Victoria and Elizabeth ❤️😉☺️. MikeW.
As a strong cunarder myself, your reply couldn't be better, totally agree. The QA has a joke promenade deck, this is also a major major mistake, the promenade decks on cunard ships are a trademark and extremely important. I've got 2 cruises booked on the Anne, hope I don't regret it.!!
I agree. Its just a sad reality that as society detoriates from deference and grandeur, the love of all things regal and fine in society isn't present. I will say, the pool areas and surrounding tile are fantastic, but agree that the restaurants and overall design certainly don't remind you of classic Cunard and sailing of years past.
My other replies are carbon copy of your reply. I'll go and try as Anne might be better than expected, our destinations itinary are good but I have a feeling this will be our first and last on the Anne.
She is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing this exquisite video. I’m not sure having watched this 3 times now that I think a couple of times it was said it’s appealing to younger people…I personally think that Cunard appeals to all people that appreciate the finer things and enjoy glamorous evenings and quiet luxury. Also in your video it was mentioned a couple of times about it being like celebrity? I’m not sure why you would want to put Cunard and celebrity into a video narrating that. I think your video was stunning and thank you for the quality of the video.
Thank you, she looks amazing, can’t wait for my cruise later this year. Would like to know how much spa passes will be for that thermal spa. I’m also hoping they have a decent vegan menu onboard.
We didn't ask, but when we've used the spa on Cunard ships in the past, they are usually around $50pp per day. I would image that would be the case on Queen Anne. I think you will be fine on QA when it comes to dietary matters. Lots of choice :)
She is absolutely stunning ❤. Thank you for the lovely ship tour 😊. I’m not sailing on her until 2026 but am already beyond excited 😂😂. Just a quick question, some reviews I’ve seen today mention that the Queens Room seems/ feels smaller than on her sisters?
Queen Anne is both contemporary and, at the same time, familar some will not like it. But most will probably still consider it Cunard (including Me). The question Cunard order a sister to Queen Anne? And will QM2, QV, and QE recived the same resturants as QA?
My feeling looking at this ship is it seems like a Cunard-ized HAL ship. Now, how much of the Cunardization of it is in the character of Cunard, but modernized. Is it what the original QE2 decor did for Cunard or at least somewhat in that spirit? Or is it a more superficial thing? What saves this ship vs. other contemporary ship is that the designers didn't go overboard with neutrals and grays/beige and pops of color that is NCL Pirma and Celebrity Edge and to some degree Star Princess and others. There's actual use of darker colors and richer colors. There's actually some evocation of period styles in some details. Is it enough? What do long-time Cunard pax think? The filming is very high quality with nice lighting.
I'm very keen to know what the naysayers think of the decor now that they've seen it for real. I for one though am keen to get back in the Golden Lion Pub soon and sample their fish and chips.
Very reminiscent of the current HAL Rotterdam. The ship looks very elegant but it also looks sort of cramped and dark. Unlike the newer Celebrity (or even Princess) ships, it doesn’t look like it gets a lot of natural light on many decks.
It is very inward facing, you are right. Many Celebrity ships our outwards facing, particularly Edge-class. However the decor, design and the introduction of certain venues like the Wellness Café and the expansion of the Grills Terrace indicates that Cunard know their competition, and that they are trying to appeal to a younger demographic. We're big fans of all the Cunard ships, but Queen Anne is very special and we can't wait to sail on her.
@@sailawaymag The Edge class ships, IMO, are so overrated and lacking in Celebrity personality. They follow that gray/beige "contemporary" style which basically is trendy for now. Cunard does much better keeping some vibrant colors and darker hues. It's warmer, richer and this ship has the evocative qualities of previous periods that Celebrity usually has but missed on the Edge ships. I think the Edge ships are inner as well. The Martini bar is sunken into a lobby and the Club is a dark space. The more open area is Eden. There's no type of observation lounge on them with big ocean views. The natural light areas on the Edge ships are mostly in restaurants, not so much the public venues outside of Eden.
I'm wondering how she would be looked like if she had the original old cunard livery and interior style like the old Queens, Qm2, QV, QE, but she's pretty with that too 😊
Cunard throughout their history have always upset traditionalists, QE2 for example wasn't widely excepted when she first came into service. Even the Queen Mary with her Art Deco looks shocked many people.
No, we just really rate the ship. Wouldn't say it was perfect, but this is a tour not a review. We'll do a review when we sail on her in December. If you don't think we're critical enough, I'd suggest watching some of our other videos - you'll soon learn that we're not scared of being critical when required.
Where on earth do you get the idea that you have to mortgage your house to afford a cocktail on a Cunard ship? I have been on many Cunard cruises and always thought, and so does my wife, that the cocktails are equivalent in price to land based hotels and many British pubs. The bottled beers are comparable with land based establishments and cheaper than many hotels.
We've only ever paid $18 for a cocktail on two cruise lines, Celebrity and Cunard. Try some other cruise lines and you'll realise that drink prices are expensive. Experience, that's "where on earth" we get our idea from :)
I keep hearing the phrase “….. a( nother) extra charge venue…..”, and “excellent drinks even if you need to take out a second mortgage to afford them”, and something to the effect of ……“and clean out your wallet” while describing the shopping galleries.
Loving the commentary , you will have to remortgage your house to pay for the drinks , a fool and his money are soon departed , pack them in like sardines , dull interiors .
@@sailawaymag Looks dull and boring , rather like going to a shopping centre trying to fleece money out of pockets ,crowds of people crammed onto one ship ,only my opinion , such dull interiors , like a residential care home .
It's interesting that during this video you mention Celebrity several times. If I want to cruise with Celebrity, I'll book with them. My first impression watching this is that Cunard has lost its way a little and gone is the true Cunard feel and some of the furniture looks distinctly uncomfortable. Whilst these changes might encourage new and younger cruisers, I suspect they will still go with the other less formal lines, and this ship will become an outlier in the Cunard fleet with traditional Cunard passengers choosing one of the other vessels. I hope I'm wrong and will find out later in the year when I we cruise to the med onboard, but, on the basis of what I've seen so far, I'm not as blown away as many are.
And ironically it reminds me of the older Celebrity ships, from the Solstice class; not the more innovative Edge-class. As a “younger” person I don’t find the ship that appealing and I don’t think my “younger” clients will either. It’s very elegant in many ways but there’s still something about it that reads as “old and stuffy”. I think it’s all of the dark blues etc. And I personally do not enjoy ships that don’t get lots of natural light. You’re right: will be interesting to see if the loyal Cunarders take to this ship. I hope so because I don’t think they quite hit the mark in terms of attracting a younger demographic.
@@PiaAdora I disagree with you ... I think that this ship is forward in going vintage and moody colours. The young discerning absolutely appreciate the pure luxury and vintage edge to it. Those young that do not will go to cancun vacations or cruise ships that have a here today gone tomorrow 'vibe. You are not giving the discerning younger people credit for their tastes.
Clearly Cunard have to budget for the demise of their loyal demographic….the 30’s and 40’s have to be the new target customer. I’m a fan of the traditional ships ,but when you are investing 100’s of millions into a venture , the bottom line is what it’s all about . I look forward to joining her on the 10th of May …but I’ve got a 2 week fix of Queen Mary to look forward to later in the year . Happy days .
Thank you for the video. As an avid Cunarder I'm not especially impressed with any of it. It's nice but just not Cunard or anything like it. I am on board in July/August and feel no excitement to join throngs of nearly 3 K fellow passengers fighting for the last crumb of artesian sourdough.....
Just sailed her for 14 days. She's a nice ship and she's clean - hard stop. There is no wow factor, the crew is mediocre, as is much of the entertainment. Some of the singing duos were good, but the production shows were awful. The crew in the buffet has either not been trained or has been poorly trained. The food in the buffet was mediocre, at best, and food safety does not seem to have been a training discussion. In the casino, the blackjack rules are horrible and the supervising staff are unfriendly. This was my first and only cruise with Cunard. I was wholly unimpressed.
First negative comment I know but it's all a bit too... P&O. Or MSC. I'm not getting sumptuous vibes like the trio gives, I'm getting wannabe vibes. Imitation vibes. Like the whole Traditional aspect has been watered down. Like someone asked a bunch of Homeopaths to capture the essence of Cunard. There's reinvigorating a design for a new audience, and then there's washing it away altogether. If you put photos of the QA's Britannia MDR next to the Iona's MDR and asked people to tell the difference, I doubt most untrained people could. And that's not the point of Cunard. Cunard is supposed to be special. It's supposed to be a waygu steak. This just.... Isn't
Hopefully the clientele will still be the same,we left P&O many moons ago because of that exactly, hopefully Cunard will remain a class above the rest 🤞
Agree entirely. It looks very Arvia/iona. Both I and my wife were underwhelmed with what we’ve seen on QA so far. Like many we left P&O specifically because it went down market and Cunard still had the old standards we value. The prospect of Cunard chasing younger less discerning cruisers fills us with horror. We’re due to go on QA for Queen’s Grill experience in October. Minded not to leave the cabin! At the moment inclined to stick to The other Queens. Anyone know of any alternatives to Cunard that offer traditional cruising?
Very disappointing - it’s not hard to see they were cutting costs - none of the classy, classic, sumptuous interiors of the other Cunarders, this could be just another modern Celebrity ship - sad!
Never said it looks like a Celebrity cruise ship. We said that there are elements which are more Celebrity than traditional Cunard - like the wellness Café and parts of her contemporary interior design. Glad you had a good time on Celebrity :)
A pity the ship is made in Italy and not the UK and staffed with cheap labour. It just looks like a DFS Furniture showroom to me. You would have thought you'd have at least one room reminiscent of the old ocean liners....not just charmless carpeted canteens that resemble IKEA restaurant
If you watch our other videos, you'd realise we're not a "puff" piece for anyone. Usually we get a hard time for being too critical. This is just a great ship, sorry about that :)

Beauty! Nothing will be the QM2 though.
Thanks for watching :)
My gosh, this is so much classier than those vile floating petri dishes called 'cruise ships'. What a stunner is the new QUEEN ANNE!
Not quite sure what you mean by petri dishes, this ship still has passengers and crew on like any other ship. But thanks for watching.
Ease go on other cunard ships first, queen Anne is a big departure from cunard
I'm wondering how she would be looked like if she had the original old cunard livery and interior style like the old Queens, Qm2, QV, QE, but she's pretty with that too 😊
She really is stunning! 🛳️🤩
@@sailawaymag And if she have a sister ship, with the name Queen Charlotte , Qm2, QV, QE, QA, QC
If she have a sister ship Queen Charlotte 🌟🌟✨️✨️ Qm2, QV, QE, QA, QC,
Cunard throughout their history have always upset traditionalists, QE2 for example wasn't widely excepted when she first came into service. Even the Queen Mary with her Art Deco looks shocked many people.
Lovely video, but it comes across as a Cunard PR piece. Is this the perfect ship then?
No, we just really rate the ship. Wouldn't say it was perfect, but this is a tour not a review. We'll do a review when we sail on her in December. If you don't think we're critical enough, I'd suggest watching some of our other videos - you'll soon learn that we're not scared of being critical when required.
Thank you for posting this video. Very well made and much appreciated. I hate this ship.
Oh, what do you hate about it?
I would rather stick pins in my eyes than go on a celebrity cruise
Sounds like a bit of an exaggeration
She really looks fabulous. She puts the QM2 in the shade based on the interior decor.
Big fan of Queen Mary 2 - but Queen Anne is undeniably stunning.
I keep hearing the phrase “….. a( nother) extra charge venue…..”, and “excellent drinks even if you need to take out a second mortgage to afford them”, and something to the effect of ……“and clean out your wallet” while describing the shopping galleries.
how much CO2?
We haven’t measured yet!
It's a pity that the Queen Anne didn't command the Queens English, although he smarten up towards the end.
Why does cunnard always make the Britannia dining room more grandeur than Princess and Queens dining room. it's so weird
Loving the commentary , you will have to remortgage your house to pay for the drinks , a fool and his money are soon departed , pack them in like sardines , dull interiors .
What do you mean?
@@sailawaymag Looks dull and boring , rather like going to a shopping centre trying to fleece money out of pockets ,crowds of people crammed onto one ship ,only my opinion , such dull interiors , like a residential care home .
Looks very nice but so much "extra charge"
@@PiaAdora I get that Cunard are trying to attract a younger crowd, but how on earth will they ever afford the bar prices.
Just booked to day 19 nights in sep 2026 going to beat this year on p&0
Wow! That will be amazing! Hope you have a great time, she's worth the wait!
Thanks so much for watching! Look forward to your holiday and keep an open mind. You may just enjoy it :)
Thanks for the video. Absolutely not impressed with what I get to see from the new Queen Anne. Rather mediocre really. Could also be a new Costa-ship.
I was wholly unimpressed.
i thought there was a cost of living crisis, seems not,
What’s the point here?
Not one of the best cruises we have been on.
You forgot Carnival has owned them since 2011…Carnival bean counters call the shots EVERYWHERE…
Carnival purchased Cunard in 1998. One of the first things they did was commission the building of QM2, hardly the act of bean counters.
@@andycrawford8110 it takes time..that was when LP took over and Micky kept true to the original product…Micky left and the bean counters took over..
Why should everything stay the same? Love this new change
No traditional Promenade Deck. Shameful.
No thank you.
What don't you like about it?
Looks nothing like a celebrity cruise ship went on one this year was worst cruise i ever went on buffet food was terrible
This is a puff piece for cunard.
If you watch our other videos, you'd realise we're not a "puff" piece for anyone. Usually we get a hard time for being too critical. This is just a great ship, sorry about that :)
