    Great work! Thank you for painting pipes, half way on the video I was gonna comment these guys better not to be plumbers with all those nasty drips from primer 😄

    Thanks for the video... I have to do one this week. But a couple questions:
    How did you get the pressure gauge to line up after lid was tight, and why did you go back to a push/pull valve rather than a multi-port?

    • @ePoolSupply
      @ePoolSupply  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for your comment! To get the lid to align, we did that before putting it on the filter. It took a couple of tries to get it right but we found out it matters where you start turning the lid on to start to get it to align correctly. As far as the valve goes, the customer wanted the push pull valve and did not want a multiport valve so that was the reason for doing that. Otherwise we do highly suggest using a multiport valve over the original push-pull.

      Thank you for your time! I thought maybe the positioning would have played a factor for sure. And to the valve, understand!

    Question. Actually I'm planning to remove just the top lid of the sand filter? Do I need to drain the water before I can remove the lid? Thanks

      Yes, unless you want to get wet. Hope this helps!

      @@ePoolSupply I’m new to this do you mean from the drain at the bottom of the filter? Or can I turn off the pump/filter and put it on the backwash setting

    Air is coming out of the filter in/out area. It is hand tight. How do I trouble shoot this issue?

    • @ePoolSupply
      @ePoolSupply  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, it's possible there may be an issue with the Push-Pull valve if you have one installed there. Also, you could have a bad O-ring where the plumbing meets the in/out area, unions typically have them. Hard to tell without physically being there. Hope this helps!

    Hi Guys just came across your video thanks a lot. I have a water loss problem when the pump / filter are running. In the pressure gauge I have zero although there seems to be water coming out from the small outlets in the pool and the cascade is running but when I start the system it consumes around 100 liters per hour (I have a 50 cubic meter pool) do you have any ideas what might be the cause

    • @ePoolSupply
      @ePoolSupply  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You could possibly have a under ground leak in one of the lines. You might want to consider having a leak detection service come out to check.

    I have a 20 year old TR100 and have a slight leak at the bulkhead inlet (top one). Orherwise it's working well and the water is crystal clear. If I do replace do you recommend sand or cartridge filter? Thanks!

    • @ePoolSupply
      @ePoolSupply  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there Paul, in our opinion, we would recommend the cartridge-style filter over the sand for better flow and water clarity. Less strain on your pump as well. Hope this helps!

      @@ePoolSupply What brand/model of cartridge-style would you recommend for a 25K gallon pool? I have a big Aquacal heater, so flow rate was a concern for me as well. Everyone I know says they hate the cartridge style though.

    Why not just replace the valve?

      Hi there, the customer was replacing a old TR60 Filter with a new TR100 unit so everything needed to be replaced. Hope this helps.

    First let me say I am extremely disappointed in this product… but I’m kinda stuck with it.
    Fiberglas is not good in AZ! My first Pentair lasted 5 years. No warrantee because the unit wasn’t registered to me but to the builder. Second one cracked and the 10 years was beyond any hope. So now, as I look for a new one I hear “oh they are not good in AZ on account of the sun”. Now you tell me! But this one is going to be covered by a shed lattice. So 15 hundred bucks later I’m checking out your video. I love the idea of cutting the top off first. (Instead of later to bring the old one down to trash can size). I picked up everything and now ready to face the heat and muggyness .
    So: my suggestion re video. Talk slower, And get rid of the stupid fitted hats …. You’re an adult not a friggen skater kid. And the hand and arm gestures. The only thing missing is the words Gnarley and “sick”….. very annoying to watch and almost hard to take serious.
    Other than that GREAT HELPFUL VIDEO. Thank you

      LOL…your video was very helpful if only on the cut-off part! Hard to believe that big mooring ball actually fit into a paper sack in a WM trash can thanks to a harbor freight Sabre saw! BTW…. I edited my post
      Thanks

    From the first second of the video, the image of that backyard made me think you were in Arizona, although I imagine you must be in the Phoenix area because I have not heard of your company here in The Old Pueblo.
    What are the advantages of using glass over sand as a filter medium? Does it filter any better than sand?
    From what I understand, sand filters have the worse filtering capability when compared to cartridge filters, and D.E. filters . . . where cartridge filters do a little better job at filtering because they can filter out smaller contaminants, and D.E. filters can trap the small particles of all three filter types, although they all have other pros and cons outside of how small of particulate matter each type can manage to filter. Sand filters will do a more than sufficient job of filtering your pool water, just as long as you manage it properly. My pool has a sand filter, and I have no problems with its performance as a pool filter.
    It's about time for me to replace the sand in the filter, which should be performed approximately every five years unless I have been ill-informed. So, I am curious about using glass as a filtering medium over sand, and wonder what advantages it offers. Does it filter any better than sand? Also, what is its longevity, its life expectancy, in other words, how often does one need to change their glass medium filter???

    • @ThinkerOnTheBus

      When you replace the sand in your filter, you should backwash after replacing the sand. Does glass media not need to be backwashed like sand??+

    • @ePoolSupply
      @ePoolSupply  ปีที่แล้ว

      Glass media will not only filter down to few microns better than sand but you will never have to replace the media like you would every 5 years with sand, and that in itself can be very expensive.

    • @ePoolSupply
      @ePoolSupply  ปีที่แล้ว

      Still need to backwash the filter. Even with the glass media.
