Beautiful C7 GS! The after market wheels are fantastic. With the after market lowering bolts, the car has a very aggressive stance. How does the front splitter survive with the front end so low?
I know this is two years old, but this build is pretty much just what I'm wanting to do to my 2014 Stingray. Mine has the 6-speed auto trans. I was thinking cam and heads (with a reasonably mild cam), A&A supercharger and intercooler, American Racing long-tube headers. I hadn't considered the fan. Good move. 600+ RWHP was what I was hoping for. (I could live with 550, but . . . 600 is what I'd prefer.) I've seen lots of builds that did either the blower OR the cam and heads package, either/or with long-tube headers. I'm thinking "Why not all of that?" Without making this an all-out insane build, I thought it could be kept as a very streetable grocery getter that packs some serious performance. (A Z06 style hood to fit a supercharger on top of the engine would not be out of the question, but I'm leaning towards the centrifugal blower that fits under the stock hood.)

Thank you very much. We didn’t go overkill on the boost- only 6lbs. Everyone wants that high boost PSI - which means higher fuel demand. It’s a balance. The cam helps too which has a larger fuel lobe on it- which drives the HPFP harder and creates more volume. Yes VVT is deleted as well as AFM. @@moderngrub1876 it’s a lot of parts and a lot of work- but the gains justify the cost in my opinion and we are barely working that car. It’s got another 100 rwhp in it easy if we add some fueling upgrades.
Um, well, I don’t know. Let me goes ask Jimmy LOL! I get your point - believe me- I agree…but my dude had a GS and didn’t want a Z06…different strokes for different folks. Go watch my BAD PUNKN ZL1 video- I’m an LT4 guy all the way!
Depends on what your goal is. The way this kind of centy set up and the roots system on an lt4 make torque is radically different on the curve. IMHO nobody needs 650ft/lbs at the hit in a 3,500lb car with DOT approved street tires etc - chassis can barely handle it - some would say straight up can’t handle it like Pobst - which is why the 06 and R1 are notoriously twitchy. Plus hes getting all the upgraded cooling and etc in that number if I understand it correctly. Not to answer for the shop but on a road course there would likely be a lot of unhappy z06 guys wondering why they spent the money on that and not on this… just sayin. There is a whole lot more to being fast than simple peak hp/tq and 0-60.
Also - as to the lt4 being a better motor outside of the cam drive, which I’m sure is a roller now on the cam upgrade, the vast majority of the improvements between the lt1 and the lt4 are in the heads. Given that this car is now running CNC’d heads and that the AFM has been deleted (thank god) - and I’ll assume given the quality that this shop seems to have that they did all the other bits as well (springs, arms, push rods etc)- these heads are SIGNIFICANTLY better (meaning bullet proof and breathing like crazy) than stock 06 heads. So an extra 15k-20k more for a stock zo6 over a stock GS or 20k for this vs a stock z06 (all the same final number being the point) - this GS is better in almost every way.
Less is more fellas. Feel free to NOT stick a Vette emblem anywhere you have enough space for it. Looks tacky. Looks like a Mustang owner also owns this car. You know the type. Dudes that stick chrome on their door handles, window trim, etc. Ghetto ass rats. So, please be classy. Otherwise beautiful car.
@@floridahighperformance- also… help these people understand the diff between a centri a roots setup. Also, also, also this setup is FAR less likely to heat soak down there in the southern heat. This car on the street in the hands of your average driver will be faster than the z06 mod comment above because… the difference in torque and hp delivery between the two and being able to run the timing all the way out. What’s that old saying g - spinnin ain’t winnin. Far too many “performance enthusiasts” these days who look at peak numbers and think that’s the story. It’s not and almost never is.

+40 on the rear is the most aggressive I’ve seen with the HF5 on a grand sport, most of the ones I’ve seen have been +45
How much does a build like this cost?
Not including wheels…about 20k or so
what stage is that cam? also is it on stock piston?
Stage 2 NA from GPI. The NA camshafts work fine with centrifugal style superchargers like the A&A kit shown in this video. If it was a top mount supercharger like a Whipple or Magnuson, we would have went with a positive displacement friendly camshaft.
Yes stock bottom end
@@floridahighperformance what hp or psi are you comfortable with on the stock LT1 piston?
@@kolbyhumbert2680 8 psi, 650 RWHP….after that…rolling the dice
@@floridahighperformance word thanks!
How much for a 550wheel hp package on this car?
About 10-12k
What would the turn around time be for say a 550 wheel hp package…. What would be done to it?
@@gz4405 we don’t provide guarantees on completion times on performance builds- too many variables which are out of our control- like other vehicles causing delays, parts issues, etc. no reason for I to take more than a few weeks start to finish though- if you’re looking for a ball park. We don’t rush- we take our time with these builds and pay great attention to detail along the way- which takes time.
If you’d like a formal quote send me an email and I’d be happy to put one together for you.

How much did all this cost
A set up like this ranges 15-20k….including the wheels
What’s the cost on the upgrades that got the 200 gain? 🤔
I'm currently trying to build a car like this. This is the question we all really want to know.
20k or so
Fiiiiire
Thank you!
Price of a build? And please don’t send me to your website for a quite just tell me here
With the wheels, 20k
@@floridahighperformance that’s worth it to be honest when I get my vette I’ll keep you all in mind
@@moderngrub1876 it’s a lot of parts and a lot of work- but the gains justify the cost in my opinion and we are barely working that car. It’s got another 100 rwhp in it easy if we add some fueling upgrades.
What did that run you 20k? Why not just buy the z06? lmao. The LT4 is a better motor
Just buy a Z06 and save a few thousand?
You're not wrong...some people don't want a Z06
SO HE WENT IN PLANNING ON SPENDING 6-7K ENDED UP SPENDING 30K
No, he came in expecting to pay about 20k all in, and paid 20k all in. 30k? I wish. Thanks for checking out the video.
Nice car, but auto 😢
I am a manual guy myself...but as time goes on, they are harder and harder to find!
What will this build cost, less the wheels.
About 20k
Less is more fellas. Feel free to NOT stick a Vette emblem anywhere you have enough space for it. Looks tacky. Looks like a Mustang owner also owns this car. You know the type. Dudes that stick chrome on their door handles, window trim, etc. Ghetto ass rats. So, please be classy. Otherwise beautiful car.
To each their own...thanks for checking out the vid!!
So buys a 50k GS spends 25k to make it a base model c7z06 ??? Buy a c7z06 , tune headers e85 and you have the same hp
Maybe he didn't want a Z06? Gotta ask Jimmy my boy.
How much does this build cost out the door?
About 20k, give or take....
