I just love your channel, I adore your work and enthusiasm and I really want to say as a training counsellor, it is a massive step in your own self awareness and healing and recovery to share your struggles with other people, there should be no shame or stigma in mental health and you are truly helping yourself and others by vocalising it. Your fans and supporters see the side of you, at your happiest sharing your passions, your sewing, the birth of your beautiful niece, the love for your parents and your dog (so cute!) that is the face you put on to the rest of the world so it may not be obvious to others and that takes some real courage to say that. I wish you all the best in 2023, you are a beautiful soul, you are inspiring to me and many others, and I hope life is a little less challenging and a lot more rewarding this year for you.
My first time watching you and thoroughly enjoyed everything. I also deal with depression, at least I try to, and find cross stitching to be soothing and grounding. But right now I am finding my stash is almost overwhelming me. So many charts I would like to stitch but realistically I would have to stitch for another century. Ha!
Hello LalaDee 😊 I didn't catch your first name 🙂 Thank you so much for your wonderful video! I didn't want it to end. Everything you are working on and have plans for... absolutely gorgeous. I am new to stitching (I did a bit in the cute and country 90's 😉) and have just been back to it for a few months. I don't have access to anything like you do in my area of BC Canada. I fantasize about crossing the border and being in my glory! Thank you for being open about your depression. I struggle with it too and stitching has really helped. I am a journal maker but stumbled across a Flosstube and haven't looked back. I really look forward to seeing your next Flosstube and quilting video as well. I've done some basic quilting and feel the itch to get back to that too ☺️ Take good care, Laurel 💖
Glad to see you again! I also saw that tiny flicker of pain in your expression when you talked about depression. Many many of us struggle. Thanks for being brave and putting yourself out there. Stitching is my therapy.
new stitcher here(2 smalls completed). Love your channel and downloaded the Joy Of Winter and Black Sampler and Indigo Tulip! Can't wait to get going. Thank you for your realness, many of us find solace in our crafting (I've quilted for almost 40 years). Congratulations on your niece and thank you for sharing your world with us.
First of all, welcome back 😊 Second, great finishes you have there, I love "the joy of Winter" and the "Christmas at Winterberry Cabin", they both look so beautiful and cozy when stitched!!! Third, I loved your Haul!!! I've said before that I am addicted to crafting materials so....yes I just loved it. I really, really like the threads for the "Sampler Hill", amazing colors and then what to say about the "In the library"... I immediately started looking for it. I managed to find the pattern but, of course, not the Cottage Garden Threads, that look so fantastic, but I'll have to settle with what I can find. Though I don't want to be ungrateful, I am happy with what I can find. So to sum it up, "In the library" is on top of my list for my next purchase, your video was really enjoyable, and I am looking forward to your next one 📚🪡🧵 P.S. It's really fun to take part in the #bettertogetherfrostySAL 🧵🪡
Lovely to see you on the tube. Thanks for showing all the things!! I love the way you hold your stitches close to you!! I like to embrace mine too!! You are so pleasant to listen to, thanks for all the sharing and you are a lightening stitcher!!
When you say that your stitching with just the skin stitched, that they look like aliens, I always think of Earthworm Jim when I see stitching of only the skin!!! I think the fabric you have chosen for Kingfisher is absolutely perfect!!! The modeling of it will just add to the look of it!!!
Love your videos! Reflections is my LNS. I am so glad you got to visit Julie's new location. It is a bigger space than she had. If you ever have a chance, she has a flosstube. In 2020, she started doing chart of the day and because life happens, last year she changed it to chart of the week. She shows a selection of fabric that could work with different patterns. But, since she was moving the shop, she has only done a couple of normal flosstubes. You may have enabled me with Brenda's chart Sampler Hill. I may have to get that. Happy stitching!
I love coming over to your channel and watching what you are stitching on. You are such a delight to watch. Your enthusiasm reminds me of my oldest daughter…. it’s just so catching. Sending blessings your way. Keep smiling and stitching
Thank you for being an inspiration! Congratulations for the new member of your family, your niece is adorable 🫠 and your projects 😮😮😍, also I love the Santa’s book 🔎
I am also an apple user and I found a program called Markup-R XP. It’s just like pattern keeper. The only difference is that it has a yearly charge instead of a one time charge but it is well worth it!! I have also discovered a good way to import paper patterns onto it. Such as a Mira/Nora Corbett. I just started using it in 2022 and it was a game changing. I have terrible eyes and as I’ve gotten older, it hasn’t improved. This program allows me to zoom in on stitches and back stitching. It also “highlights” all the stitches in a certain color which helps keep me on track. I also love how it keeps track of your stitches, time stitched and how much you have left. There was a learning curve but I can’t imagine stitching without it!
It would be great to be able to get the Mirabilia chart into a digital keeper, it always is a soft mangling to get a working copy on those large charts. Thanks for the apple tip! I will download it today and try it out. :)
@@LaladeeStitches I can give you a few tips to get it to work in Markup! I’m lucky to have a fedex store behind where I live and I’m able to go there for working copies and to scan to PDF. It’s been some trail and error but I love working from my iPad!
Congrats on becoming an auntie and your finished pieces! Loved to see your progressees. Heard your next video will be on the 10th of February (I know: I’m behind on flosstubes), so I keep my fingers crossed I can watch it tomorrow or saturday 😊 Happy stitching
This is my second time watching I love your work is so beautiful and you are a delight to watch look forward to your next flosstube Happy Wedding Anniversary.🙏🤗
I just stitched Heart in Hand Collector’s Heart 2023 using the kitted up Cottage Garden Threads. My first time using that thread. I love that floss! Great coverage! Happy stitching!!
First time viewer and I love your channel. I am going to go back to your first one and watch them all. We have the same tastes in stitching, and I think you are a quilter too. So am I. Bravo for being honest about your live and challenges. You are a beautiful person and don't forget that. I, too, have suffered from long bouts of depression and covid did not help since they asked us ole folks to shelter in place. Thankful for crafts, sewing and cross stitch and floss tubes for entertaining myself and so many others. Anyway, I am going to go find those two patterns and see if I can catch up with your SAL. Or maybe if you start another SAL, I will hop on then. Great video!!! Can't wait for next one.
So glad I found you. You have the best laugh and smile. I can’t believe how much progress you have made with all you had going on. Thank you for brightening up my day.
Congrats on the arrival of your niece! Glad everyone is now doing well. Is she your first niece? Glad you made the trip moving your parents safe and sound, and they are getting all settled in. Congrats on finishing Joy to the World SAL. It is so beautiful. Congrats on your finish of Christmas at Winterberry Cabin as well. Great haul!!! Thanks for sharing. Nice progress on your WIPs. Have fun watching the nephews. Happy stitching.
She is my first biological niece. I have one younger sister and it is her first child. 💕I love all of my nieces and nephews, but this little one feels very exciting. Happy stitching!
Your dough bowl can be a large platter or shallow basket - it doesn't have to be an actual dough bowl. They are antiques and can be very expensive. Thanks for all the lovely eye candy of your purchases. Have fun.
When winter gets me down, my husband takes me to the local conservation area and we feed the chickadees. They come to your hand when you hold seed. I think you would enjoy it. Thank you for a lovely video.
I love that. My husband used to drive my to the ocean when we were in Portland- the sea heals my soul. It is so good to find those things that bring light. 💕
Another lovely episode…thank you for being your delightful self and for shedding some light on the importance of our mental health. I have been eyeing that “In the Library” chart…had not seen the floss conversion you are going to use.
Congrats to your family on the new bundle of joy! You got a lot done despite being busy busy busy! Oh, had to go add In The Library to my wishlist. I stitched up Love Birds recently , it's super cute & fast. Can't wait for your new videos!
I would love to see some “quilty tube”! Look forward to that! Your projects all look so beautiful and I loved seeing your purchases! Thank you so much for being open and honest about your mental health struggles. I also deal with depression and can easily feel like it is way too “peoplie” outside. It is important that we put ourselves out there and engage with others. Look forward to your next video! Happy stitching! ❤
Loved seeing your Joy of Winter. Looking forward to the quilting video. I also have two grown daughters that live far away from me so glad you had quality time with your parents.
You are so delightful. Thank you for your video. I, as well, suffer from depression and your video brought some happiness for me this evening. ❤️ I have a stitcher friend who lives in Renton, WA and I visit Portland quite often as my son lives there. The PNW is such a nice place.
Hi. I always look forward to your videos. I have to say that when you showed Santa’s Great Book my jaw dropped. I love Santa’s. I went on EBay and got the softcover. It arrived today! These patterns are amazing. Thanks for showing.
Nice to see you again Laura. Always love seeing you and you're so fun & relatable. Keep it up. I'm an apple girl too and found Markup RXP - it works on both apple & android (unlike pattern keeper) and I'm loving it. Highly recommend it (especially if you want to do a full coverage - paper pattern for them is very tedious, even with marking on a working copy).
Hi Laura, I love that last sampler you showed (library). So cute!! You've accomplished a lot considering you've been galivanting all over the country. :) And the little houses are so cute. btw - depression runs in my family too and it's actually quite common. I can't relate to people that haven't experienced it - LOL!
You may already know this but the owner of Reflections is Julie McConnell. She has a cross stitching TH-cam channel. Her channel name is Julie McConnell. Love your projects! Can’t wait to see your progress.
Good to see you! Glad to see you smiling and exuberant about all your WIPs and haul, etc. As a student of depression I applaud your self acceptance. I wasted so much time and heartache trying to convince myself otherwise. Your new, early bird niece is absolutely adorable- perhaps that has fueled your bird pattern selections? Looking forward to your next flosstube on the 10th. Good luck with your quilting channel. I’m not a quilter but I may check it out anyway😊. Happy stitching 🦉🦢🌞
Love all of your Finishes - they are so pretty. Love all of your WIPS - The Fabrics are so so pretty. Wow. You are making great progress on them. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵❤️
I was so excited to see you had a new video out this evening. I am recovering from total knee replacement, so I have been a floss tube junky and I’ve been eagerly waiting for yours. I love all your new starts. Your WIPS look lovely as well as your FO’s. Love your enthusiasm for our favorite hobby. Glad you got to have a great haul while shopping with your mom; It is always fun to indulge.
That is a big surgery! I had a friend who had both of her knees done- it completely changed her life. I hope you recover quickly and fully! It was so fun- now I need to turn my shopping brain off for a month, 😂.
Wow you have been stitching!!! Everything looks gorgeous as always and just like you I like the cold but I like the sunshine soooo much better for my happiness.
I love the Woodland Enchantress and the Snow Maiden, can't wait to see them again, but maybe you would continue with both on them in February. I think I would love to stitch them myself.
Also apple user and I use Good Notes app one time fee about $10.00. Wonderful and I can mark my pattern. Enjoyed your stitching progress. Have fun in Oregon. Pumpkin Hollow lives on Oregon, somewhere. ( you probably know that). I’ll watch for your quilting bee.
Hi Laura, how nice to see you. I live all your new cross stitching investments. I may have to join you as you stitch some of them. 🤗 I have a Butternut Road lady, too. Not the same one, but a lady walking with a purpose to get somewhere. I'm going to have to kit her up. Have fun with your nephews. I'll have my 6 year old nephew this weekend as well, so easy night time projects for me.
I would love to see a pic of your Butternut Road lady. Have fun with your nephew! I stitched once during naps for 20 min and was too tired at night to stitch at all! 🤣
Hey pineapple on a pepperoni would be odd, but on a supreme you need all the things LOL. Love the enthusiasm you show your projects with, can’t wait to see how your Mirabilia’s progress. Happy Monday! - Nic x
I think it’s sooo fabulous that you want people to email you with their progress! I’m not on FB or Instagram. So that’s great to be able to share work without missing out! Love your channel!!! And I want to get those two charts to join your sal late.
I love that! I have trees out my windows and I love to watch the varieties- I need to get a local bird book and start putting names to them other than, "cute little fluffy ones" etc. 🤣
Can't Gracey go with to your nephews!?! BTW, I can't think of a better way to start my especually early morning day than with you Laura. I have a little package 📦 to send but am waiting until your return home ☺ Macbeth took my breath away, and the flosses, perfection! And I love that library chart! Lady, you tempt me 😊
I wish she could have come with me- unfortunately she is a rescue who was abused in a home with small children- she is okay with one or two- but gets quickly overwhelmed by the energy of many little humans. My hubby came down with her for the last day and she was okay- but at her max by the time we drove home. Poor thing, it makes me so sad for her, and I wonder what really happened in her past. We continue to try to heal that hurt, but I am not certain she will ever be truly peaceful around tiny kiddos. (Also- the package came!! Thank you sooo much!💜)
So many goodies in your video! Do announce when you start Sampler Hill. I have been wanting to start that for a while. For Valentine’s my husband I do heart shaped BLTs and our go to movie was (we haven’t watched in a douple years due to my work schedule) The Curse of the Were-Rabbit from Wallace and Gromit (not romantic at all, but it made us laugh) 😂
I love it! I don't think it has to be romantic, just good time together is what matters. Enjoy your Vday, I hope you have the time to watch your movie this year!
I stitched Woodland Enchantress, then made her into Christmas stocking for my daughter (at her request.) It nearly killed me to cut her up, but she does make an amazing stocking.
Thaaat kinda made my whole body tense up to read! I am sure she is spectacular- but I don't know how you ever brought yourself to cut into all that work.... 😱
Enjoyed your podcast and projects that you are working on. The owl pillow behind you is so sweet. Is there a pattern for it. I also like to sew. Look forward to your next podcast.
Oh I love the progress on "Into Dreamland" and "Woodland Enchantress" I have those two just Woodland is started. When you put on The Butternut one it took my breath away as I too have been eyeing that one. Mainly because it reminds me on my grandmother who came from Slovakia and it was her job to mind the geese. This model also has my grandmothers coloring as a young woman. I would like to do that one in her memory. Congratulations Auntie! Im sure that little girl is blessed to have you in her life. I look forward to your next video and insights! Have a stitchy in-between video times!
I love the wide variety of the patterns you stitch. I just started stitching last May, made the jump linen yesterday and started a Nora Corbett. Nothing like jumping in head first. Yikes! I’m hoping to start changing out colours like you do, so keep giving us ideas. Thanks for making the videos!
Good for you! Be fearless- sometimes goobers will happen and that's okay- just try all the things. It is how I have learned over the years. Nothing is "too hard" for your level, you just haven't learned it yet. Happy stitching! 🥰
I adore the colors on the first finish! That red especially is stunning, whichever one it was. I appreciate that you are discussing depression. I have anxiety disorder, and it's definitely something you learn how to manage as a part of every day life. I'm about to start the fox in that Year in the Woods series. I love all of them.
I love them all too 💜 I hope to stitch many of them in time. haha. The fox is so handsome. Anxiety is wicked- but you are right- you learn to manage it and just do you best every day. Also- the color was for SURE Ribbon Red Classic Colorworks ❤️ Its gorgeous and my favorite red right now. :) Happy Stitching.
I also finished the Joy of Winter. Thanks for recommending it. I decided I like that kind of sampler, with motifs that are like mini-finishes to make it feel like I'm making progress.
Congrats! That is awesome! The samplers are satisfying, very true. I am on the lookout for another one- and just saw one that will be released at market that may have to come home to me. :)
Wow I bought the two cross stitch patterns but was under the impression it started at the end of January. I do not have Instagram but I will email you my progress as soon as I can. Absolutely love your stitching.
I was curious, you mentioned Threadneedle Street in your floss-tube today. Do they have a good selection of cross-stitch stuff? It is hard to tell from their web-site. I live in Sumner, WA and thought it was a knitting store. I might have to take a drive. My goodness girl you have so many beautiful projects started and on the line-up. Another great video in the can. I am so glad you are doing floss-tube even when you don't feel really up to it. Thanks for letting us know how you feel and you are really helping us by telling us about it. Have a great weekend.
It is really tough to tell from their website, but I was pleasantly surprised when I went in the first time- at least 50% of her shop is dedicated to cross stitch! I have been very happy with her selection. Definitely worth the trip to stop by! :)
Oooh Full Coverage are so fun. I bought a couple of HAEDs at the new year when they were on sale and am itching to start one of them. I need to find some more soft gridded material. Any recommendations? You have a few full coverage going right now, don't you?
@LalaDee Stitches I have 6 going right now! 5 are on pregridded fabric I purchased from 123Stitch. I get the easy grid with the grey lines which has lines every 10 holes.
Hi there! I love watching your floss tube videos...they make my day. I would like to start "In the Libery" with you. Could you give me the names of the thread you will be using. Thanks 😊
The company is Cottage Garden Threads- they are the original threads the sample was stitched in so they are listed on the pattern. The pattern also lists the DMC and an Overydye conversion. The designer put a lot of effort into her pattern. It's really nice. It will be so fun to have you stitch it too! 😊
I just love your videos! You have such a sweet spirit! You’re such an inspiration, not only with your creativity, but your courage in speaking about depression! Thank you and I look forward to your next flosstube!♥️ P.S. Speaking of movies, libraries, and Valentines Day, how about the movie, “You’ve Got Mail”. I love any movie that co-stars Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan! Also do you have any book recommendations?!♥️
I love "You've Got Mail"! ❤️ And a book recommendation... hmmm... Have you read The Forgotten garden by Kate Morton? It has been years since I read it last- but I remember loving it.
Being an Apple user I found a Silk app first but you can only use it for the patterns that they sell you or give you free. Then my girlfriend who is also a floss tuber said I should use GoodNotes so I’ve been using that one. I only stitch Manama monogamously so I can use the free one because you can only have someone so many at one time before you have to pay so I put one in my deleted I put another one in and it’s free though the cost is only 799 to use the whole thing. But it feels like flying under the radar if I can get it for free because nobody gets anything for free these days. See you soon.
Great finishes. The link for The Joy of Winter is not working for me. It does take me to Linktree but says it doesn’t exist. I loved your version so would like to find it. Thanks for your help
I have updated the link- could you give it one more try please? If it doesn't work I am more than happy to just email you the chart as it is a free one. :)

Immediately added In The Library to my wishlist as soon as I saw it! Adorable!!Congrats on your finishes 🎉
It's so good! 💕📚

Sweeeeet! 😁
Your stitching is beautiful! So sorry your trip through SD was icy...we've had a crappy winter. Love your haul purchases.

I recently started the Swans also among many others. I find it very relaxing! Beautiful stitching!

I am so glad it brought you some happiness. hugs. 💜
Hi. I always look forward to your videos. I have to say that when you showed Santa’s Great Book my jaw dropped. I love Santa’s. I went on EBay and got the softcover. It arrived today! These patterns are amazing. Thanks for showing.
Your hair is gorgeous
Thank you 🥰
I loved the Santa book. Went to Amazon and found it! I enjoyed seeing all your projects.
She did mention it while we were chatting, but I hadn't had the time to search for her yet. Thanks for the info! I will get to watching her. :)
Beautiful finishes !
Take Care & Happy Stitching
❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵❤️
Thank you so much! Happy stitching!
The Vintage Pearl Barley Linen is by Lakeside Linen. WOW!!! And the Cocoa is by Weeks Dye Works
Glad to see a new FlossTube from you Laura, you were missed😀 Your FlossTubes never disappoint, beautiful stitching and attitude. See you soon.
I use the same highlighters. Really great idea to use the colors to track time.
Love all your projects!
I was so excited to see you had a new video out this evening. I am recovering from total knee replacement, so I have been a floss tube junky and I’ve been eagerly waiting for yours. I love all your new starts. Your WIPS look lovely as well as your FO’s. Love your enthusiasm for our favorite hobby. Glad you got to have a great haul while shopping with your mom;
It is always fun to indulge.
That is a big surgery! I had a friend who had both of her knees done- it completely changed her life. I hope you recover quickly and fully! It was so fun- now I need to turn my shopping brain off for a month, 😂.
Glad you had good month, be safe
@@LaladeeStitches yup, the little ones will do that to you but it's fun hanging out with them. I'll send you a picture to your IG account.
Hey pineapple on a pepperoni would be odd, but on a supreme you need all the things LOL. Love the enthusiasm you show your projects with, can’t wait to see how your Mirabilia’s progress. Happy Monday! - Nic x
😂 I love all the toppings too- but for the Pineapple. 😉 🍕🍍
Ooh oooh I’ve never seen the in the library pattern before. I love it! Great finishes! Great to see you
Love your videos! Thanks for your happy stitching encouragement
YAY, heading to work for the night and found a new video from you!! You literally made my night better already! Depression be damned. 🙋♀️💜
Amen! 💜
Another great show 🤗 I love seeing what you are working on and can't wait until your next show 😊
Great stitching, as always. I fell in love with the Santa book and just found AND bought it! So, thanks! (I think??) LOL. Steph from NJ
Haha- just sharing the joy of being enabled 😂
Yay! It is gorgeous! Enjoy. 😉😊
Love your finishes. Can't wait for quilty fun. Happy stitching
the library is amazing 😍😍😍 and the colors are perfect! great episode again! i love your videos 😊
Thank you so much!
I think it’s sooo fabulous that you want people to email you with their progress! I’m not on FB or Instagram. So that’s great to be able to share work without missing out! Love your channel!!! And I want to get those two charts to join your sal late.
I am so glad you are joining us! 💕 I am excited to see your progress. 😊
I’m stitching Prairie Birds too…..all the birds I see at my feeder…..
I hope you will stitch it, in honor of you Grandmother, what a lovely memory. 💕
For some reason I am all about the birds this year too!
It's the cool way to be 😉🦢💕
I adore the colors on the first finish! That red especially is stunning, whichever one it was. I appreciate that you are discussing depression. I have anxiety disorder, and it's definitely something you learn how to manage as a part of every day life. I'm about to start the fox in that Year in the Woods series. I love all of them.
Beautiful purchases! Keep up the amazing work. Take care and happy stitching!
You have inspired me to get out my meager start on "In the Library" and put more stitches in with the Cottage Garden threads.
Woohoo!! This will be so fun! ❤️📚 I plan to start it this weekend.
Try Markup rxp works on iPad
Your delightful laugh and smile make your videos so fun to watch!
You are so kind 🥰
Your finishes are beautiful! Why not quilt a frame for the one with the odd size?
An excellent idea! 😊
Wow I bought the two cross stitch patterns but was under the impression it started at the end of January. I do not have Instagram but I will email you my progress as soon as I can. Absolutely love your stitching.
Oh no! Start anytime- we aren't going anywhere! 😊
@@LaladeeStitches Thank you so much for the information Threadneedle Street.
Even though you were super busy, you still got a lot done! I'm going to be doing Full Coverage February with a side of Fancy Lady February.
@@LaladeeStitches of course they do....I was not thinking hahaha. thanks for the info though.
Can you show close up of what looks like a wall hanging finishes on some of your projects please?
Sure can! I will add a clip into my next video. 💜
@@LaladeeStitches thank you so must
I just love your videos! You have such a sweet spirit! You’re such an inspiration, not only with your creativity, but your courage in speaking about depression! Thank you and I look forward to your next flosstube!♥️
Lol, I love it. Keep flying under the radar! That always feels like a win. 😁
❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
Great finishes. The link for The Joy of Winter is not working for me. It does take me to Linktree but says it doesn’t exist. I loved your version so would like to find it. Thanks for your help
I have updated the link- could you give it one more try please? If it doesn't work I am more than happy to just email you the chart as it is a free one. :)
@@LaladeeStitches thank you. I tried it again and it worked.
Couldn't locate Joy of Winter even through your link. Would you be able to email it to me? Love your video!
I would be happy to email the chart to you- it is a free chart. Just email me and I will reply with the chart. So sorry for the difficulties!
Have you thought of maybe getting Mark XP as I believe it can be used with Apple. That is what I have but I have android.
I will look into it- thank you! :)
🦌🦈🦇🐿
I just found you today! Watching all of your videos! I love your work
Woohoo! Thank you, I hope you enjoy!
