Happy New Year. I will be looking forward to your quilting videos. But will still catch the cross stitch videos too. Glad you are feeling better. Safe travels.
Hi, I've just found your videos and am slowly working through them. You make me smile with your joy and enthusiasm, so glad to have happened across you.
That was a really a fun couple of hours! Thanks a lot for putting the effort to make a really nice video for us. It was funny that the moment I was admiring your cup, you commented on that like you read my mind. I really enjoyed looking at all the different designs and the different fabrics and threads, I just love it. Great collection ☕🧵🪡
It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite & Natalie Woods is so beautiful in Miracle on 34th Street. Both favorites! Oh, Danny Kay! You are taking us way back! What a sweetie! Ben Stiller is great too! Debbie Mum? Night Walked Down, The Blue Flower is absolutely one of my very favorite designers and she is a delightful lady!
I am once again I'm on Cloud 9!!! Laura is back doing what she's so amazing at...doing a flosstube! You brighten my day. Thank you! You do such beautiful work!
Oh boy 🌙- the beads still intimidate me. I have done a small amount of beading- but nothing on a Mira scale yet. I love the effect though- so I am staying positive. haha. I bet she is beautiful on a lavender. 💜
I did that a couple years ago (collected most all the DMC's.) Plus I ordered their floss chart too. How lovely to see the swans! Queen Elizabeth gifted swans to Lakeland, FL. I didn't realize that until recently! I must have seen the same Flosstube with Judith Kirby designs. There are quite a few lovely houses on Ebay! Have you watched Olivia at Pumpkin Hollow? Her quilts are mostly Civil War reproduction fabrics! I love them❣I sew but have never quilted, but have done lots of different needlework projects over the decades! I switch thr artwork in my house out seasonally. Tampa Bay has one season: eternal summer! Then there's some really lovely cool days during the winter if we're lucky!
The Chubby bird could be done as a round pillow for a dough bowl. The Weeks fabric - if you stretch it in a hoop, Q-snap or roller frame - I think it will keep the fabric threads straight and prevent them from moving around. It would also pull the threads a bit to have a bit more space between them and see the holes betters. When you release it they will tighten around the stitching to secure it. Good luck. I am looking forward to following yo throughout the year. I will also follow your quilting videos.
It looks like you quilt borders on a lot of your projects rather than frame them under glass. If you ever do a tutorial, it would be interesting to see how you put them together and whether you use a board.
Hi Laura. I really enjoy your positive energy! Great projects and kits! I think you might have meant Debbie Mumm, quilt designer from the 90’s. She designs some of the Mill Hill kits.
I love that you used a candy wrapper for your floss, I have been using wrappers and paper boxes (like cereal) to make floss keeps. My latest is a floss keep is of the space shuttle That is on display at the Udvar-Hazy flight museum by Dulles Airport. Happy New Year and I’m happy you are feeling better. Stitch on!
Another great video. I am very excited for some of your kit starts for2023. I will be starting my first Mira on my dad’s birthday Jan 22 he would have been 100 .One of the things he like to do was to play with us kids in the snow so I will be starting giggles and I’m going to do both boy and girl on one piece of fabric I guess it’s actually called giggles in the snow. Take care I will see you on your next show
Pretty fabric on Siren Cove. I'd love to stitch something on that color fabric! I think I have a piece of Tuscan Sun!?! And I do have that Unicorn. When you are ready, I would like to stitch with you. I need to kit...
Happy New Year, Laura! You’re always a joy to watch. You sure have some lovely pieces kitted up. Regarding the Lakeside Linen Bittersweet fabric, the “v” stands for vintage. Most of their linens have the basic color name which I believe have no mottling, or have vintage in the name for the same fabric name which does include mottling. They fabric is just so beautiful!!
Hi Laura - happy new year! I've been stitching the during your entire video and the end time was perfect because I'm tired of sitting. You are so ambitious to do all those full coverage projects. I have one Mirabila that I started over 20 years ago and put it down for various reasons. I will be picking it back up in the next week or so to finish for my daughter as a surprise. It was supposed to be her 21st birthday gift - haha! She doesn't know about it though so it's ok. BTW I love the original Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I haven't and won't want the newer version. Happy stitching!
Hi Laura Happy New Year! You are definitely an enabler lol but I kept watching. Look forward to your quilt bee episodes and have loved stitching along to this longer one.
Happy New Year. Loved watching your kit parade and all your work. Well done. If you would like to see a finish of the Wind Moon Fairy, have a look at Lucky Chance Stitcher, she has completed it without the background really pretty.
I loved watching you today. Your video is fantastic. All your projects are so fun to see. I have the Sunset kit of the winter on main street. I started it but but put it away for a while because I messed up the stitching terribly. Lots to frog
That can be so disheartening- I am sorry- hopefully one day the mood will strike you to either restart on new material- or rip it out. it is a lovely design.
Welcome back, so glad you are feeling better 😊 Love all of your kits and wipes, and thank you for the hope of finding my 🦄 Mira chart for under $100 😁 Ashley's Garden .....
i had to get up a couple of times did i miss your "Into Dreamland"? This was a marathon watch! WOW what an accomplishment for you! Im Glad you are feeling better.
No worries- you didn't miss it. I didn't work on her during December- so she wan't featured this time. But I pulled her out yesterday and got some stitches in- so she will definitely be in the next video! 😊
I have a suggestion on Wind Moon Fairy that you get gridded fabric, I started that 3x's and then sold it. I went to the Nene Thomas (designer) and bought the chart from her. The detail is incredible and I am starting her on 20 count gridded aida.
Isn't having a stash wonderful when you want to start something? I've been so grateful over the past couple of years for my "collection" habit; I never lacked for something to stitch. The DMC thread card is worth every penny. I use mine when I'm switching between overdyed flosses as well as from DMC to overdyed and vice-versa. I always stitch with a hoop/qsnap/scroll frame. I'm just not comfortable stitching in hand. I ordered a set of 3 of the Nurge hoops, and I like them. I prefer to have my fabric held tight, and they're great at that, I like the squared off shape better and they're definitely lighter to old than a Q snap. I hope they help you with that piece of Weeks linen. I thoroughly enjoyed all of your progress and your kit parade. Right now I have my charts, fabric and threads all stored separately. I really want to sit down and get more projects kitted up so that it's easier to grab something new and get started, especially since this is a stitch from stash year for me. I have so many lovely projects, I really need to get them stitched! Lucky Chance Stitcher has stitched the Dimensions moon fairy (I'm not sure what the actual kit name is). She did swap out the fabric, but it's jaw dropping stitched up. I'm not sure which video she shows her finish in, but I was really tempted to try to find that kit and add her to my stash.
I want to go see Lucky Chance stitcher and her finish now- switching out the fabric might be really fun! I don't love the Aida in Dimensions kits. Definitely going to try a Nurge hoop- I hear all the good things. I hope it helps too. 😊
Hi Laura, what a wonderful video. I was able to complete a quick walking treadmill workout, cook and eat breakfast, and work on my Dimensions Autumn Fairy while enjoying your video. 🤗💞 I am so excited about all your future new starts this year. I can't wait to follow your progress.
Thank you for the long video!! I loved it!! I have painted a couple flowers from Donna Dewberry. Do you know if I can find any cross stitch patterns from her still? Also, how do you make your floss cards? I can’t wait to watch your Quilting TH-cam channel!! Do you have plans to do any how to videos in the future? I’m always excited to watch your videos. You are so upbeat and happy. It’s contagious. Thank you for what you do. Happy Stitching!! ❤
Hi Jennifer! I did find a selection of Donna Dewberry kits on Ebay- I am not sure if her patterns sell outside of a kit or not. I would like to do a how to video here and there in the future- but I will need a change of equipment to do it right- so perhaps later in the year. 😊 Happy Stitching! 💕
Well this was good fun! I almost got through stitching a border on one of my wips while watching! I'm a star trek fan too! On the last season of DS9 right now. Well I added a few items to my "someday" list while watching! Also, what a great way to recycle cardboard packaging! I save pretty lotion boxes and never thought of using them in this way, but I will now! Isn't it so exciting to think about all the new starts possibilities? I started a #QueuedUpSAL where I finish up certain wips to make room for others with the same motifs or by the same designers. Feel free to join to help you knock out some unicorn wips! Happy 2023 stitching!
Well done! I haven't watched DS9 in forever! I have been slowly trying to get my hubby hooked and we are 3/4 through NG. :) I will have to look at my WIPs and make a lineup. Happy stitching!
Hi Laura! Happy New Year!🎉 I’m so glad you are feeling better too. This was a really fun video to watch with some stitching and chai tea. You’ve inspired me to finish kitting up my sort of kitted up projects. I’ve got a list started for Threadneedle already! 😉😊
Where can I find the stitches through the year freebie? It’s super cute. I got that same light necklace for Christmas, I love it! I too am a quilter and I would LOVE to see what you’re working on. That’s so exciting.
Hi there! It is linked below on videos 7 & 8. I had heard of issues with it- so hopefully that will not happen. If it works it opens in a google doc. I hope that helps! 😊 I am so glad you like the light! It has been so helpful for me too! Happy stitching. 💕
Nice video--and update! Did have to take a break--haha. I am so going to watch your quilting video's. That sound fun. I have a question--how do you know you have bought a cross stitch pattern that is not legal? do you just happen to run across the real pattern? When I began knitting use to trade patterns with people until I realized that is not a nice thing to do. I would like my new goal to be creative with floss color, you come up with sure neat idea. Have a great couple of weeks.
Hi there! Thank you. 😊 I have learned a lot from watching other people on flosstube- it just happens by accident sometimes. I know that Joy Sunday kits are pretty much a no go. But in digital charts it can be harder to know unless you are familiar with what is out there. This one I started and THEN saw a photo on Pinterest with it in an old kit form. Oops! We try our best. 🤷🏽♀️
I typically enjoy a linen or even weave over an Aida- BUT I have found a few soft Aidas- and there are some gorgeous hand dyed out there now that bring them into the running for me. The Aida makes for an easier road trippin' project. Some are SO stiff and scratchy and I will avoid projects if they don't soften with handling.
Hi there! It is linked below on videos 7 & 8. I had heard that the link was no longer working- but it is worth a try! If it does work it opens in a google doc. 😊 I hope that helps! 🤗
Of course! If you google "Little Room in the Attic" you can find her website directly. The designer is Maria Demina. She has soooo many charming designs! Have fun!😊
Thank you! 😊 There is a link on video #7 & #8 in the info below. I did hear from someone that the site may have been shut down?? But have not confirmed that yet. I hope it still works for you! It will open in a google doc if it does.
Just wanted to share that there’s an LMS that are licensed to sell copies of the Halloween Victorian house pattern. I can’t remember what shop, but will post again if I can find the shop name 😊
Laura, you are adorable! You are a joy to watch and your joy is infectious. Thank you! And I wish you all the best!
Love your sweater. Love the Big Foot! Every video he catches my eye, thank for showing him up close in all his glory.
Thank you.☺️ (Also... a Bigfoot emoji is totally needed...) 😉
Another very enjoyable video thank you Laura. I look forward to joining you in 2023. Until next time take care :)
Happy New Year. I will be looking forward to your quilting videos. But will still catch the cross stitch videos too. Glad you are feeling better. Safe travels.
Love your progress on your wips and all your kitted projects. Happy stitching!
Hi, I've just found your videos and am slowly working through them. You make me smile with your joy and enthusiasm, so glad to have happened across you.
Love you delightful channel!! I absolutely love your big foot and the pieces on the wall with him! I definitely subscribed too!!
The V is for vintage. Loved seeing all your projects. Thanks for sharing
I enjoyed watching your video! I am happy to know that I am not the only stitcher that doesn't use a hoop.
That was a really a fun couple of hours! Thanks a lot for putting the effort to make a really nice video for us. First time tuning in! Thanks for sharing your projects and kits and your thought process on picking fabric. Here's to a productive year!

I am once again I'm on Cloud 9!!! Laura is back doing what she's so amazing at...doing a flosstube! You brighten my day. Thank you! You do such beautiful work!
You are so sweet 🥰
My first Mira was Fairy Moon. That moon is ALL beads. I did mine on a lavender 28ct lavender Quaker cloth. She is so pretty when she’s done!

Since I just found you a few days go. I decided to catch up and watch your later videos.
It looks like you quilt borders on a lot of your projects rather than frame them under glass. If you ever do a tutorial, it would be interesting to see how you put them together and whether you use a board.
Happy New Year Laura! So glad to see you feeling better. Enjoy your travels and I look forward to your video when you return 😃
Having the DMC floss card is so worth it! Put it on top of your shopping or wishlist!
Hi Laura. I really enjoy your positive energy! Great projects and kits! I think you might have meant Debbie Mumm, quilt designer from the 90’s. She designs some of the Mill Hill kits.
Quilting bee yay!

I love an interesting floss card! So long as I can write on it- it is fair game. 😊 (Now I need to go look up that space shuttle... 😁)
Maybe stitch The Visitor on Ballet Slipper linen from Fox and Rabbit.😍 Love the long episode.

I just found your channel - love your energy! You have some beautiful projects. I'll look forward to following along!
I love that you show your kitted up projects! Now I’m inspired to kit up part of my projects like you did too.
Well this was good fun! I almost got through stitching a border on one of my wips while watching! I'm a star trek fan too! On the last season of DS9 right now. I love the Dimensions kit. Wouldn’t have been my first choice either but now I’m off to look for it! You are an enabler!
Happy new year and happy stitching! Such a fun video as usual and I’m glad you’re feeling better 😊
Thank you! You too!
Happy New Year, Laura! I love the variety of your stitching!
Happy New Year, Laura! That was a fun episode!

Enjoyed all your projects! You mentioned that you stitch-in-hand. Do you stitch in hand your Mirabilias? You are quite an inspiration!
Hello! Yes- I stitch all of my projects in hand- even Mirabilias. I just find it more comfortable. :)
@@LaladeeStitches thank you for letting me know! All your projects are amazing!
I just discovered your channel and immediately subscribed! Do you have the link for the LED neck light?

I enjoy linen the best to work with. Do you find Aida cloth is all "course" to handle?
I typically enjoy a linen or even weave over an Aida- BUT I have found a few soft Aidas- and there are some gorgeous hand dyed out there now that bring them into the running for me. The Aida makes for an easier road trippin' project. Some are SO stiff and scratchy and I will avoid projects if they don't soften with handling.
