Wow & Wow such an amazing technical tour of your recording studio Justin, now I feel that I am really lucky to watch your TH-cam lessons knowing how much work you put into your passion as a Pro Guitar Teacher. I was thinking you were using a maybe Canon Camera with inbuilt Mic, Umbrella Lighting, an iPad and a Guitar Amp.. I have to congratulate you on the way you produce your guitar lessons even a lot of your Song Books which I have purchased from time to time. I heard you say that you started really simple and just kept adding stuff to where it is now, but still you certainly put a lot of work into your passion and us students are really getting such an amazing youtube experience of a lifetime from you Justin. I come from a working experience in IT for quite a long period of time in Technical sales in Sydney Aust. Believe you me your Laptop and App that runs all the Video editing and sounds , images etc would be like a simulator flying a B 777. But now in retirement and playing and learning songs or guitar lessons from Justin Guitar makes me really happy that I found you nearly 8 years ago. It has been a really good guitar journey now I have just acquired a new Les Paul now 9 guitars. A Couple of Questions: How do you keep a constant temperature in your Studio during all kinds of seasons especially for all your guitars? Do you have any Power Back Up like Batteries in case of a storm power outage when recording?. Do you use an Offsite Cloud based storage as back up for all your work & IP such as Apple iCloud or Microsoft One Drive? Thank you for this amazing TH-cam Filming Studio Tour. Next we would like to see a youtube version of your Band Workshop in Surrey of How you pull it altogether and get guitarists students along etc.. Take care

Extremely helpful video! Thanks for making. Aside from the utility of the information, I'm a subscriber to a bunch of your stuff and it's fun to see behind the scenes. I would be grateful if you would either quickly list, or better yet, make a similar video sharing what stock or free plugins you like for recording/mixing/mastering? Maybe do a quick demo of your process like what you did in this episode? Many of us are aspiring to produce our music but most of the available info is for people at a higher level. Or it's for EDM... You're down to earth, very good at explaining stuff, and are an exceptional instructor. Please consider that video, or even just a reply with a list of your favs... Thank you!

Thanks for sharing, I find the technical side and repairing guitars etc. to be as much fun as learning a new song, instrument or even playing live. Good luck with the pedal steel. I have played in a band for many years with my brother. He is a pedal steel player and that instrument can take a band or tune to a different level for sure. I have recently started learning lap steel and it’s so much fun. I like change and challenges to keep it interesting for me. If I get bored I don’t play. I hope to dip into TH-cam videos this fall or winter but will be doing more like covers rather than lessons as I am self taught and not very good at the theory side. Thanks for all the great videos. Take care! 👍

Thanks so much for this Justin, some solid gold info there. I dabble with video making for my other channel but want to do more and better as and when I can afford and it's hugely helpful seeing other people's setups. I've been using Camtasia for years, but instead of upgrading this time I'm thinking of giving Final Cut a go, and also switching up to Logic from GarageBand. Been following your channel and site for many a long year (I even have a t-shirt from yonks ago!) and although my guitar progress is very stop start (despite learning for 25 years and counting) every time I get back to it I head straight over to your site. Just up the road from you so may bump into you one of these days and say thanks in person, but meantime "Thank you, and keep doin' what you do so well." 👍🏻 Judy

I am thinking of making a similar channel but for piano, and I am wonder if you could answer a question that was not covered in your "behind the scenes" video. Do you have to pay any publishing royalties when you teach published music on either your website or on TH-cam? When I start my channel I am concerned that TH-cam will not let me use music that has any copywrite on it. Thanks!

Thanks for doing this video. I understood your gear and like you said, you have to start off slow, as the cost to have just the video setup you have is substantial. I use a Canon SLR and a couple of Logic high end cams, into OBS, as I am lazy and OK with less than film quality for now. Lighting, you can’t skimp on though. I do love your main studio desk.
