    Thanks again man - I ordered the part myself and used your video to replace it. My local dealer was charging more than double the price for the heater purchase through them . This worked perfectly and my hot tub is up and running again. Seriously an Awesome and helpful video!!!

    What is the purpose of the copper straps? When replacing my heater today I notice my current unit is missing them

    • @spaman5440
      @spaman5440  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The copper straps are what is bringing the current from the board to the heating element. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

    Both my black couplers on both ends of the heater are dripping. Can one try and snug it up. You took the 2 screws out so they would half but then had them back together on installation. Won't move by hand and was trying to figure out just how it was put together before putting channel locks on it with it being plastic. I'm probably over thinking it lol. Just didn't want to bust the plastic. By the way, great videos, you know your stuff.

    I closed the gate valves since my spa was just refilled not to long ago. During the replacement water gushed up into the control panel. I have dried everything but how long would you suggest letting it air dry? I am hoping that I haven't completely messed up my spa.

      I would suggest calling the shop and talk to Scott about this and give him a few more details about it and he will get you going in the right direction. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

    could I just replace my heat element?

    • @spaman5440
      @spaman5440  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would buy the entire unit.. The reason why is you get a new heater tube with new connection unions and seals and you get two new sensors and a new heating element that is properly installed in the heater tube... Now if the heating element is bad the sensors are not far behind and to just install element and not have it leak is a little tricky. I for one will only replace the entire unit as a whole or I will not do the job at all for a homeowner! I learned my lesson years ago, Hope this Helps Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

      @@spaman5440 to my own shame I have to admit, my heating element is not bad, but I did not use the double tool system, so I broke one side of. Lesson learned.

    Great demo. Thanks. Can I disable the heater? The tech doc says by flipping DIP switch 10 to OFF, the heater will be disabled. (Heat Pump instead)

    Spa Man, I need your advice. I have a Balboa el2000 spa w/ an 8 button topside controller (older version, mach 1?) ml700. Will a 7 button controller work as a replacement? An ml700 is ~$385 lowest prices I've found but I did find a used 7 button for $100. I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks for all your videos!

    Thank you for posting this video, Spa Man. Although I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to replace an "L shape" heater for an older Morgan Spa that is discontinued, I found this very helpful trying to plan my repair. Would you, by any chance, be interested in offering a consultation for my situation? I can pay you to look at my situation and advice.

    For a tub already out of warranty why not just change the element?

    • @spaman5440
      @spaman5440  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If its already out of warranty..that means it probably five plus years old and since you have to take the entire heater tub out anyway, might as well change out everything with new. If you've never done the element on a hot tub..Its not as easy as it might seem to get it right and have no leaks.. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

    Silicone grease is best for plastics and rubber o-rings. Avoid petroleum products, such as oil, on plastic or rubber.
