Hey guys! Since you guys requested the extended version of this song on tiktok... here you go!😉 i wrote this song myself and was heavily inspired by ruu's singing and story ( from the genshin impact game). Hope you enjoy my take on ruu's song 🥰

To those who wanna know Ruu's actual story (Gore warning):
The tribed believed that the Thunderbird would protect them if they offered sacrifices. One day, the Thunderbird heard Ruu's song and liked it, the tribe noticed this and sacrificed Ruu to the Thunderbird by skinning him, cutting his tongue, pulling out his bones, and draining his blood while he is still ALIVE. The Thunderbird was enraged upon knowing this and decided to wipe out the entire tribe, cursing them eternally in a loop. In order to stop this, Ruu willingly volunteered to be sacrificed thousands of times while experiencing the same torture over and over again until the traveler found out Ruu's song would make everything stop. His dreams were to travel the world which is why he gave the feather to the traveler in order to fulfill his last wish

@@aivava4264 Thundering Fury Artifacts description. How ever in english some parts are left out so it doesnt sound so "cruel" but still gives a clear hint what happened back then. In chinese its literaly written like they tortured and massacred Ruu slowly. Dunno why they made it sound "softer" in english

Okay that sad. Now I'm crying knowing this information and I dont regret it either. It just means the song has more meaning now when listening to it. :(
ruu's quest literally traumatized me that it made me stop playing for a week (I had to ask my friend to use my acc for the coms), call it overreacting or whatever but I have a soft spot for kids like Ruu who died very young and wasn't able to live out their life, not to mention that his death kept repeating so meaning he had died SO MANY TIMES. That just makes me so sad bru he did not deserve all of that 😭
can u tell me more.. I haven't tlly played the game yet.. I am so intrigued by the story..
To add salt in the wound, read the Thundering Fury artifact set. That's what happened to Ruu

@@78_mary31 okay sooo Ruu is a boy who lives in tsurumi island like thousands or hundreds of years ago. One day he was singing in a mountain, which was heard by the thunderbird or Kapatcir (Ruu gave that name to the thunderbird). The thunderbird asked Ruu of why he wasn't afraid if the thunders and ruu said that with his voice he can calm down the thunder which peaked the thunderbird's interest so Ruu promised the thunderbird that he will one day sing for him again and the thunderbird held on to that promise. But unfortunately, the people of tsurumi island thought that the thunderbird wanted Ruu for himself so they sacrificed him (Ruu agreed to it cuz he thought it was the right thing to do). So when the thunderbird came and saw what was left of Ruu (if you play the game there's an artifact set called thundering fury, the details of what happened to Ruu is there), the thunderbird got angry so he went berserk and killed the people of tsurumi island, he also put a curse on the island. A time loop curse, which is why I said in my comment that Ruu died so many times, the thunderbird's curse will only be lifted up if he hears Ruu's voice, because like I said, he hold onto Ruu's promise that he will hear him sing again. And the thunderbird was also killed by the electro archon's kagemusha, idk why but I think it was because he put a curse on tsurumi island and the kagemusha saw it as a threat or something

Ruu's quest has a special place in my heart and this song made remembering that quest 100 times better.
I've finished Ruu's quest a few weeks ago, and it's one of the saddest quests ever. His song with these lyrics gave me goosebumps...
This song came out on my recommendations. As soon as I clicked the video, it got me emotional 😭. I haven't heard the song ever since I finished the quest.

I'm one of the players that ignored Ruu's story. Now I regret it so much when I've learned the whole story. Still, this song brings me back to that island and all the stories it brought when I witnessed them for the first time.
when you actually know what happened to ruu, this song is just heartbreaking.
First off, your voice is beautiful and you are so talented.
Second, you should totally make a song inspired by Lover's Oath (Guizhong's Lullaby). I feel like it would have just as much emotional power as this one.

From this song, I think the first verse is from Ruu himself and the 2nd verse is from the Thunderbird after Ruu sang.
I felt the emotion that you put in to this song I almost cried when I did ruu’s quest I could not play genshin impact for 3 weeks I was traumatized and the fact that he died more than once got me crying for 5 days and my parents were asking me what was wrong but they did not understand my emotions my emotions took over my heart💔❤️🩹🤕 as I said I could not play for 3 weeks and I was gaining primos for my favorite character but I was sad for 1 month ruu has a special place in my heart and no one can take that place but iam still sad about him and iam blessed that I found you shania your voice is Beautiful your song touched my heart truly your blessed shania thank you😭😭😭😭😭

At this point, the content that is motivated from Genshin itself is way too massive
This is just beautiful. Ruu's story is just so heartbreaking and my most favorite of all the stories in genshin. His kindness in just wanting his village to be better is just so touching.. 😭
