I got the Z Fold 5 back on Monday, my first Android phone since the Galaxy S3 (whenever that was lol), and I have been completely thrilled by it. It was frustrating learning how to do everything on Android after over a decade of being an iPhone user but I don't regret it.
I was surprised I enjoy the single screen mode as much as I do. I thought the aspect ratio would annoy me but being so thin but man it's so comfortable in the hands. The battery has been phenomenal as well. I haven't had to charge it before bed yet. Super happy with it.
Super happy with my Z Fold 5 after switching from S22 Ultra.
My wife got the Flip 3 when it came out. She likes the folding but she says the camera is sub par, and I agree. The flip 5 has the same cameras soooo.....We upgraded to the Fold 5 for each of us. The camera is much better and the internal screen is on the next level. I have had cell phones since 1999, and the Fold 5 is by far the best/fun of all the others up to the S20 ultra (which I liked for 3-1\2 years) and traded in along with her Flip 3 for $1000 each. So it was a no brainer. The cameras are great and will be better as more updates come. People complain that the external screen on the Fold 5 is thin..Go back 3 or so years and remember those screens? Z Fold 5 to me is at the point of foldables being worth the discounted money by less than a Thousand bucks.

My kinda guy lol. I hated the fold 3 so I traded it in for the flip5 and got a s23 ultra.

They’re essentially the same thing, it comes down to what you want, if you want a phone but wish it was more compact, flip, if you want a tablet but wish it was more compact, fold, compact or capability

Got my z fold 5 couple of days ago, I'm impressed
Traded in my s21 ultra for my first foldable phone and it is absolutely awesome, but the only problem I am having is I cannot get my AA wireless dongle to connect with Android auto my car screen just keeps saying sesrching for phone when everything is paired never had a connection issues with the s21 ultra.

Im with fold and flip 5 and in my tests Flip 5 was very better in details on photos. There's more texture and and definition.

I had the zflip 5 but sold it for the Razr plus. Which I liked better but either phone is great. I prefer the flips to the folding type, so much more pocketable. I use it on a belt holster and It's never in the way don't even know it's there. Until I need it. If the fold 5 was thinner like the honor foldable, well I would jump on it..

Good lock is the best thing about flip 5.
One thing I don't like about fold is the fact that the front display is just big enough to do everything...so I ended up not opening the phone very much which resulted in having a brick in mu pocket with a small display...
Flip forces me to open the phone which in terms makes the feature actually usable.
I love the cover display camera option on the flip!
It was hard for me to choose which phone I wanted either the the flip 5 or fold 5 and I chose the flip 5 do I regret it not at all its a great phone
I cant pick lol, the fold seems more my speed since i mostly just olay games and watch movies/videos on my phone. But i love the design of the Flip 5 better and it would be $0 a month vs $25 a month for the fold with my trade in.

A tip for everyone, whatever phone you get the darker colours make your phone look like a new model.
If you buy the colours it’s easier to see what make and model it is.
I have iPhone pro max in dark blue and ppl have always assumed it was the latest phone.

I've been a professional artist and photographer for decades with the Note being my device. The Flip's superior design makes me overlook many obvious shortcomings because I prefer it's size. I also have an Odyssey g9 on my desk for what it's worth. I look forward to Samsung ramping up the Flip each year hopefully.

I had z flip 5 the battery is really good sometimes I only put 85% when I'm staying home and when outside I use 100% still runs good it flip 5 can run out of battery for 5% but overall I can say the performance of z flip 5 is amazing

Guy here flip 5 too. But I understand your point. Fits girls' jeans better, can use main camera for selfies.
As a guy though who's work-centric, the simplicity of the cover display against distractions is a Godsend. Of course you could simply discipline yourself with a normal phone in hand, but let's face it, anyone looking at the fold and flip most likely has cash to spare for that small comfort.
