- Chad Hugo, one-half of the legendary Neptunes duo with Pharrell Williams, says he’s honored by the production team’s induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The hitmakers are part of the pandemic-delayed 2020 class which includes icons such as The Isley Brothers, Annie Lennox and Mariah Carey. (June 15)

Chad and Pharrell have produced so many timeless hits for so many different artists. Their catalog extremely diverse. And their induction into The Songwriters Hall of Fame is very well deserved 🖖🏽🫡
This man is a freakin music mastermind!! Idk what he does on the outside of creating legendary music, but he could teach his skills to aspiring producers, songwriters or just anybody that's interested in taking their music to the next level!
The Phineas and Ferb of Hip-Hop. Pharrel is Phineas, the extrovert. Chad is Ferb, introverted but the main beat maker.
You guys are not real Neptunes fans for saying things like this. The Neptunes present clones came with a behind the scenes dvd with raw footage. Chad hugo was actually the extrovert and pharrell the introvert. Also pharrell was the one who created the majority of the beats and chad Hugo was the one who added the details. I mean even to this day, pharrell’s beats sound like the Neptunes beats while songs produced by chad Hugo don’t really do.

@@cristobalbalenciaga7295 Also, REAL Neptunes fans love them both equally, and even if they don't (simply because it's always the frontman that gets the most attention), they don't compare them. The REAL fans see them as ONE in their legendary music production career.
Chad Hugo is a genius - star traks only 🖖
The Neptunes is one of the greatest producers to ever do it. Up there with Maurice White, jimmy jam and terry Lewis. Their music took me through some rough times and showed me how beautiful music can be. As a producer myself I have to bow down, am not worth lol.

Every the Neptunes fan mentions chad Hugo. People only mention pharrell when it’s songs produced by pharrell only. And he produced hundreds of hitsingles on his own. They have nothing to do with the Neptunes

@@EZ-IZZY1995 this ain’t that… something else happened. Watch this and his recent Hot 97 interview then watch any of Chad’s older interviews from the 2000s. It’s night and day, not even just talking appearance. His speech, his eyes, etc. All different. I hope it’s nothing serious.
