Also, one of the wikis has to be wrong about the Barrier Trio in some way. One of two options is true: 1. The Fandom wiki is wrong, and Kekkai-don refers to Barrier Dude while Kekkai-kun refers to Barrier Man (which doesn't make much sense) 2. WikiBound is wrong, and Barrier Man's call makes the trio weak to lightning while Barrier Dude's call makes them weak to fire. Fandom in general just seems more like to get something like this wrong, but I'm leaning toward WikiBound having it mixed up, since the Fandom wiki being wrong in this instance means Tomato has some explaining to do.
@@Falcon15x yeah its a trade of damage for speed which isn’t ideal for speedrunning so its better to mash it so you can get a 2-3 hit in rapid succession to not waste as much time. In addition combo hits aren’t really necessary, mainly a cute battle mechanic for peeps to somewhat understand beat signatures when listening to the battle music

I was so confused about why the translation team would turn "Uzushio" into "Eddy," not knowing that "eddy" is another word for "whirlpool"

Its kinda weird to speedrun an rpg, but people will speedrun anything.
How come you don't try for hit combos? Dont they rack up a ton of damage?
Not in particular, the combos are very weak.
For speed is my guess
Extra damage doesn't outweigh the time it takes to get it, it may only be a second or two but that adds up quick over a 6 hour run
