Any class B or C (radar environments) will have a discrete code for departures. After clearing the area, you will be instructed to squawk VFR, so enter 1200 at that time.

Shouldn't the squawk be 1200? Why'd the controller issue you 1562?

I use the TCA boeing yoke, honeycomb bravo throttle quadrant and the TPR rudder pedals
