While I understand the frustration with the high prices of Toyota trucks made in Mexico, it’s important to consider the broader economic context. The money printed to cover mismanaged taxpayer dollars has led to a devaluation of the currency, driving up prices across the board. If you’re hoping for prices from the past, you may need to brace for future vehicles being built in places like China or India, where labor costs are lower. The global economy and currency factors play a significant role in what we pay for products today.
Your right, the 23 tacomas were selling like crazy, sometimes faster than they could build them. These trucks were proven solid with very few and often minor issues. When toyota released the details and pricing of the 24 tacoma, well...the writing was already on the wall at that point. Toyota probably shouldve kept the 2.7 & 3.5 and added in the 2.4 turbo and hybrid powertrains as options for 4 or 5 years before phasing them out. While the 23 is a different platform, not including bumbstops on the new platform was just dumb.

Americans love buying new cars…..keep what you have until at least 10 years old and pass it down
You can get cheaper and more reliable vehicles in supposedly "third world countries".
Does that imply that the US is worse off than a "third world country"?
I love my Ridgeline. It’s not a real pickup. Honda reliable and good resale value . Reasonable price and I drove on south padre island on the beach no issues. Drove in the deep loose stuff. And it’s ugly no one will steal it including the wheels..
All of the pickups are junk now. I'll keep the 2017 tacoma I have with 35000 miles on it. It's payed for. It will last.
Can you talk about the Supra prices
Toyota is high off their own farts these days. Toyota has always been overrated but these days they are basically ford tier with insane high prices and loaded with problems and recalls
Trash isn't worth any amount.
GREED KILLS ALL😂😂
I wouldn’t buy that piece of junk. Toyota screwed the pooch on these. I’ll keep my 2018
Personally I believe you’re shopping in the wrong places. I have seen base model SR’s at $31,000.00 MSRP, so while some of those prices are extremely high, you need to go to a different dealer.
Thomas, just checked one of my local Toyota dealers online.....new 2024 Tacoma SR 4x4 crew cab is right at $40k......less than where you are but still too much IMO....your thoughts?
Sieber goes off sticker price.... I bet if you go online and compare the MSRP he is presenting vs what the dealer is advertising, it's a different story
@lonewolf4827 I am seeing discounts on 2024 Tacoma up to 5000 off before even negotiating so dealerships are definitely discounting 24 Tacoma, but I personally really miss the V6 in the last generation
@tenfourproductionsllc
Sieber definitely does not go off the sticker price when I purchase a vehicle like I mentioned in a lot of my videos, negotiate negotiate negotiate and you need to know that Toyota has gulf state port add-ons in certain states in other states you can save thousands without those additional BS add-ons that don’t give the vehicle any additional value the problem with dealership advertising is a lot of people don’t trust it, especially online, but some dealerships are being upfront and honest others are lying but always do you research to get the best deal
@@WheelsandWallets 4 banger with a turbo....no thanks 👎
I will never buy a brand new car
All good with my 2109 V6 Avalon. 0-60 same as a 1987 Corvette, but in plush quiet!
u have a 2109 Avalon? lol...and they dont build that anymore either
That's more than I paid for my '24 SR5 Tundra!
Hope prices aren't going up in 2025 also😢
Wait till your boy puts in his tariffs he doesn't understand 😅😅
@karonwells8481 he had tarrifs during his first term and the economy was a lot better than this current administration. Keep crying that the hyena lost.
@@karonwells8481 didnt you watch the video the Tacomas are made in Mexico were the employees are paid 12 dollar per day and they are charging over 50k for it, hope he puts tariffs on this greedy ass companies.
@@karonwells8481gotta do something tho ?! Can’t just sit by like the last 4 years of the car market. Hopefully they’ll start selling $20-30k vehicles for the McDonald’s employees soon 😂
@@WorkingOnRocks least of my worries. 4 cars in my yard all crank up and run. 3 paid for lmao. And I work from home
GM and Ford just announced their best sales year since 2019.... Maybe not as bad as people are making it to be for them..... Nissan and Stellanis however...
2021 trd sport manual transmission bought for 38.5k just 3 years ago. I'm gonna drive that thing for another decade
Only someone who don't know MatH would buy a new truck or car
The auto industry is done😂😂😂
I wouldn't buy any of the new stuff with YOUR money. Ford gm stelly toyo , all garbage.
i wont buy a new vehicle period..ill keep my 14 CTS thats paid..no problems in 10 years..fuck these new cars/trucks...more and more plastic...dinky engines, crap transmission..hard pass
Oh c'mon man, you take prices so personal. Nothin' personal, its just business 😎🤣🤣
Ok, let’s just go with simple greed 😮. A conglomerate will try to minimize cost and maximize profits, doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out😂. My issue is as this man is saying, just pass some of those minimalizing of costs, and pass it on to the customer rather than giving the CEO a few million for a bonus. Is it really that hard to comprehend in this day and age? 😂😂
Waayyy too much even for a Tacoma. Just silly especially with Toyota reliability issues lately.
.......................... Of course they have a lot of trucks... It's a dealership, they sell them. Not Shocking.
4 cylinders ... 😵💫
As though it matters.
They want 83k euro for the Land Cruiser in Germany 2.8 4 cly diesel 204 hp nope.
Btw don't be afraid to be seen in a Kia Rio.
Honda Fit no later than 2015. Simple, made in Japan, excellent MPG. This is all a lot of people need for normal commuting to work, grocery store, kids etc. It's crazy the amount of people that get big trucks or AWD cars/suvs and never put any use to it.
Just say NO !!!!
Want to end at 70 broke...buy one.
Funny how the ones who want a truck at 1980's pricing are screaming "let it rot" but i have yet to see a truck ( or car) on a lot, rotting 😂
