Navigating and parking in any major city on the East Coast begs for a sedan. I want to trade in my 2015 Cadillac ATS but finding a similar sedan has been a challenge.
The dealerships may be part of the problem but most of the blame lies within the GM corporation. It is they who have raised wholesale prices to the dealers. Same for the other companies.
I was at a dodge dealership service yesterday a guy bought a 2024 ram pulled in for 1st oil change the back rotors were rusted out bad because it sat on lot so much guy was pissed dealership did nothing for him . Lot rottttttt
Saw 2 of those unique cars in the wild of Boston Massachusetts area just yesterday same day, market for those is probably really decent here in the north east
I've always wondered what the deal was with thos Ineos! There are a couple that roam the streets of Park City, UT. I seem them out and about now and then. Really random. Not a common vehicle.
correct me if im wrong please but i thought most if not all dealers make their money with service center/detail center? it thought they usually broke even with car sales? well maybe not "broken even" but regardless i thought most the dealers income was service centers?
Chevy gets rid of the Malibu people go to Hyundai and Kia not Chevrolet not even general motors. What are these people thinking? They sure know how to destroy a company.
Ive recently seen some new trucks a 2017 with 98 miles on it for 58K. There were others to at a local dealer various years under a 100 miles on them . I do not know if they just got them or had them .
Their Trax is only relatively inexpensive to buy compared to the average inflated car price. But they get you at maintenance time. $600 headlights, wet timing belts, direct injection and a turbo. All sing, cha ching at maintenance time.
that SUV you showed at 3:00 is a little popular in Los Angeles. I don't think it's a really special car. Land cruiser or LX 570 is very rare and in high demand. they have the best build quality. LA has a strange fake car culture. people just buy rare cars to express other people. you will be surprised to find many people driving an expensive car but rent an apartment.
GM, Ford, Stelantis just a few examples of how to do business the wrong way. You get vehicles made like crap, and then add ridiculous fees for insane profits. I hope they get to sit on those vehicles for years and lose a ton of money.
I find it hard to believe that there is no market for sedans. Do people really want these crappy SUVs that sound like they are about to blowup when your merging on the highway? I'm holding into my v6 impala for life lol.
People want SUVs for space for their families and supplies. They really just want the extra room and I think that's fair to want something sedans usually can't provide.
Maybe if they invested in quality assurance from more than 10 years so they wouldn't be running into this issue. Chevy is Not buick, but for some strange reason they decide to market towards my grandma's generation. i would Never get a chevy and i love the buick brand but unfortunately GM Never has any faith in any product they put out there for the general public
It's no secret, all these new vehicles, regardless of brand, are poorly made and over priced. May all these dealerships go belly-up.
Dealerships have no control over vehicle build quality, and the manufacturers are mostly to blame for increasing prices to dealers.
To make things worse the dealerships have some ridiculous add ons prices as well.
@lavarcooper757 The way to get around that one is to have them order one for you and make them deliver it to you without the add ons.
@joewoodchuck3824 right...😂😂

Bought my last GM vehicle back in 2013 (Corvette) Still have it but no desire to ever own a GM as a daily driver..Mazda owner since 2017 & happy..
Chevy makes absolutely nothing I want. I do not want a bloated boring suv or a truck. They have turned their backs on the car market.
I would walk right over to that Honda dealership. affordable Civic with some nice options? Yes please. An Accord? Absolutely.
Theyre far from boring and well engineered
@GUITARSTYLINGSSAMUELLETIZIA how are they not one of the most boring SUVs on the road?
I like V8s but I would not get one with cylinder deactivation, especially from G.M.
Cars are junk too.
Look at the date on the tires. It'll give you a roundabout figure when it was built
Can the vin be looked up as well?
Oh come on. 🙄 Open the driver’s door and the build date is on the sticker

Yesterday my brain was like "look up a 1972 Chevy Blazer" and I soon realized wbat older folks were telling me. The old shit has the personality.
All part of the communist/WEF bland buildings/cars no personality for anyone get in line poor ppl. Eat ze bugz 🐛🐞 2030 agenda
When a suburban costs just as much as escalade why would you get one unless you wanted a diesel?

Dealers are not negotiating on price! Take it or leave it. There are enough suckers to keep them in big profits.
Can't repair a new car yourself or even get a headlight bulb in

How different the Japanese and domestic thought process are.
I've never heard of an Ineos Grenadier, let alone seen one. Seems like a vehicle that most owners wouldn't trade in after finding one.
If you are stupid enough to buy a vehicle that cost $80K and in five years depreciated to $30K you are being ‘Sucker Punch’.
I've seen multiple Ineos Graniders in person around town

2.7 is more reliable than the current 5.3…
Chevy in 2024 was the most profitable company in auto sales. Not worth keeping for a long time. If I were to get one I would lease.
Man this is great
At least they make a good EV! Wouldn't touch anything ICE with a turbo. My 2023 Bolt's been flawless for 35k miles.
youre right, not everyone wants to drive a bus or a truck and pay what theyre asking..
One of our clients has 1.
Thats a cool jeep.
you should stop by the northwest Arkansas dealerships

what the hell is "market adjustment?"
Markup
More money you spend
It's when they bend you over and... well, you know.
Its a "f you" cuz i can
Same as ADM
I make decent money, well decent for 2019 standards. I'm priced out of the market.
$27K for a Malibu?!?
But but but Gm just said they beat toyota in sales and sold all these cars.
The bean counters are destroying the Automobile industry.

There is plenty of market for sedans. People are going to Hyundai Kia honda toyota and Nissan. Why should ford and chevy keep making those.

Very durable, with a power train by BMW…😂😂
BMW B58 engine and ZF 8 speed are both pretty solid choices for a powertrain.

It’s just “unique” never “very unique”.
