It's very cool that the person playing the game stops to check everything, items in the inventory, items in the shop, and even books or inscriptions, even if they're not required to progress the game, just for the benefit of the viewer, who may pause the video to read everything. That's a very well made playthrouh.
Yes exactly what I was looking for. The other one I tried just kept moving through areas where nothing was to fast. But I wanted to explore and see what there was. (And to anyone who's going to say just buy the game for yourself. Money is tight right now.)

You forgot the part where his ENTIRE HAND COMES OFF, then by some mystical phenomena and a bit of chem wash it's back to a fully functioning hand and firing shotguns. Aside from the transformations the evil characters had, he seems more immortal than the rest of them haha.

I never beat the game or better yet have the game but, hearing Ethan talking and thinking about Rose fills me with compassion and legitimately gentle. Like a big scary but gentle black grizzly bear with white trousers and always wear a scarf to cover his teeth so kids won't be scared of him, he will always say "I may be scary to you, but I don't want to hurt you. I want to protect you, really." Imagine that.

Playing through the baby part in VR with surround sound would make my skin crawl. That part is by far the most unsettling.

The whole game is Ethan demonstrating his fatherly love by going against brutal, increasingly terrifying odds for the sake of his daughter. Him literally exhausting his life to save her and using his last minutes to ensure she would be safe is kind of fitting with the story, you know?
It's so fucking satisfying watching someone that knows how to aim and actually hit the majority of their shots in this game.

While we love Ethan's heroism, I always admired Duke the first time I saw him in the teaser. And not only that, Duke helped him one last time taking him to face off Miranda in an awesome final battle.

The ending was bittersweet and tastefully done.
Ethan's character was very well written especially when it came to his devotion to his family in both RE7 and VILLAGE. One of the best endings in the RE franchise.

Took me two weeks to watch all of this, cause i dont have all the time in the world. But two weeks later, i just wanna come here and give a kudos for an amazing playthrough, with a really decent aim and skill expression, that still covered a good part of side content and opened all the lore notes for the viewers to read, even tho the player clearly played the game before and probably already read through it. The Village of Shadows is based on Village, The girl is Rosemary, The Mother is Mia, The Bat Lord is Alcina Dimitrescu, The Dark Weaver is Donna Beneviento, The
Fish King is Salvatore Moreau, The
Iron Steed is Karl Heisenberg, and
The Witch is Mother Miranda.
Beneviento was kinda lack of excitement at the end after all the tension and fear instilling, it end just like that. i was expecting she would fight with her human form and torturing the player more.
That mutated baby was freaking scary though
Quite spooky looking but compared to everything else in the game it wasn't that much of a threat.
Turned the game into Outlast/PT for a hot second, though I do appreciate the psychological horror of that segment
@@venom_ross Yes, another thing is, both 1st & 2nd house have thick spooky atmosphere, dark and the feeling of being hunted.
Then that pressure in reservoir zone is just gone or too weak compared to the previous 2 houses, it missing the feel of being the prey, plus seeing how weak the 2nd boss. It gives the player sense of safety.

From the similar boss themes, especially the fish one, to Duke basically being the merchant it was pretty bizarre.

It really gave me some silent hill p.t vibes. Specially the laughing big baby. Must be a nod for kojima!
At the end, it seems like she's just out of options since can't do anything to harm Ethan after he escaped from the "daa daa" , her hallucination tactic doesn't really do real damage and petty attacks wont kill him.
A desperate attempt to scare him away I guess.

Just getting around to this game. So much of his battles in this game would be so much easier if this guy upgraded and used the weapons that were ACTUALLY stronger than the pistol he loves so much😂. I love this game lots! I just wish that they soon add a feature to return to the map after completing the game to freely roam around, pick up items, explore, and hunt down random wandering enemies. It would be a good endgame feature in addition to Mercenaries mode.
The end credits state “ The Fathers Story is Finished” does this mean his Daughters story is just beginning?

They really didn't think the dialogue through in the fight with the last of Dimitrescu's daughters why would she say "why are you doing this?" "You'll kill me" like uh yeah because you're trying to kill me??? Like it's so out of place tbh
Same with when you run into Lady Dimitrescu again while exploring "so we finally meet" uh no you've met a few times already and it's so disconnected considering you've killed two out of her three daughters already lol
Language can be a little confusing, but i assure you it makes sense. When lady dimitrescu says that, shes just having a pretentious sarcastic way of saying "there you are". As for the daughters, i dont think they have ever been threatened by a human before. Likely shes in shock and afraid. "Why are you doing this" is more of a HOW are you doing this. She's in panic. "You'll kill me" is her seeing the situation she has trapped herself into. Of all the prey shes killed, never once being scratched, and someone figured it out how to kill her, and with her delusions and disconnection of mortality is showing. Hope that helps!
@@blushmote exactly, based from lady D's scattered notes they were reborn as another type of specie other than human so they do not have the memory of their previous human flesh. After that, they might have been taught that everything besides them are just prey.(just like us human when we do get hurt by smaller animals). The rest is what we see in the gameplay.
I really enjoyed this game. At the moment I’m battling Miranda and I live how the game isn’t short or hasn’t felt short at all. I know this game has to end in some way but I wish I could just play it for ever. I’ll update once I’m done with everything.
