@@sailronin David, I can't answer your question about Zippers, but I am looking to purchase a 20 low rider S and I've discovered that Moonshine Harley in TN will build a wild engine and their dealership will cover the balance of your bike's warranty. Seriously thinking about making the 500 mile drive to Moonshine, although I only live 80 miles from Zippers. I really want to do Zipper's, but the warranty is an big question. I hope someone answers your question.
It is so cool to see this series. I love watching these engines get built up. The more knowledge out there, the more people can learn to wrench on their own on these new engines. This is awesome. I just watched Motorcycle Mick's video on tiers of power for Harley engines too. haha.
It's good to see your inner truck driver in you come out but congrats on the new upgrades the smiling is just priceless it's like Christmas all over again man she sounds good an mean take care an god bless
You had the grin when you arrived, that's the same grin I had when I brought my 18 sgs into for the stage 2 kit upgrade. The anticipation was killing me and I know exactly how you felt man, looking forward to the rest in this series, cheers.
You always do a great job with your videos, to the point and not a lot of worthless babbling to fill in time... so anxious for the rest of this build videos... oh by the way I'm still jealous.. lol..take care God bless
Love this build. I may do this to my Sport Glide down the road. I'm curious to see what the longevity and reliability is like over the next couple years. God bless.
Power/torque is a whole lotta fun but reliability, long tour reliability will be interesting. Soon you will find out. There’s no other way to build a motorcycle engine but “proper”. Congrats on the super build.
So how do you feel about giving up the H-D warranty? Is there any warranty after the build, or do you have to take it back to Zippers? Is there any warranty from them, or is it just a hot build and you are on your own, back home? I think I would have done this after the H-D warranty ran out.
AZPackerfan for my own knowledge and bike.... I’d love to do the same but personally, I would hate to drive back to the east coast from down south for a repair. Plus I’d hate for anyone else to touch it for any repairs.
AZPackerfan the H-D warranty isn’t worth a crap anyways. The second you do most modifications, it’s over. These bikes need the aftermarket support due to cheap parts internally.
They only built up the top end; got to wonder if the bottom end will be able to handle the upgrade. The extra compression is going to make the bike harder to start. Will be interested to see how you will like this upgrade down the road.
GREAT video TT wish i lived near Zippers i would do the same conversion done on my SGS ,long way to come from France though, looking forward to next episode .
How are the quick install pushrods saving time and effort if the shop is taking off the heads for this build? Actually, in this particular scenario, it seems like using adjustable pushrods will take longer to install and adjust.
Lol, Monster Bagger. No, I saw monster bagger it was their shop bike, which happens to be a Black Street Glide Standard. Check out there video. th-cam.com/video/gglUVJt2d5c/w-d-xo.html
I’m sure it will be a blast to ride! Be safe and enjoy it!! What would this upgrade cost the average person? One who doesn’t have TH-cam , TH-cam income and sponsors etc. No pun intended.
Ive used both(adj/solid) on big builds. One of the Downfalls to these builds is high lift cams and Tappet wear. The adj's allow u to go in and replace tappets easily and NOT take the heads off. If youre like me and ride 15-18K miles a year, get adjustable. I was leery of them when they first came out. Until i saw a friend break a valve spring and the adj push rod was fine.
Because they have a great product and a great reputation. Zipper's Performance is deeply rooted in performance V-Twins. My 2018 street glide special hot rod red flake stage 3 120 lbs of torque 111 hp tormentor head pipe tab performance slipons with zombie baffles and you know what this bike still only goes to 110 mph after awhile just money down the drain .
Mount a go pro so I can see your phone with mph on your GPS. I want to see top speed. Dyno sheet is one thing. How fast your willing to go is another. Or why spend the money.
Brilliant thought...ride your bike as fast as it can go. How fast your willing to go is another. Smh...not everyone has that need for speed or is stupid enough to push a machine to its limits regardless risking their safety and life. If you do I hope you carry a squeegee in your saddlebag so we can scrape you off the road or bridge.
Believe me, they had the ability to through more coals on the fire! However, I wanted something that I can still run Coast to Coast on and perform when I needed it to. They built exactly what I was looking for. Let me say this, if, you want more power, they have it ready and waiting for you. They have a couple of offering that will knock your socks off! The Sporster kit is a monster! The M8 Muscle kit is insane! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I enjoy your videos and understand your excitement for the build, however I feel you’ve lost 100% of your warranty which may not effect you especially if this bike is your keeper. When it comes time to sell or trade you can expect to receive pennies on the dollar because long term reliability is out the window. Not to mention the cost to upgrade the suspension and brakes if one truly expects to ride this motorcycle. Good luck and enjoy it as this is part of the “making it yours experience” and for some myself included IS ALL THAT MATTERS. Ride forever G BeWingInIt.
Thanks for the comment. I bought it to make it my own, that's one of the reasons I bought a Street Glide Standard, I knew that I'd rather take the extra money and make it my own. I know that's not for everyone and that's ok. I myself can't allow the fear of what could happen to fence me in from the freedom of truly enjoying my motorcycle. If I limited myself by all the possibilities and uncertaintys of unforeseen incidents I wouldn't be riding a motorcycle. As for depritaion, how is the bike any different from people sending there cars to Hennessy Racing or Dinan for BMW's. The bike is built by a World Record Motorcycle Racing title holding team in there factory 100 feet away from the parts that they manufacture and ship in the US and internationally. I have no plans of selling or trading it. Thanks for watching G Bewinginit.
Harley's are slow as compared to the other makes, but if you want to make it faster Harley will sell you a kit made up of items that should have been on the bike in the first place, and they are making a bunch off of the kits. Wake up guy's!!!
Thanks for watching. :) Gold wings are awesome bikes. Check out my test ride of 2018 Goldwing. When did Goldwings start making 130 hp at the rear wheel and 150 torque? Is that something that they have done for 2020?
Traveling Tall cycle world has the 2020 numbers at 97hp 108tq. But every dyno is different. I’ve seen guys on Harley’s with stage 4 kits still get beat by stock gold wings.

adjustable pushrods seem like a waste on this build since the jugs and heads were off
