- Budget now vise options for your DIY bow shop
Check out this head to head video ranking Hunt Map Apps: • OnX VS. GoHunt VS. Hun...
In an effort to create my own bow shop, I wanted a bow vise that wasn't $400. Here are some options and my final pick...and it was roughly $30.

Should check out the BowBar bow vise, its a ball head vise for under 200 bucks and only a couple bucks over 200 if you want complete micro adjust
I grip mine on the stabilizer. Seems to me to work the best.
@1:15 how is the build quality on this vice. This does what I want and I will probably buy one but I'm concerned about sloppy play in the manufacturing due to the fact its a the generic $150 ebay vice. Is it quick to set when leveling the bow or does it sag (slop) a little after tightening a joint. Is it sturdy or does it have a tendency to wobble?
I would say it was pretty solid…I don’t believe there was sloppy play like there was with the other vices.
I looked at dedicated bow vises$$$....considered bike clamp vises....looked at the cheapie you mentioned at 1:50. I chose the Stanley MaxSteel Multi Angle Vise (83-069) and I truly could not be more impressed with it. Strong, well built and $55. It might not be right for every bow but for my recurve it's ideal. Thanks for your vid!
Thanks for the feedback
Definitely attach it to your stabilizer. My stabilizer is a micro diameter one and it won’t work on it, but I have an old stabilizer that I put on when I need to use the vise.
Good point. Thanks for the feedback!
When u have a chance could you add links to all 3 in description.
