I was able to book my entire honeymoon (a week at an all-inclusive Secrets resort in Riviera Maya) for only $370 total for flights and hotel with Chase points. Thank you Daniel for posting videos like these!
@@JCproductionspr my fiancé and I both got the Chase Saphire Preferred and with the signup bonuses, referrals, and using the card for a bit we were able to save enough points fairly quickly. Highly recommend transferring your points to Hyatt and airline partners!

@@Daniel_Brauncan you help me book business class flights for next month? I'm not a total beginner, but I still have a hard time redeeming points for business class flights at a good rate 😢
Great video Daniel. I have the CFF and booked my 1st hotel trip thru the Chase Portal to take advantage of the 5% multiplier. I am just holding on to the points for now until I get the CSP in a few months. I have learned a lot of how to redeem points from your videos and this one was good because it went over all the options. I thank you that you gave a hotel example in this video.
I just used your advice to use my CSP points on a Hyatt hotel that price was $550 a night for $9000 points. The points were transferred within minutes to Hyatt. So that was a quick process, and from the 0.01 perspective, I am getting a $ 550-a-night hotel for $90 worth of reward points.
Very useful stuff, many thanks! On the flight point redemption bonus offer, like the one you mention at 17:32 and 19:30 .... how often do those sort of point bonuses run, for how long and how does Chase alert you about them (or where do you look for them)?
ive been watching your videos for over a year now dawg, i only i have two comments; 1.- videos are becoming more simple and clear; which is good. 2.- thanks dude xd
The timing of this video is crazy, I just applied for a chase card and am now trying to figure out how to maximize points for travel and saw you had posted this an hour ago! It also seems like from what I've read and gathered from your video, the portal itself does not provide much value. My question is, have you ever come across something to book in the travel portal that is more valuable than using a partner?
Another great video. Question, what's the best way to keep an eye on chase transfer bonuses? Do you just check your chase account often, or is there a way to get alerts when bonuses happen?
Awesome video Daniel! Really simple and easy to follow. Been trying to save up some chase points myself for a potential trip. Hopefully can make it happen. Just want to make sure to get the best redemption for my points and this video definitely helps to see what to look for.
Great video as always! Just got approved for a Freedom Flex to begin my move into building my Chase trifecta 😊 Question: Can I enjoy similar travel benefits with this card until I get my CSP? Also what is best practice for how often to use points before they’re devalued? Thanks for all the tips and advice! Very clear and beginner-friendly ❤
This video was fantastic. We are planning a trip to Hawaii next year and have been saving up our CSP hoping to do at least premium economy but only saw United as a travel partner but knowing we have partner airlines and how to compare and hopefully save outside the portal will be a game changer.
Thank you for taking the time to make such an amazing video. You truly helped with taking the time of how to redeem points in every way. Truly appreciate it and amazing video for sharing the knowledge with us.
Absolutely. I will say if you want to fly a lot on United and want free first/business class upgrades, you get the best redemptions with airline premium cards like Chase's United Club. On US domestic United award flights, if you have status you are excluded from the complimentary upgrade list. The only way to get on the complimentary list is to have an United credit card. The card also gives 10% off saver award flights. You earn nearly double the miles on United flights and up to $10K in PQP/spend which effectively earns 5% which can help you go to next status tier which means you will be higher up the list for complimentary upgrades. All this flights count towards your 1M mile lifetime status
@@Daniel_Braun Hi Daniel & Thank You For Your YT Vids👍Also, would You please elaborate on Chase's 'Pay Yourself Back' Feature specifically when it comes to utilizing Chase's 'Pay Yourself Back' Feature for The Charities listed via Chase : that'd be much appreciated & Thank You In Advance Daniel🤗 RE : @ 6:57 Of This Fantastic YT Vid Of Yours
So basically for the pay yourself back thing - if you made for example a $100 to an eligible charity by using your Sapphire Preferred, you could “erase” that purchase or basically “pay yourself back” using 8,000 points. Using the CPP equation, that’s $100 in the charity contribution you make at first / 8,000 chase points redeemed = 1.25 cents per point. Hopefully that explains it more!

Quick question: I notice you're calculating the total in the travel portal but without adding the value of the rate at which you gain back points (5x or 10x) - doesn't it also add value to the total in your equation?
Do you have any videos on when to book a hotel with cash through Chase Travel portal vs booking with the Hotel directly? I'm new to the points game here and trying to figure out if it's worth spending extra cash to get the extra points multiplier if I book through chase travel portal, when the same hotel is a little bit cheaper if i book direct. Thanks!
Create video as usual. Have you heard any word of the fabled 100K point welcome bonus with Chase Sapphire? Also, is there a way to trigger the 80K Welcome bonus?
It sounds like the only time I should transfer points vs booking in the Chase portal is when there is award/bonus availability. Am I understanding that correctly?
Of course it depends on what you value and sometimes there are exceptions. With that said Chase is good however it depends on what kind of person you are because not everybody is a money guy.
What do you think about paying some in points and some cash for flights or hotels? I like to take multiple trips and getting one entirely free will take a lot longer than “subsidizing” multiple trips with points.
Thank you for this video. I have a small business and currently have the chase ink cash (1.5% back) and the personal citi 2% back. I wanted to acquire a new business chase: preferred, hyatt or IHG. Do you have a video breaking these down or have a preference. I wanted to use my cc for traveling now since it's been getting more expensive. TIA
Something that all the TH-camr points don't say is that.... There are flights that are cheaper with points + money than paying all with points... For example .... NYC to BCN ,with promotions(which they have a lot)there are like $350 to $450 round-trips(if you know how to search, patience), with points there are like 45,000points + money, however these flights normally show 650 to 900$ round-trip. What I am saying is that it could be more beneficial redeeming points as 1 CPP than buying a whole flight with points. That 400 ticket will be 100$ if you only redeem 30,000 points instead of 45,000 + money. If you have any questions, don't mind asking, we are all in the same boat 😜😊. Btw Daniel explains how to use them, not how you should do it. Edit: I am talking about economy flights mostly.... Business is another story 😜.... But can be treated the same.
