Department of Developmental Therapy at NIPMR - Thrissur

National Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (NIPMR) is an autonomous Institution under the Social Justice Department. NIPMR designs, develops and implements therapeuticals, educational, vocational and awareness programmes in disability for the service providers, who are working for the care and cause of children/persons with disabilities for their rehabilitation and mainstreaming in the society.
Developmental therapy provides ongoing developmental assessments to young children and support for families in home based settings. Early intervention for high risk and at risk children who may have developmental delays are the main focus. Early intervention improves and enhances the development of the children with developmental delays.
