I have literally always been dumbfounded by roofs when I'm trying to build in games and I always give up and go for a cube lol. Thank you for this fantastic video ill be taking a lot from it🤦🏽♀️
I really like your instructional videos. My biggest problem with roofs in Conan is with large round buildings and/or domes. I always seem to be fighting stability issues.
You pretty much always will unfortunately, wedge pieces are far less efficient with stability than square ceilings. You can get around it with some tactfully placed pillars, but its always gonna be a fine battle of stability vs size
Ohhh the amount of anxiety from roofs is just arrrgh!!! I get these amazing building ideas and then the titanium wall of NO comes crashing down when I hit the roof part >< As always an awesome video!
Thank you for the awesome video! Learned a TON just watching it. I'm stuck, though, trying to figure out how to connect a square, then a wedge, then another square so they form kind of an S pattern. I cannot wrap my head around how to make the roof pieces connect properly. If you have any advice, I'm all ears! Thanks again, can't wait to see more!
Roofing is tricky at the best of time. My best advice is to sorta go with the flow, take the time to do trial and error and work out what pieces go where and what pieces don't go in certain places. That's honestly the best way to practically learn

Agreed, the bigger benches are a nightmare for builds, the Map Room is especially problematic. One way to get around it is to have multiple smaller crafting rooms, but the stability system and large benches definitely cause a lot of issues

Argo and Aquilonian both mix really well with water, maybe try to incorporate some natural water into your build!

They're awning pieces, designed for balconies. They slope at half the incline of regular roof pieces
what mod are you using for the big arrows on building peices?
How are you flying and be able to put on construction pieces ?

Stop making benches bigger which require a bigger room , which in turn needs a bigger roof span, and make the tiles stronger.

This game hates it when your trying to bulid a big roof with slopes, been trying to fix it for 4 hours now.
You're likely having stability issues, I'd always recommend smaller varied roofs on a big structure rather than one massive one
