I'm on a pve conflict server and was working on building a small village. They said it was against their building restrictions, that all animal pens, shrines, and benches need to be inside and that we can only build a 40x40 structure. So basically we are forced to sacrifice any artistic designs for a functional box.
One of my favorite things to do is create houses on water, with an underwater entrance, which works much better since they introduced hatches (like a moon pool entrance, but with a door). I even did one that had rooms underwater with my chests in them, so I had to be real sure what box I wanted when getting stuff.
😂 It’s all good. Thanks for being a good sport, and recognizing that I was just busting your chops. I’m definitely a fan of your content, and I’m looking forward to more in the future!
as potential pvp that has experience in ark you could put various nicely level pets in the buffer area (may need to make it 2 wide so they can get a to a food trough to eat , they can be snakes scorpion, reapers that deal poison damage added with hard hitting creatures that do sunder cripple and/ore bleed you can instead set up a combo of vapor /exploding trap that when stepped on goes off? lots of fun to have it
For the bridge at 6:56 when you said 9 tile long, I believe if you put a foundation and brought a 1x1 column of walls up to be a thick pillar, you could make it a total of 17 tiles long right? Using certain wall types to accent the bridge would make the column a good fit and a very long bridge supported by only 1 "pillar".
With this method, the maximum length is 8 tiles long so yeah, with a single central support you could reach 16 tiles. However, there is a way to go even longer, up to 24 tiles with a single central support
@@InnaciKorushka The new Level 20 Expertise perk allows you to build 6 tiles away from any source of 100 stability, so therefore you can do 6 on either side to reach a 12 tile bridge, thus 24 tiles with a central supporting column
i love making masterpieces that rest on a single pillar.. they look massive and walls cover the one single thread that will destroy it all.. then i like to have my friends over and take a tour, set up a gallery for them to watch, and pull the string out.. i do this because i use the building mechanism as a form of meditation and it would be improper to get attached to such things IRL..
Love the themed buildings guides. Was wondering if you had any tips for buildings with Stygian/Egyptian aesthetics? Pyramids, Palaces, and Temples to Set, that kind of thing.
I do indeed! My recent Mitra temple is an egyptian-style build, along with a couple more with some egyptian influence. As for Stygian, I have some requests for Stygian builds that I'm hopefully going to be doing soon
Love your video's, they've helped me alot with my buildings. I would love to see what kind of base you an come up with for Swagger Rock in the Savannah.
I spent days building a huge home and came back the next day and most of it was gone. Didn't realize that if you don't have foundation everywhere the structure disappears.

Yes and no, it depends. If you bolster the exterior with Palisade walls and archer towers then it could work, though building a house on stilts is more of a roleplay idea. Apparently you can avoid purges entirely using column bases somehow, but I haven't tried it out myself
Hey Erad, I got a couple of builds posted on my channel, and I have been working on some crazy builds as of late. Care to give your opinion on any of them? I really do appreciate a second opinion on my work.
As a pve builder, I'm thrilled to see any vids that help players make attractive structures rather than pure utilitarian boxes. Nice work!
Glad you enjoyed the video Shane! :)

I like how when you make a mistake, you leave it in the film - like with the sloped roof pieces - it reinforces the correct process to the viewer.

Anyone else find themselves counting how many times he said “video” at the beginning 😂 all kidding aside, great videos, sir 👍
Bruh don't 😂 I sometimes write stuff like that into the script then only realize after publishing 😂

When building on water I like to place a trap door with lader going down to fish traps for easy food and oil.
