Low-cost housing is great, but there's the issue of WHERE CAN WE PUT THEM that won't cost a fortune. Landlords are notorious for continually raising rent to try to squeeze more profit out of captive tenants. It's the same shady business as it has always been. That is why we keep having a bubble burst every decade. They are what makes everything in the economy crash. Maybe the new Administration will start investigating all the housing gougers and those that take advantage of the lower income earning citizens who are just looking for affordable housing. Supply and demand, my a$$. They are gouging the public. I have first-hand experience with these shady people and we need the Trump Administration to put them on notice that they will be paying huge fines if they are found to be profiteering exorbitantly on low quality housing for low-income tenants.
