Loving these videos. I watch them on Saturday mornings with my kids. It’d be pretty cool if you occasionally posted the amount of time it takes for each stage in the videos. I’m sure the finish work takes a ton more time than most people realize.
The amazing thing about Trilobites, is even if you mess up the mold with the numerous variants of Trilobites no one could notice! Also, a bronze Trilobite would be a cool paperweight for my desk.
There is something about these ancient and fascinating creatures that makes me yearn to see a living specimen . Wonderful artistic work on them. Thank You.
I just recently found your channel and of all the metal casters I have seen you are by far the best. Your work is clean and you explain what you are doing.
Just scanning through youtube for a new idea for projects. I've never seen your channel before and I don't usually look up casting videos. I have never even thought about using a 3d print to make a mold. Good on you. This was very much a childhood favorite. They always remind me of alien dust mops. just kind of floating around cleaning up everything. Thanks for the entertainment.
I love your channel. I love the melted metal. You are very good at what you do. The Trilobites are really good looking. My Grandfather had a real one he found. I could never find it when he passed away. I use to play with it. Happy times.
I love trilobites. Great video. Your casting come out so clean compared to some of the other casting channels and I've learned a lot watching your videos.
They not only look really nice but they sound good too! I like the sound they make when they hit each other, and when you leave them on the table. That make me imagine trilobites chimes, trilobites castanets... :D
I've just watched a few of your videos and you've inspired me to get into casting, and also get a 3D printer! Keep up the great work and I love the commentary explaining the key steps! I will have to try and make a little trilobite for my wife since she's a geologist and loves them!
I recently discovered your channel, and I’m so happy to see someone who has such a high level of craft in their work. And if I get to own a trilobite then all the better to get to own a piece of your work!
I know I'm like 5 months late to comment on this video, but I just have to say... Wow. Sir, you are a true artist. I've watched probably hundreds of these types of videos on TH-cam, watching dozens of people cast and pour all kinds of designs and objects with all sorts of metals, and you are without a doubt one of the most talented that I've seen. I appreciate that you share your skills with us, and let us be a part of the process. Some folks might see this and say "what's the big deal? He poured metal into a mold." To those people, I suggest giving it a shot themselves. Especially on something this small with so many little details. Anyway, I look forward to seeing your other videos. I just wanted to take a moment to show and share a little bit of appreciation with you, for what you are able to do. Thank you. 🙏
You are amazing! My dad and I got a new resin printer recently and that is how I found you and you have inspired us, we are thinking of making a furnace to be able to start casting our 3d prints. Keep up the great work, you are an inspiration!
Great video and love that you combine a few skill. Use of the 3D printers and then casting the pieces. I have watched a few of your videos but this was the day I got talked into subscribing. Look forward to more to come and thanks for sharing!
I have watched several videos over the last couple years an can honestly say this was very well made, with exceptional explanation of the process. Keep up the great work, as I will continue to follow this page since I am fairly new to the casting world. Contest or not I believe I won already by stumbling on to your video. Have a great day, I am looking forward to the next video.

That's some of the best casting I've seen so far on TH-cam. Crisp, clean and keeping the details by getting the moulds out without wiggling.

I want one of these. Part of me really deep down wants a gaudy belt buckle that looks like that. Really cool stuff
If you don't win the contest, there's a guy on etsy that makes metal trilobyte belt buckles!
I'm thinking about trying some casting myself, though a trilobite would be great motivation to start
