How to cast bronze TRILOBITES │Metal casting at home │ Giveaway!

  • In this video I will show you how I turned a 3d sculpted trilobite into a 3d print and then bronze castings. I will be using my homemade foundry furnace to melt bronze and cast the Trilobites in sand called Petrobond.

    Wow, I used to cast aluminum and bronze in shop class back in high school. You ate taking it to a very impressive level! Keep it up!

    Loving these videos. I watch them on Saturday mornings with my kids. It’d be pretty cool if you occasionally posted the amount of time it takes for each stage in the videos. I’m sure the finish work takes a ton more time than most people realize.

    That's some of the best casting I've seen so far on TH-cam. Crisp, clean and keeping the details by getting the moulds out without wiggling.

    Just scanning through youtube for a new idea for projects. I've never seen your channel before and I don't usually look up casting videos. I have never even thought about using a 3d print to make a mold. Good on you. This was very much a childhood favorite. They always remind me of alien dust mops. just kind of floating around cleaning up everything. Thanks for the entertainment.

    The amazing thing about Trilobites, is even if you mess up the mold with the numerous variants of Trilobites no one could notice! Also, a bronze Trilobite would be a cool paperweight for my desk.

    I love your channel. I love the melted metal. You are very good at what you do. The Trilobites are really good looking. My Grandfather had a real one he found. I could never find it when he passed away. I use to play with it. Happy times.

    They not only look really nice but they sound good too! I like the sound they make when they hit each other, and when you leave them on the table. That make me imagine trilobites chimes, trilobites castanets... :D

    Im in love with trilobites since I was a kid.
    I found your channel looking for foundry videos, I´m and sculptor and never had a piece in metal, unfortunately I live in a small apartment and I guess that´s not the apropriated space to such a handling.
