    Hey, would you know of resources like Academic Transfer for opportunities in Germany and France? Thanks so much for making content inspiring others on their PhD journeys to believe research can be combined with travel to make a meaningful experience.

      Hi there! I haven't been following recent resources unfortunately, but for Germany and France I think Researchgate and Linkedin are the best resource.

  • @shubhammanchanda458

    Hi, I am looking for PhDs in Europe, mainly in Germanic and Scandinavian countries. Could you tell me if it is necessary to send a research proposal as part of the application to an advertised PhD on Euraxess, academic transfer or Xing (for Germany). So far, I have been sending cover letters, CV, Letters of recommendation, and relevant research work (if they ask any) but I have not been able to get shortlisted. I am aware that in Germany, we need a research proposal for individual PhDs. Could you clarify this please?

    Thank you for such an informative video! Information online states that a masters degree is a requirement, but do you know if it is necessary to have a masters degree to apply for a PhD if I have a professional degree (DDS/dentistry)? Thank you so much once again! :)

    • @havesciencewilltravel

      The short answer is no for one-person income. But if your husband finds a job and you all live outside of major cities, I think it is doable.

    • @havesciencewilltravel
      @havesciencewilltravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I started my PhD before I submitted my MSc thesis so I think it is possible. In your application you have to mention your expected graduation date and it's up to the professor to determine whether that fits the program or not.

    I have 6 months research experience which I acquired during Masters. I am keen on pursuing a PhD in Europe particularly in Scandinavian countries. Is 6 months experience sufficient to secure a decent PhD position or more experience is required. I am from Biotechnology background.
    ..
    Also , I want to know does one have to show any bank statements or property papers during Visa to show financial security?

    I appreciate it! I'm a recent engineering graduate. I completed my graduation project in a lab in Japan, and engineering degrees in my home country require at least five years of study; therefore, am I eligible to apply for a Ph.D. without a master's degree?

    • @havesciencewilltravel
      @havesciencewilltravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Based on my experience, the possibility is really slim. A Master's degree is a prerequisite in the Netherlands. Only in rare cases where it is possible -- you should get in touch with a potential PhD adviser for this.
