    Thank, that soft reboot was the ticket. It sorted out my white screen problem on down scan.

    I've been a hard-core fisherman for over 40 years but just now getting into electronics a little. Having already had a defective transducer that I just put put back on. Only to find out the until wouldn't go past startup screen. However you're tips got it running and absolutely saved Lowrance customer service a hillbilly tongue lashing!. Thank you sir I appreciate your video.

      It sucks having to go through this problem with resetting my screen everytime! Everything plugged in correctly, it just took three restarts to get it up and running. Also why does the system needs you to restart the sonar every time I start up the system? It becomes a hassle! I just used my lowrance hook ts9 for the very first time last weekend, then today getting frustrated because of this. I'm thinking of bringing my kayaks Garmin next trip for a back up!

    Hello, I have a new HOOK2 4x. I anchored to spend some time with the new unit. It reads depth fine but I sat in one spot for about an hour and it was like I was in simulation mode with hundreds of fish scrolling across the screen. It was sort of like a loop for a better word. I’m sure it’s not in simulation mode and don’t thinks it’s possible for that many fish to be constantly going under the boat. What do you think the problem is. Thanks for your help,

    Easy to use, works perfect for navigating lake and finding fish! Fish on! Caught 7 in 2 hours my first day out with it!

    I have a lowrance and it was loosing bottom at 10mph I noticed it was about 4 inc above the bottom of my toons so I moved it down and now can keep bottom at 30mph but got a new prob it keeps bottom but has no pic unless I reset the unit back to factory setting. Then it works fine until I shut it down and next time I turn it on same problem

    I have a 2019 Hook 5. Turn on and a white screen comes on, All I want is the colored sonar screen that shows structure/brush and symbol of a fish. Please help...Mark

    My StructureScan 3D was working so I plugged it in the 2nd channel of the module, now it works but only the left side on side scan

    Only thing I could see was the hook echo come on the screen and nothing else would come up. Yes the hard reset worked. Thanks!

    How do I fix my side scan because it does not side scan images just the line down the middle

    I have the Lowrance HDS gen 3 with 2 HDS 9's. My console unit stopped showing sonar and side imaging. Swapped the bow unit to the console and it is now reading both. The unit from the console is now up front and it still won't display the front transducer but will show the consoles down imaging but not from the trolling motor's unit. I think the unit went bad. Any ideas?

    I have a Hook7 TS. This unit has performed flawlessly for 3-4 years. Yesterday it worked fine for a couple of minutes, but then I suddenly lost all definition between the surface and the lake bottom. Just a blank white and the bottom shown by a string of dots making more or less a black line. I will try your "soft reset" but I'd like any other help you can offer.

    I have an Elite 7 HDI and came with the HST-WSB transducer. With this transducer selected in the sonar/installation I only have 4 pages to choose from instead of the touted 8 and no downscan. Is this normal? Do I have to upgrade the transducer to get more features? Nothing I found online says this is the case.

      The HST-WSBL will only give you 2d sonar.
      You will need the HDI skimmer.

      Lawrence needs to fire the design team on the hook 5. Unit startup screen would not change. I unplugged the unit and plugged back in an now nothing. Talked to someone in India for forty minutes. I can replace the unit for $20 less than a brand new one. Why can they build one that last.

    Purchased a used tracker with a hook 7. When I turn it on my gps screen is white and doesn’t show any location or map just the arrow head. Do I need to add anything to this unit for it to work properly or do I have to start shopping?

      It does sound like a Hook 7" X units. The "X" series units are GPS only fish finders, no mapping feature.

    I'm getting a message "cannot connect to GPS module" I checked the connections. This is on a LMS 330. Would a software update help? Soft reset? How can I test the GPS puck?

    Hi Guy's,
    I get this message.
    Cannot use high chirp while structure scan is in use...
    I have a 9" elite ti2..
    I'm not sure what I've done.. I use to be able to run 800hz but now I can only run 200hz. I have a 3 in 1 transducer.

      turn off high chirp (try 833mhz or 200mhz) on sonar, then you can go to advanced options in sidescan to start it up again

      Had to select transducer type again...
      I have 3 in1..... for some reason it had changed back to unknown transducer type.

    have a brand new reveal 7 tripleshot,,as soon as i powered it up i noticed a unfamiliar flickering i havent seen on other lowrance,,,after setting up the unit and starting sonor it wont scroll,,it stays in one place,,,when i put it on side scan only has a small part of screen at top

    Have a HDS 2 touch that is stuck at accept screen. Tried soft reset. Tried screen recalibrate( it still recognizes touch) but when i hit accept nothing happens. Any info on this issue?

    Why does the hds7 have that annoying 3-5sec delay when scrolling through the menus?
    Its really annoying.

    My hds7 chart screen locked up gps cursor is working. Deleted trails & still locked up.

    From yesterday to today there is a shift on my chart, my trails and routes are out of the water on the chart graph. The trail and routes are correct, the water has shifted about 30’. Does anyone know how to fix this, I did a software update this morning, then went out on the lake and noticed that the map was wrong. I have done a soft reset already.

    I have a hook reveal triple shot. It will not read the bottom deepth correctly when I’m moving. U also have to turn it off and on when u stop to get it to read again.

    I have a 7 elite ti, used it one day next day transducer didn't show anything but 3 --- no depth no fish the navigation still works

    Hello Jake,
    I'm at my wits end, I've got a 2020 Lund Impact with Lowrance Hook 9(bow),Hook5 (helm) both Reveal. The 9 just quit working 1 day on the water, I sent it in Lowrance proceeded to send me a new that was bad out the box. Sent that back they sent me a whole new unit again Hook9 Reveal, hook it up the push wires would not stay in. I called Lowrance they said spray WD-40 in ports, I did which then caused and air lock. Finally after 2 days I managed to have power/transducer wires hold. Still no depth,no temperature and wouldn't sync up. Hmm ok I took in my Minn Kota terrova had a new transducer installed, checked all wires Fusz block I still don't a working unit. This has been 3 months of back and forth with this unit. Please help

      Oh my God Jake...As I live and Breathe... They would have to throw a net over me and haul me away, if I went through all that. I had a X40 Lowrance in the late " 90's", Never had an issue ever. I think the sofisticated this stuff gets , the more it gliches, and has issues, hope this isnt the case with our F22 , Raptors, and F35's . Try a soft Re Set, as A Russian Missle is bearing down on you!!

    Haven’t used my finder since pre COVID. Been in storage the whole time. Both finders are shit. Lowrance hook5’s bs one year warranty.

    Sonar just has vertical lines when it is moving,works when sitting still

    customer service is useless, if you past warranty they wont even fix anything at your own cost! i have a unit with a corroded power button that seldom turns on and they looked for every excuse not to help me... they suggested i buy a new unit!

      I called them yesterday about my startup problems, they sadi they don't provide any technical assistance and to call a Ranger dealer so I can wait a month to have them look at it SMH

    "WARNING" this video says that the "soft reset" will NOT erase your waypoints! Not true. Did the soft reset and lost all of mine, over 500 waypoints on my favorite lake. And the problem still exists. Hook4 still shuts down for no reason. Proceed with caution.

    Lorance hook 2 is the biggest waste of money and the sorriest depth finder I've ever used. Not recommended.

    I do not recommend problems all the time. After logging, the lakes suddenly disappeared, the service claimed to take care of the problem, but half a year passed and nothing else. Hds live connected to a motorguide engine does not work anchor to a given waitpoint. The customer counts only until the time of purchase, then remains alone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AGAIN. TAKE FROM COMPETITION FRAMEWORK, SURE PEACE OF MIND.

    I unfortunately purchased a Hook 12” TS and it has gone completely unresponsive, won’t turn on. It’s only 1 year old. Customer service isn’t helpful, can’t get ahold of anyone in America, they’re all based out of India. A complete waste of $1,000 dollars. Extremely unhappy with Lowrance. I guess that’s why Humminbird and Garmin lead the industry

    TODDLER STYLE MELTDOWNS.... Yes, my fellow Electronics Fisherman, The second Time out , The new Hook 5 ss , would Turn on, say Hook Lowrance... few Seconds later go blank. I wanted to go 5150, scream and go Bald Lettuce.
    I read once; Electronics like people get confused easy. Gonna try the Soft reset, ect. Im mellow easy going , but Electronic stuff makes me want to flip the Grand Piano off the Stage.

      @Lowrance Issue Resolved, however , There should not be a need to reset anything. These Modern Graphs can accomplish far to many things, than most Fisherman will ever use, except for the Extreem fanatical Fisherman who literally lives on the water. Although the mirid of features are Tremendous bang for buck, I believe the " Chip", combined with the Electronic pathways , are self overwhelmed, due to a lack of each components balanced match of each Components... To many cars, on to unequaled amount of Roads, so to speak. The Soft Reset ,featured on ," You Tube", was the Solution.... and hopefully
      will not have to be done " Very often" .
